    About the STORY
Some of the elements are not so different from your everyday anime. However, the plot is definitely something to look forward to. It can be refreshing and not predictable unlike some typical storylines of today. The storyline is on the heavy side but it’s not tragic enough to become tasteless. It’s not all gore and blood but there’s actually an interesting story. he flow of story is made in way that the revelations are even more exciting. Since it’s a survival-kind of story, there’s also the element of psychological drama.

    About the CHARACTERS
Main protagonist is indeed one of the strong ones out there. Driven by extremely strong resolve; his personality is perfect for the plot of the story. Interesting villains, I must say. They are not only weird physically speaking but as a whole as well which make them even more interesting. They are actually the major difference of this anime from the others. There’s a wide variations of characters and through-out the series, almost all have huge character developments.

    About the ANIMATION and SOUNDS
Outstanding animation. One of the best of 2013. The fight scenes are different from the typical ones most particularly when the characters are using their unique gears. Therefore, it makes it even cooler and stands out from the others. Character designs are quite different with its “manga-like” style most specifically with their facial expressions. Amazing soundtracks to back-up the interesting storyline. Every important scene feels even more powerful because of the soundtracks. I personally like the 1st opening song.

    About the ENJOYMENT
This is definitely the best I’ve seen in a long, LONG time. When someone is fed up with the almost the same animes everyday, this is definitely great for “otakus” like me who’s looking for something new or something not obviously predictable. From story to characters to animation and sounds; almost all the important elements of the series are made professionally and amazingly to bring out the best of the anime. I am definitely going to follow this in the manga and hope for a sequel in anime.

The story is not particularly explosive. However, the thing with coming of age or slice of life story is that, it’s the most relatable and authentic. The drama is something that any type of viewer can relate to. It can be boring at the beginning but that’s usually given with this kind of genre. The magic happens when an author is able to make a slice of life story interesting which in this case I believe is successful enough.

Almost all the characters have something to offer with the whole impact the story brings. Each of their personal issues makes the genre of the story more effective.

I am not a technical person but I still somehow can tell how nicely done the animation of the series is most particularly when the characters are playing. And let’s not forget the amazing sounds that the series has. Even the subs by the seiyuu’s are interesting and refreshing.

I’ve seen amazing series about classical music (Nodame Cantabile) and pop music (K-On!), so this time, jazz is added to my favorite list of anime about music. It’s about love, family, drama, music, and most importantly it’s about friendship. It’s really worth to watch.

    About the STORY
This somehow will remind you of “The Minority Report” by Steven Spielberg; a futuristic world where you are judged by a system which is almost looks perfect but still makes the world so flawless. It’s the question of “whether one shoot pull the trigger” just because the system tells you to. It’s a story about beliefs and how strong one’s resolve to hold on to those beliefs. There’s a healthy dose of violence and profanity but that’s one should expect from the writer who can balance a good story and violence. It is episodic at the beginning which is perfect for an investigative kind of plot the story has. The story has quite a deep way of explaining things which can be somewhat beyond the understanding for some. On the other hand, for some who’s open-minded, the flow of story can be very interesting on its own way.

    About the CHARACTERS
Main characters are strong, personality-wise; a character that has dark past and goes the path of revenge for an old enemy and a female lead which is an innocent and novice character enters the world of violence which will test her resolve and beliefs. However, as the story goes by, the female lead becomes the epitome of how the age of “damsel in distress” should have ended already. With the kind of story the series has, the villains are always the most interesting. These kinds of villains will always leave someone thinking, “He has a point there”. You could even say that he’s more concern about human beings than anybody from the series. At the end, a viewer will have conflicting feelings of disliking and liking the villain which proves how a character can be effective and in my book that’s a plus.

    About the ANIMATION and SOUNDS
If you’re someone who’s been around in the anime world in a long time, you are most likely very familiar with the animation since it’s similar to a certain anime (Katekyo Hitman Reborn)! The character designs are quite different from Reborn series. However, the most noticeable are the two main characters that have the strong resemblance with some Reborn’s characters; Kougami looks like Kyouya and Tsunemori looks like Yuni. Setting aside the similarities from Reborn! series, the animation is still undoubtedly way more detailed and amazingly done particularly when the “Dominators” are involve. And even the fight scenes are one of a kind. A series with a cool sound I’ve heard in a long time; opening songs, ending songs, and even the insert songs are really cool.

