This is the third installment in the Nodame Cantabile series and is a one-of-a-kind anime (at least in my experience). It is about youngsters in their twenties growing up/aging and learning about the art of music. Thus it's main theme is music. But it also has a bit of comedy, slice of life and romance in it. All of it together creates one of the better animes there are.

The animation is great. Probably the best scenes are those in CG when the characters are playing their music piece. But overall it is terrific too, smooth character animations and believable motions make this anime win 10/10 in animation.

This is a music anime, surely the music should be good. Which it really is. Classical music passes by, but also some jazz. But if you really hate classical music, then keep in mind that most of the music practiced in this animation is that type of music.

Character are at times a little rough around the corners, but it is not really that annoying. For example, Nodame's character make her at the same time kind of enjoyable to watch, but not really that realistic.

Overall, I enjoyed this anime very much. As such, I would advice it to anyone who likes a good anime. Be it with romance, music or comedy, this anime is a very good watch.

On a special note: The encodes provided are one of the absolute top I have seen around here. Sharp 1280 x 720 resolution anime with about 23 minutes in length, weighting only 75 mb. That is a masterpiece on its own. I applaud Praddy for this accomplishment!

This anime is shortly said about baking bread. It may sound a little strange, but when you look around in the anime world, there is also an anime about Mahjong, Shougi and etc. I wouldn't say the story in this anime is good in particular, the idea is there but it is stretched over too many episodes (69!). Many scenes could be missed without degrading the anime as a whole.

The animations are okay, like the hands preparing the dough and the people cheering and fainting from eating bread.

Voice acting is quite good actually. The characters might be a little over the top, but their voices correspond with their action and personalities.
But at the same time I didn't really like the characters. Azuma Kazuma (the protagonist) is too naive in my book. They should make at least their main character less stereotypical and less like a side actor. It is not really bad in a sense, but there is certainly room for improvement (in combination with the story).

Even though there are such bad points, I enjoyed wathcing this anime mainly because of the reactions of judges eating Azuma & co.'s bread. There is also some wordplay, which might be enjoyable to some.

All in all: This is a good watch for people in the mood of a comedy. And more importantly, do not understimate the power of bread!

    Quick review:
    >Robots that play basketball... Original at first but it's just anime basketball (which means physics-denying) on a larger scale.

    >Very good animations of robots tough and the environments are pretty good as well.

    >I liked the OP and ED music pretty much, so that's quite a plus for the music in the anime as well :).

    >Characters are not very well worked out. And at the end of the anime you don't have the feeling that you know them well. On top of that is the annoying pet the main character has, that makes stupid jokes in serious scenes and destroys a bit of the tension that was built up.

    >Overall I enjoyed this anime for it's fast pacedness in the basketball scenes and maybe a bit for the over-the-top approach to physics as well.

The storyline is sort of original, I don't remember seeing a similiar story like in this anime before. Boy is in military, flees from them and then goes to a church to be safe from the military that's chasing him.
However, after that first part it quickly gets boring with very bad character progression and unbelievable emotions. He keeps sobbing around about his past and doesn't seem to move forward one bit.

Battle animations are up to par with some other anime out there. And also the backgrounds are pretty large and detailed too, but there is some recycling as the decor doesn't change much.

I don't think I like the music, it tries to be classical or something with very heavy emphasis chores (high pitched singing) and some churchlike instruments. It fits into the decor, but not so much in an anime of this type, if it even has a type.

I did wait for episodes to come out and there were some point at which I wanted to view the next episode, but it's story and mostly character progression takes away some of the fun.

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya 2 adds new episodes to the previous story: The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.

The storyline is still wacky and pretty original: There is a girl, Haruhi, with the ability to modify reality. So prepare for some weird moments! Kyon, the main character, really does his job well in describing the reactions a normal person would give, or for that matter, you would give.

Character animation and background are really good in these series. Motions are fluid and nice detail has been given to the background. It is not perfect, but still very good.

Nothing special with sound. Though the voice acting was pretty good.

