Story : Kyu is a normal high schooler, except that he has great sense for solving crimes. One day he witnesses a man falling down from a construction site. After some events ( watch anime ) he is able to prove that the man was murdered and was offered an entrance to dan detective school, the top school in Japan that creates young detectives headed by the best detective in Japan. There he makes several friends, enemies and continues to solve mysteries and crimes. And well it just goes on.

The crimes are intersting to solve and have quite unexpected results too. Its really fun to watch , although you can only watch it once. After all if you know the ending of a mystery novel, there aint no mystery left is there.

Animation : Is so so. Nothing special ehre.

    Enjoyment: A very enjoyable anime.

Verdict: Recommended for at least one watch.

Story : Karen Maaka( In the dub version anyways ) is a young energetic girl. Except shes a vampire. Except shes an - unvampire ? Instead of sucking peoples blood due to blood shortage, she injects her blood into people due to her excessive blood formation. Aside from her family no one else knows this fact.

One day, Usui sees Karin biting someone in the park, which he thought was strange. Except he saw it many times and one time she bit his mother. After that incident, her mother became very energetic and was always cheerful. He was confused for a while but as the story progresses, he uncovers the mysteries about vampires and how they benefit people, and sometimes not. Of course since its a romance comedy, he develops feelings for Karin as well. Typical and expected but mehh.

Its interesting to watch and although the story is predictable, its not that bad.

Animation : Animation quality is very good although the characters look to much cartoonish.

Sound : The dub is horrible. Its watchable though but sometimes I just go like WTF!!! your not supposed to say it that way. Or like have more emotions god dammit are robots dubbing this thing. Well thats to be expected of most dubs but I had to say it anyways.

Character : The characters are standard romance comedy types. Not much iteration is possible anyways to please the ecchi fans.

Enjoyment : After all that harsh words, this anime is actually quite fun to watch.

Verdict : It isnt all that bad so its worth a watch. Nothing more , maybe something less.

Story: Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni : Kai , is called as the solutions or answers arc. All the weird feelings and wtfs we got in the first season are finally answered here. No more confusions, no more strangeness. From here onwards its just pure awesomeness.

Rika Furude is the main protagonist here( actually shes always been ). It is explained here why there are many arcs, why Rika always dies and why the murders of Watanagashi actually occur. As this is the answer arc, there wont be peole hacking each other to bits, but trying to prevent it.

Rika Furude finally finds out the mastermind behind the murders, the volcanic eruption incident. Now that she knows this there is just one thing left - to stop the villain. Two arcs take up this storyline which is about 19 eps.

Animation: Same as the first one. Although a little improvement and no weird faces either.

Sound: As expected from a sound novel, great sound.

Character: Characters arent as "expressive" as in first season :D Although i personally find it a little more calming they dont go berserk from time on.

Enjoyment: This is the answer arc. Things get clearer and better to understand. Which is why its more enjoyable than the first season ( for me at least).

Verdict: This is a definite must watch, before which of course the first season must be watched.

Story : The story is divided into several, interlinked ( sort of ) arcs. Each arc explains a bit of the story through each character's point of view.

Keiichi Maebara, a young high school student moves to the town of Hinamizawa. One day he learns of a certain "incident" which occurred 5 years ago. His curiosity increases when all his friends continue to keep secrets from him. As time progresses, he learns of the gruesome murders, betrayals, which take place on each night of the Watanagashi ( cotton drifting festival). This year, he is next.. or is he?

The story arc execution was carried out nicely. I congratulate the original game designer who made the several arcs interlinked with least discrepancy.

The story of Higurashi will always keep you on your toes. This anime isnt really predictable at all. As the story progresses, you learn more about the history of each of the girls and how they are all linked to the mystery murders. Of course the main character still remains the same.

Animation: I personally found the animation mediocre. Specially the scenes where the girls make some weird faces.

Sound: The sound in this anime is well done. As expected from a sound novel :D

Character : The characters are made extremely moe as to counter k-on!! Which is why its scarier when they start killing people.

Enjoyment: Every episode ( almost) was interesting is this anime.

Verdict: If you havent watched this yet, I suggest you watch it when you can. Its a rare type of anime which rarely comes along and is enjoyable. Of course its also recommended to watch the second season.