    About the ENJOYMENT
It may have resemblance to Reborn but that doesn’t mean they are written by the same person as this series is SO much greater than Reborn series. The storyline conveys conflicting feelings for any type of viewer and stimulate one’s way of thinking which I believe what a worthwhile watching experience should be. I guess the moral lesson is that at the end of the day, human beings are still the ones who should handle their lives. They are the ones who should decide right from wrong and good from evil. They are the ones who should carry the burden and overcome them. After all, they may look fragile but we humans still survived living the harsh reality of the world after all this long, LONG years of daring to live life.

    About the STORY
It’s different in a sense of how the flow of story is done! It’s definitely not the typical or traditional way of storytelling. Not to mention that the first half is kind of in the heavy side and the second half is lighter. But it is also true that the first half is a lot more exciting than the second part where there are more flashbacks. One of the most interesting parts of the series is the monologues particularly from Hamlet and The Tempest by William Shakespeare. And the bad side is, the series’ storyline might become too boring for some who prefer more action than talking as there are countless moments for arguments or showdown of reasoning rather than something really happening.

    About the CHARACTERS
The two main characters are like combinations of the typical characteristics of shounen series protagonists; one is physically strong type character and the other is the smart type which makes their tandem great for the type of the story the series has. It’s interesting that a dead character can manipulate the story so much. And almost all the characters have interesting roles which is quite rare as there are countless of series with huge number of forgettable characters.

    About the ANIMATION
As one of the latest series of today, it’s really a great thing that the animation, particularly the action, is leveled up. There’s amazing details in the fight scenes which makes it even cooler and exciting. Plus, the character’s design is also something to look forward to.

    About the ENJOYMENT
For someone who loves literature like myself; having Hamlet and The Tempest as the basis for the story is really amazing. It is no doubt one of the most exciting series of today but that is mostly from the first part and some in the ending. However, the start of the second part gradually makes it less and less interesting and exciting. It is more of the comical approach which is so different from how it started. Nevertheless, I still feel contented. it still definitely left an impression with me.

With the first episodes you would think it would be all comedy but with the revelations at the end, it slowly becomes serious and nice. After finishing the whole thing, there’s obviously a nice balance of comedy, romance, and drama.

I believe literally all the characters have something to offer and interesting.

Animation is not particularly explosive but it is definitely well-made and you can feel that it’s very “now”.

I absolutely enjoyed every episode. It’s worth-watching again and again with its fun and somewhat light story.

    And then there’s a 6th………..

    About the STORY
It’s so like Naruto series to twist the “normal-kind of storyline” and revive dead characters but this time in a different way. The drama of the movie is one of the most touching parts of its storyline; Naruto’s lack of family. It’s one of the most authentic dramas the series has. A very interesting plot compared to the previous movies where it was just the same old “a mission” kind of plot most particularly the unsuccessful previous two movies.

    About the CHARACTERS
The characters made the story really fun and exciting most especially the “Menma” thing. It’s also interesting to see everyone differently and to see Naruto have a family.

    About the ANIMATION
The animation is as amazing as always befitting a movie and Naruto movie at that. it may not be as explosive as before but it is still amazing and exciting.

    About the ENJOYMENT
The first thing I thought was, it would be boring because the previous two was really lame then Akatsuki appeared right off the bat and everything becomes awesome for me immediately. I bet that most of the Naruto fans will enjoy this one as we get to see lots of situation that we won’t be able to see in the original story. It’s like a very rare chance and among all the movies this is the first time that almost every elements are perfectly balance; action, comedy, animation, sounds, characters, and especially the drama. I strongly believe that makes this one by far the best among the series’ movies.

Here comes a little refreshment for your usual and everyday animes.