Characters get a bit stereotypical over time, however, with the last encoded ep (14), things seem to change a bit ;)

The downfall of this series is the arc at episodes 12-19. In that period, the same story is told over and over again, because time is reset on a certain day to 14 days before that day over and over again. You might wanna consider skipping 13-18 and only watch 12 and 19 of the, already infamous, Endless Eight.

Superb encoding! ~77.5mb for 1280x720 is absolutely magnificent! Bravo! :D

In my opinion the story is nothing exceptional, but it'll do:

Young guy loses his parents and meets his super-rich uncle. He is then send to this school for super-rich people for his education and that's where this story starts.

The animation is pretty good, but also not exceptional. Fluid character motions, including the fights.

Sound, ehhhm, voice acting is very acceptable, with no unusual delays and fitting voices for the characters, but the music is average.

Character, some different characters make their appearance and it is quite unclear to whom Teppei has an affection and will end with. Also the five main characters have their own story and background so it's very much so okay.

The school for the super-rich and how a guy that grew up in a family with normal money levels gets thrown in there is quite amusing.
If anime about wealthy families or persons is your thing, this anime is definitely for you.

Story: Very girlish club anime about Mahjong. The main character, Saki, is very good at Mahjong, but doesn't like it at first. Over time she makes friends and starts to enjoy playing it. Not very original so far.
I can't figure out sometimes what audience it is tuned to, because there are many girly scenes like pinky promises and pink backgrounds, but Nodoka has the huge bumps up front that don't fit into the girlish audience, but more a manly one.

Animation: The drawn style is a little more detailed than some other animes, but the CG Mahjong table with the effects is the best part of this show. Not only are there fluid drawing animations, but the rest is also good.

Sound: Aside from the SFX sometimes, it doesn't stand out much.

Character: Kind of superficial, I don't get the idea that there is much depth in the characters, however they are not absent, so it's not bad.

Enjoyment: I like anime about the weirdest things think Yakitate Japan (Bread baking), Bartender (Cocktails), or Hikaru no Go (Go), so I enjoyed this anime for that it gave me some insight in Mahjong. However it didn't give me as much insight as I hoped it would, so some reading is required to understand just a portion of the Mahjong played.

Encode: 736 x 416 ~56mb, Edges are a little vague (might be the anime itself) sometimes but overall decent.

Conclusion: Recommended for the mahjong-interested or just to watch as a side-anime.

Story: Kind of unoriginal. 2 Countries are at war, small town gets involved. And some people from there go into the army and we see their story throughout the war.
Animation: Great drawing style. Pastel colors and a new 'sketchlike' shadow.
Sound: Nothing special, but nothing bad either.
Character: Welkin is quite the funny character, he is unsociable in a new way ;)

Overall I liked the military theme and the approach they gave it. With some CG here and there and some very cool machines and war strategies, this anime is a good watch for any action fan.

Decent encoding. ~60 mb files 704x400 resolution.

I'm wondering why you would give this anime a 9. It's storyline isn't that good. It is broken in some places with flashbacks and fillers.
It has decent fight animations but there is no immersive emotions or whatever readable on their faces (just the exaggerated quickly-drawn huge screaming heads).
This also affects my character rating.

There are some good soundtracks in Bleach and weapons sounds and other SFX (like the Cero blast, that one is awesome ;D)

However, because of the fillers and other un-important scenes/episodes, the enjoyment rating drops to a 'normal' 8. (actually, normal is 6.5-7)

Great encode though. 736 x 416 Resolution in a 60mb file of 24 minutes length. And it's not pixelized when resized.

Overall, nothing spectacular, but it will keep you occupied.

    I don't like much talk. ^^

Lots of military stuff (weapons, etiquette, etc.), so if you're in that kinda thing, you should watch this anime.
Also some humor and cool plot twists are present in the story.
Characters are not very deep, but still the kind you would understand and like.

Haven't watched this encode, so I'd like to not fill in anything, but as I can't I will fill in a placeholder 9.

    An overall enjoyable anime.