Story: Onizuka is a simple man. He enjoys porno and staring up skirts like anyone else :D This pathetic, virgin former motorcycle gang member has enough of his old life. He wants change. He has an idea to become a high school teacher so that he can stare at young girls all day. Of course things arent going to go as smoothly as he wants it to. He is a delinquent after all. With almost no educational qualifications, he tries to apply as a teacher in various schools. Due to some circumstances( watch anime ASAP ! ) he gets accepted in a private school as a middle school teacher.

This story is about Onizuka trying to be the greatest teacher, by being the greatest friend to his students. He is assigned the trouble section of the school, a class which is known for taking their pranks too far, bombs and what not . His mission ( self proclaimed ) - to gain favor of all his students and help them ease their previous pains. He uses extraordinarily different methods to gain each student to his side.

Filled with comedy , romance , and mostly comedy the story sets out with Onizuka trying to become the greatest teacher in Japan.

The story is awesome and you have to read the manga after you watch the anime as it leaves it half finished.

Enjoyment : You will enjoy every second of this anime and wished they would have completed the series as per the manga. Oh well.

Verdict: If you havent watched this yet, I suggest you get it as soon as possible.

Story : A strange remake of the classic, The Count of Monte Cristo, this anime sure does stray alot from the original story but the main plot is the same.

Edmond Dantes, The Count of Monte Cristo, was a sailor once in love. He, his fiancee and his best friend Mondago were always together. Mondago, however, also fell in love with his fiance. Mondago's love was too much for him to bear, so he framed Dantes for a crime he did not commit and took his fiance for himself. Edmond was locked away, far away for a long time in an isolated region of space ( in the book an island). This is a story of his revenge.

In the anime, he was imprisoned for over a thousand years and after he escapes, becomes suddenly rich for some reason. You will have to read the book for more details though, though its irrelevant.

He returns for revenge against his friends and their betrayal. He buys nobility and changes his name to the Count of Monte Cristo. The plot is deep, as expected from a remake of a masterpiece.

In the start of the anime, the Count meets Mondago's son, Albert, by "coincidence" on the moon. He "saves" his life after which Albert becomes his best "friend". The anime continuously unravels more mysteries about the Count from the viewpoint of the son and his friends.

Animation : The animation may best be described as unique. I gave it a 10 since its a change from the normal anime. The strangeness yet unique nature of the textures perfectly complements the serious nature of this anime.

Sound: Opening and ending piece are by JJ Burnel. The music generally is classical, and uses a lot of pieces from old composers of the time (1800s). The music beautifully complements the story.

Character: The characters in this anime are wonderfully portrayed. The Count specially, is good reason enough to watch this anime.

Enjoyment: This is one serious anime. Its one of a kind, a masterpiece if you may .

Verdict: This anime is a must see for anyone. It is truly one of the best anime out there.

Story: This story is about two roommates who share the same name. One is an energetic young girl, Komatsu 'Hachi' Nana and the other is a punk band vocalist, Osaki 'NANA' Nana. The anime is mostly about romance and NANA's band. The story is really intense though. Its not like any shojo anime where there are tons of guys around one girl getting all worked up or the other way around in harems. The story is very lifelike and believable. Theres a lot of drama here.

The story starts with both Nanas meeting on a train on the way to Tokyo. Hachi is going there to meet with her boyfriend while NANA is going there to restart her old band. Due to some events, they start living together. This story is about their career and romance and how their lives intertwine. Any more info will just spoil the story.

Animation: Animation is great. Greatly complements the style of the story.

Character: There are a lot of characters here. Hard to keep up with names but thats what makes it fun.

Enjoyment: I watched it in 2 days :( nuff said

Encode: The encode may ruin the experience for some people. Its kinda blurry but watchable.

Verdict: This anime may possible be the best shojo romance out there. Possibly the most realistic romance anime out there as well.

Story: Year 2075. Humankind has advanced into outer space to such a degree that space travel is not a luxury. However space is full of debris. Small particles even as small as a pebble that revolve around the earth at 8km/s are dangerous enough to destroy spaceships. This story is about Hachiroda Hoshina, and his job at the debris section of Technora. His job - to collect this debris. He is not appreciated much for it but its because of him that space travel is possible.

The story may not seem that interesting at first. But it gets very interesting. The realism of possible space exploration depicted in this anime are very good. Which means there are no people flying on clouds in this anime( or breathing in outer space for that matter). For the first thirteen episodes or so it just involves the main character collecting random debris. But its still very interesting to watch. The story starts off at about episode 14. Hachi aims to join the first manned mission to jupiter, and has to choose between his girlfriend and his dream. It just goes on like that, its a drama after all.
Overall its still worth a watch.