    About the STORY
Arabian night; a rare theme and setting for an anime. It’s a perfect setting for a story of magic and adventure. A story of clearing dungeons using magic and getting treasures just like in games will surely get attention of viewers. There’s a nice blend of action, adventure, drama, a little bit of comedy, and even politics. It’s not just all about fictional but there are no non-sense drama and politics as well. However, it has the tendency to become over the top or cheesy. Just like other stories, there are few boring moments.

    About the CHARACTERS
The main character is not particularly the physically strong type of protagonist but definitely strong character, personality-wise. Not to mention, he’s also very adorable. For an adventure kind of story, it is given that there quite a number of different characters. And some has their individual circumstances explored in the story.

    About the ANIMATION and SOUNDS
Animation is really nice and perfect for the setting. The graphics, fighting scenes, and effects are exciting. Even the character designs are clean and detailed. The soundtracks also reminds of desserts which is perfect for the Arabian Nights theme.

    About the ENJOYMENT
A really enjoyable series I’ve seen for quite some time. The setting and theme is quite the refreshment for our typical daily animes. That said, it’s not particularly “that” exciting. It’s lacking a certain edge that can separate it from the others. Some of the important elements of the series are already the usual things like batlle between bad and good, wars of different countries, a mysterious organization, and a protagonist who just appeared. Nevertheless, it is definitely still interesting and exciting. And I am sure to wait for the sequel.

    About the STORY
Attention-grabber from the moment it starts. Cool and exciting appearances and fight scenes right off the bat. Interesting concept for the plot. However, it may not be as surprising if you have seen so many animes with the same storyline. Every episode needs to be watched carefully in order to know and understand the mystery plot of the story.

    About the CHARACTERS
For a 13-episode long series, there’s a huge lists of characters to choose from. Almost all of them are interesting and would leave such impression which is very rare nowadays with the long lists of animes released every season. And besides the interesting part, there are so many cool characters that any shounen viewers would enjoy.

    About the ANIMATION and SOUNDS
The animation is definitely one of the best of 2012 with its unique and intensifying graphics and effects. The fight scenes are one of the most exciting out there. That being said, it still lacks in the details department. If there are more details in the fighting rather than effects alone then it might be able to go on par with some famous resident shounen action series. The amazing animation is even accompanied by cool soundtracks. The character designs are very noticeable with its distinctive and gorgeous layouts. Another thing which makes the series a huge “project” is the gathering of almost all the most famous and multi-awarded seiyuus.

    About the ENJOYMENT
Non-stop excitement and enjoyment for the plot but the flow of the story is not particularly new. And the action part has so much potential if only there are more details with the fight scenes. But still, it’s been a while since I’ve enjoyed anime this much.

I am very sure that everyone in their childhood had experience “CHUUNIBYOU”; that moment in our childhood days that we embarked in our own fictional world where we have amazing powers.

    About the STORY
It’s not particularly exciting but its light, fun, and still hilarious. The plot is original and the flow of the story is interesting. Both the drama and comedy elements are not far-fetched at all. The drama is authentic and very relatable. There’s also nice timing with the comedy parts.

    About the CHARACTERS
As it is a story about weirdness and all; it is given that there are over so interesting and funny characters with different antics. And not to mention they are so adorable and cute.

    About the ANIMATION
As expected from the animators of Clannad, K-On, Hyouka, etc; Kyoto Animation did an incredible job with this one as well. The character designs are so adorable and cute. Even the delusional fighting scenes are awesome which can be compared to some GENUINE action series.

    About the ENJOYMENT
I laughed, I cried, and I was inspired. It’s not only fun and enjoyable but the lessons that the series is trying to convey is really inspiring. This series might as well explained why anime, hero, game, cartoons, movie enthusiasts embarked in their own fictional world. For realistic people it might be beyond their comprehension but everyone has the right to choose their delusions and reality. Being realistic doesn’t necessarily make you stronger. Everyone has their own way of coping with lost and too much pain.

A seemingly typical comedy school life story but actually has a major twist. It’s not a first time we see stories with switching bodies’ storyline but the approach is definitely new. In fact, the lessons which are the results of what’s the situation brings to the characters are kind of aspiring. Stories which involve life at stakes always come with a heavy drama however; I do believe the series wasn’t able to achieve it. There are moments when it‘s really far-fetched. The problem is, setting aside the main plot, the flow of the story itself has the strong tendency of becoming really boring.

The characters are not particularly interesting. They are not the type that leaves an impression. I believe the only interesting character is the one responsible with all the happenings in the story. After all, he’s the one who LITERALLY tries to make the flow of the story interesting. It’s not that exciting but I like the lessons learned from the different situation that the characters have to face. Too bad, that even with a unique plot it’s not really interesting.

It is highly recommended that before watching this, see the first series first!!

I don’t want to start comparing but it’s to be expected if we’re talking about two things with strong relations.

I strongly believe that trying to achieve the complicated and confusing storyline of Eureka Seven is very far-fetched this time. This “continuation” lacks that certain excitement that the first series had. Indeed, the story of Eureka Seven was complicated but it was still well-made therefore, the storyline still became something exciting and interesting.

The only time things get exciting is probably the time when Renton finally appeared. It’s extremely exciting to see characters you encountered before in a different way. It’s very nostalgic. And the only one I love about the series is the very adorable Noah!

    There’s a reason why it’s famous………

    About the STORY
As it is after-all a role playing game story so the series is packed with action and adventures. It’s quite educational for people with zero knowledge with this kind of industry as there are tons of details about anything about Role-Playing-Game. As it is a survival story, the drama is quite in the heavy side but nevertheless, it is still accompanied with light elements such the nicely made romance part of it.

    About the CHARACTERS
The two main characters are quite rare combination because it’s not very often you see both male and female protagonists who equally can kick butts as it is usually the cliché “knight and shining armor plus damsel in distress” kind of set-up. It is refreshing to see both on fair and equal roles. Each characters’ role whether protagonists, antagonists, and even the second characters are well-executed.

    About the ANIMATION
The animation is no doubt one of the top of today’s famous series. There are extremely cool fights and beautiful landscapes. The character designs are well-made although; they kind of look like characters from a slice of life series. The impression of all-so-cool action/adventure looks are lacking or in this case, different. Well, as the series progresses it doesn’t matter already.

    About the ENJOYMENT
Virtual worlds and role playing games or rather being in a fictional world are probably not only dreamed by game otakus but almost all anime otakus as well who dream at least once to experience a fictional world where there are powers or weapons to use and villains to fight. This series is the epitome of that dream and I believe in all fairness this series is able to justify and features drama that comes with it. And although the characters look so cute for a shounen action series, their strong and admiring personalities still made them cool. Plus, you get two different adventures in one series.

So the most arrogant sports protagonist with the equally most arrogant characters returns in the anime world again with its new series.

With a new series comes with a new story as the majority of the players from the previous one are gathered in a training camp. There are new and much bigger obstacles that the players have to face. It is way harder than all the obstacles they’ve faced before. There’s also a whole new and different kind of drama. The previous one was interesting enough but I think it was still lacking with the certain excitement that would make you anticipate what was really happening. This time, I believe it is way more interesting and exciting as there are some twists in the story.

I am not really following the manga so I am not sure with the time gap from the last one but I am pretty sure it’s not that long since the national tournament but I think there are some characters who noticeably grown, particularly Ryoma. Oftentimes, I am genuinely wondering if these guys are really middle schoolers. It is given that with a new series comes with new characters as well. But the fun and interesting part is that we get to see almost all the characters from different schools working together. Enemies of yesterday are “nakamas” of today. As the characters are divided, we get to see who will improve more. It’s the battle of the players training in the modern way with the most advance technology or the players training in the most primitive way of survival in the mountains. We also get to see characters that seemed so invincible before, push to their limits and actually get beaten for the first time which really proves that the opponents this time are in a complete different level.

I strongly believe that the most obvious improvement and change is the animation. Now, we get to see what the series would look like if it’s done today. There are tremendous improvements in the character designs. Some of the nasty looking characters are now gorgeous looking. Sometimes, it feels surreal seeing their 2012 versions. Before I know it, I am already snapping away lots of pictures with just the first few episodes of it. But what I am more excited about is how the moves and techniques improved this time around. As always, this series just loves exaggerated moves which makes it look like it is no longer tennis at all but that’s just the way this series is. But the good thing is, it really improves now. It is no longer overly done. It is cleaner and a lot sophisticated compared to the lousy ones before. You can really feel that it is latest.