Animation : The animation is top notch, even till date better than many anime considering it was released in 2003. As expected from sunrise, nuff said.

Enjoyment: You will love each and every episode of this anime.

Verdict: Everyone should watch this anime at least one. Its not great, but its damn well good.

Story: After Ed is in the other world, and Al has recovered his body, its been a few years. Al is travelling around, looking for clues that could link him back to his brother since he believes he is still alive somewhere. In the other world( Germany ), Edward just works around randomly i think..
One day Ed finds someone who looks like Bradley, and due to some events ends up dragon hunting ( Envy ) ( The time period is before WW2 where Hitler takes over Germany ). Anyways basically Hitler hires a group who believes they can make alchemy work in their world. They want to conquer Al's world since they believe its a place of infinite power. The brothers fight on each side of the gate to stop them of course. Hard to explain, but an awesome conclusion to FMA.

Animation: Better than FMA1. Very good indeed

Verdict: Watch it NOW and get FMA 1 if you havent already.

Story: Lelouch, the exiled prince of Britannia, is just an average high school student who loves to gamble. On a fair sunny day of beating someone at chess, he witnesses a bus accident. While trying to help, he gets stuck in with the japanese rebels. They are carrying what they think to be a bomb. They detonate the bomb, but what comes out is an immortal witch. Granting Lelouch the power of the king, Geass, he sets out to destroy Britannia and his father the king who destroyed everything in his life. This is his revenge, not completely. The plot mainly revolves around Lelouch's hatred towards Britannia and his determination to obliterate Britannia, as he puts it :D . R1 starts off relatively fast but not as fast paced and interesting as R2, but still awesome enough. Dont be fooled people, this is as fun as it gets watching anime. ALOT!

Animation: Animation is top notch. Designs are done by clamp, which i personally find weird since the characters have huge heads and stick like body. Weird indeed. Aside from that its all good.

Sound: Nothing much to say here. Its not that good, but its well enough i guess.

Character: Characters development mainly revolves around Suzaku and Lelouch

Enjoyment: Nothing to say here. Its one of my favourite anime of all time.

    Verdict: Its a must watch.

Story : The story will never seem interesting if you just read about it. When i first saw the synopsis , I was like wtf!. I got it anyways, and I never regretted it. The story starts with the main protagonist obtaining a notebook in which the person whose name is entered dies. Simple plot it seems, and boring. You are wrong. From the first episode, starts the high octane, tension filled intense anime which is Death Note. The protagonist sets out to kill all criminals using his death note, while battling against the detectives, mainly L, who are trying to find his identity and arrest him. While maintaining his cover as a college student and the chief of police's son, he tactfully manages to evade pursuit and turns most events into his favor. Kinda reminds me of code geass though. He basically sets out to create an ideal world in which to survive, people will have to pass his assessment. He wants to be the god of this newly created world. Of course this is one of the few anime in which the main character is the evil guy, but it remains interesting this way. Must watch!!

Animation: This is one of the few anime ive seen whose animation quality is just AWESOME. The animations are very life like. Nuff said..

Sound: This anime has one of my favorite soundtracks and bgm. The sound beautifully complements the ongoing scene and moods.

Character: Character development is good. Multiple characters come in later in the anime which just improve enjoyment much more.

Verdict : One of the best anime till date. Must watch!

Story : There isnt a story here, just endless baseball. But thats not the part we are anticipating here. The constant battle of wits with the manager and the pitcher, and strategies to maximize one outs, is superb. The anime is not about going to the championship, its all about the money and the wins. Dont be fooled people, this is pure baseball tactics and gambling. It doesnt get any more interesting :D ( its very interesting btw)

Animation: Top notch animation. Nothing more to say.

Sound: The soundtrack and bgm is amazing. It perfectly complements the current condition and state of mind of the players.

Character: Tokuchi definitely reminds me of lelouch or light, which is why it gets interesting. But dont be fooled, he will continue to surprise u in every episode.

Enjoyment: This is one of the few animes ive watched without fast forwarding a single second. Its just too intense to miss a single second.

Verdict: Amazing. Must watch ASAP. Recommended for all types of anime watchers.