I genuinely like this one way, way more compared to the ones. It definitely improved a lot in almost all important aspects of it. And I will admit that I enjoyed this one more compared to the first season and national arc together.

    About the STORY
The comedy is well-made and it is surprisingly well-balanced with the drama element of the storyline which is quite rare. Not every story like these one can balance those two elements well. Parodies are well executed.

    About the CHARACTERS
There interesting and really inspiring character development for the female protagonist is something to look forward to. And, she might not admit it but it all thanks to the other main character. These two main characters probably have one of the most unique, inspiring, and fun relationship. The titular main character is given to be the most interesting; not only is she hilarious but can really give serious advices.

    About the ENJOYMENT
It’s the best with parodies next to Gintama which is the God of parodies. It definitely made me love “parodies” even more. It’s not just all comedy and funny moments but the story definitely has substance. And like some of my favorite series with very few episodes; it’s extremely irritating that it only have 12 episodes despite how amazing the stories is.

    About the STORY
There’s a surprisingly balance of comedy and horror/mystery which is extremely rare. It’s not every day you see an anime with very convincing horror/mystery in it but still able to do comedy. And another great thing is ecchi, drama, and romance genres are also nicely incorporated in the storyline. And what’s more exciting is that it’s a slightly episodic series. And of course, mysteries always come with the extremely exciting and anticipating revelations at the end.

    About the CHARACTERS
One of the amazing things with mystery stories are the equally mysterious and over so interesting characters. The road to finding out who really they are, their secrets, and their pasts are the most anticipating because it is the key plot in the story which is obviously the reason for the title of this series.

    About the ANIMATION and SOUNDS
The animation made the horror and mystery parts so effective, convincing and exciting. The sounds are also well chosen with important scenes or moments in the series.

    About the ENJOYMENT
There’s a haystack of mystery stories out there and this one is definitely a treasure find among them. Every element of the series is well-incorporated with each other and the result is one amazing story. It’s one of the most entertaining and most interesting mystery stories I’ve watched in a long time.

    About the STORY
To be honest, the basic layout of the story is very typical; an almost terminated club that becomes the center of the story, a typical laid-back protagonist, a cute and very curious ojou-chan character, a noisy yet brilliant sidekick, and a very chivalrous tsundere-like character. However, the mysteries and how all of it is solved is the thing that separates the story from the others. It’s almost so funny yet amazing that even the simplest and smallest incidents become an interesting mystery to be solved by the characters. It just shows that mysteries don’t necessarily need to have very complicated plots to make it interesting enough. The details with the investigation or theories are so brilliantly done. It definitely makes anyone anticipate the revelations at the end so bad.

    About the CHARACTERS
Just like the story, the line of characters is also very typical. However, each of their character is still made interesting. That would be because they just look typical at first but as the series go by, the depth of each character is still explored. There’s more to them than meets the eye. It’s also noticeable that each character has their individual set of mysteries and issues themselves. And the protagonist is not the only one with a very keen observation because the other main characters are also quite smart on their own way.

    About OREKI HOUTARO
The protagonist couldn’t be perfect for the type of story the series has; a lazy and most of expressions are “mendokusai” and “muri” type of guy yet still incredibly smart. It’s the typical lazy protagonist whose eyes always say, “I don’t care” but in truth still goes out of his way to do something for others which can be cute sometimes. It’s almost like a “tsundere” character because of not being honest of what he truly feels. It is given that if it’s a mystery story, the protagonist has a very keen observation; a very important skill of what a mystery protagonist should have.

    About the ANIMATION
In the line of the 2012 animes, this series is one of the few with very noticeable well-made and very modern animation. Even the characters are so modernly and nicely done particularly Chitanda Eru who can definitely compete with some all-time favorite female characters. The sounds are perfect for the genre of the series. It gives more feeling and anticipation in the mysteries of the story.

    About the ENJOYMENT
Mystery will always be a hit particularly for me. Like others, mysteries always bring the most exciting feeling of storytelling. The thrill of discovery will always consume anyone, either a mystery fan or not. What makes the mysteries of this series different from others is the fact that it’s not the very cliché complicated mystery you see every day. It’s just simple incidents on the school but somehow it becomes so exciting and interesting. I believe it’s amazing in itself as we all know that those typical complicated mysteries are always the one that would immediately get anyone’s attention. It’s a whole new and definitely different approach with mystery. Though, it’s really kind of weird that they are Classics Club when they’ve done nothing but investigate. They should have been Investigation Club or Mystery Club.

    About the STORY
The key plot is different from the usual that makes the edge of the series from others. There are also nice explorations on different basketball techniques. It is educational and something that you only get on sports series. It is all nice that the storyline has quite fast pacing but it’s hurting the story of the series. There is not much story or drama on it because of the extremely fast pacing of the storyline.

    About the CHARACTERS
The thing about sports series is there will always be quite the number of characters. There are lots of interesting characters to choose from. Of course, it is given that in sports series there would be arrogant opponents that give more thrill in the story. But, if the fast pacing of the storyline is hurting the story itself, the characters’ development is even more affected. There is almost no time for characters to be explored.

    About KUROKO TETSUYA
One of the original in the series is the protagonist’s character which indeed quite rare for a sports series. It’s really ironic that it is given that protagonists should stand out from the rest of the characters but what if the protagonist’s role in the first place is not to stand out. It’s a first and can be challenging as well but the writer still manage to justify the protagonist role even if it’s primary feature is not to have a presence. The funniest thing is that even with the titular name, Kuroko is almost not exactly the protagonist himself. The center of the plot in the series is more on Kagami. The series features more of the amazing abilities of Kagami. Hence, their tandem is made. Opposite attract; one is expressionless and the other is so expressive, one is cool/calm and the other is hot-headed, one is small and then other is huge. It also just so happens that they are blue and red which is known to be always paired with each other. The light and shadow thing is really perfect to describe these two.

    About the ANIMATION
The basketball games are made thrilling and as different as possible. It’s animated nicely with the incorporation of latest graphics. It’s almost believable which basketball fans would still appreciate. The character designs are also well made.

    About the ENJOYMENT
It’s quite ironic that the first thing that I like about the series is the fast pacing of the storyline and it just so happens to be what is lacking with Slamdunk which is my only concern with it. However, if Slamdunk was extremely slow with lots of flashbacks, this time it’s extremely fast. You would be surprise that within one episode there’s actually two consecutive important games. There is countless uniqueness in the series which really makes it a refreshing anime experience. With the huge amount of animes of today, even a slight originality in a series always gets my attention immediately. I also like that the series is trying to convey the true meaning of teamwork. It is definitely important in almost all sports particularly in basketball.

The comedy is just so clean and sophisticated that anyone would laugh so hard even for the first 10 minutes of it. What I love about green jokes is that the humor part is already overwhelming the ecchi part so at the end it didn’t matter whether it is ecchi or not because you are already having one hell of a laugh. So I strongly believe that it would not be too much for conservative people or those who does not appreciate green jokes. And another amazing thing is when you thought it is a serious moment it turn out it is another hilarious moment. I just love when they do that.

Kintaro is one of the most unique and most hilarious characters I’ve ever seen in my many years of watching animes and reading mangas. Though his type of character, which is very perverted but still very kind, is already common, it is still very rare that they are incredible smart as well. You would never even imagine him being so smart and one hell of a quick learner because his very ordinary looking. His not all perverseness but he actually love to learn that’s why the series becomes very interesting with its episodic style. His humor is just one of the top and can be considered genius. It is so damn natural. Plus the voice for his character is making it a lot more hilarious. It is making me crazy and I just want to hear it over and over again. (Seiyu! GENUIS JOB!) I think overall his character is very well-made and very likeable. And I am extremely in love with his character.

My biggest disappointment would be that, HOW COME THEY DIDN’T MAKE THIS INTO A SERIES?! Six episode is not even nearly enough for this amazing and hilarious story. I just want more of it.

Like I always said that there is ALWAYS an expectation for sequels to be at least a little bit better from the previous. Honestly, it doesn’t feel like a sequel. There are no sign of improvements whatsoever. I even think that it was more hilarious before. Though, it is A LITTLE BIT disappointing that there is no difference from the previous season. Well, I guess it is way a lot better than making the sequel different in the worst way. But my biggest disappointment would be that it is only a freaking 8 episodes. It’s as if making the last season short wasn’t enough, they made it even shorter. Come on! Why can’t they make more episodes for this amazing series? How come the amazing ones are always made so short and the boring ones are always way longer?

However, I am still genuinely glad that I get to see more of them as I really love this series. I just can’t get enough of the so irresistible, cute and hilarious characters of this series most especially Yoshioka, the one with thick eyebrows. Plus, the voices give more cuteness to their character. (Excellent job Seiyus). What I love the most about these characters is that even though they have their differences and would quarrel or bicker a lot, they still have a very close relationships and deep down care for each other.

    About the STORY
There’s absolutely a whole different kind of storyline in the series. Ecchi, drama, romance; there’s a new approach with these types of genres in the story. Toss aside holding hands, hugging, and kissing; Imagine romantic bond and communication of a couple by sharing their drools. Now, that’s a different kind of romance alright. The very fact that the romance is so different makes the normal romantic moments worth the wait. It’s what makes the series romance aspect still nicely done in its own way. Even the ecchi part is not your typical one. There’s a different stimulation that you definitely rarely see in your everyday ecchi series. It’s not overly lewd or far-fetched with so much fanservices. It’s just like a little tease but still justifiable.

    About the CHARACTERS
Majority of the characters can be considered as common but the main protagonist is definitely a different story! Have you seen a character that puts scissors on her panty, conveys her true feelings through sharing her drool, and vomits a huge amount of drool when happy? I bet you haven’t! The title couldn’t be perfect for her character. In fact, in every episode there’s a new mystery about her. However, despite her weirdness it is surprising how strong her resolve and beliefs are which makes her still an effective and likeable female protagonist. The main characters are definitely not your ordinary couple. Like, instead of kissing before parting ways they would share drool! Still, the originality of their relationship makes them memorable and interesting.

    About the ANIMATION
For some reason, the animation is not particularly that amazing considering it’s a new series. Well, I have a misconception that if its latest then it is given that the animation should be latest or amazing enough. The sounds sometimes would make you feel that the series is a horror one. It has a very creepy feeling to it.

    About the ENJOYMENT
It is true that there are drools everywhere but the most interesting part is how the writer still able to make a nice storyline out of it. Imagine, “drool” for a key plot of a story. Despite how it sounds, I still can’t help but be in awe on how creative and original it is. The writer is able to make “sharing of drool” still romantic on its own way. With all its differences and uniqueness from other series, it definitely spells “breath of fresh air”.

I’ve been watching anime for more than a decade and I’ve watched so many series with so much similarities. Honestly, it can really be boring and I ended up being fed up. And so, it is always refreshing to see something so original.

    There’s a long review coming………….

    About the STORY
This series is anything but cliché. There is so much uniqueness in this series that it’s almost like a sin. Nowadays, there are thousands and thousands of animes and manga so it’s really hard to create such original story. After watching this series you can’t help but be amaze how magnificently it is done. Indeed, the plot might be common with the story about a guy from the rich world and a girl from the poor world but the storyline in this series has made that kind of common plot to the next level. This is far beyond your typical couple from different worlds because they are literally from different worlds. The guy is from the rich world and the girl is from a very weird as in WEIRD world. Plus, the setting is under a bridge! And finding love in the weirdest and unusual place. How original can that be! Another amazing thing is how the seriousness and the gags are balance. Just when you thought that it is a serious scene you will end up laughing your hearts out. And if you think that this is all about laughter then you are horribly wrong because it actually have a very solid storyline that you will definitely anticipate to unfold. It even have a very cute love story and not just for comic relief but a serious growing sweet love. Surprisingly enough, I am the type who always wants to see the main plot unfolds immediately but in this one I couldn’t care less. I just love and enjoy their everyday lives and that shows how amazing it is. Even though every episode may not be that important to the main plot, it is still interesting to watch and makes you want more of it. I also love the lines whether it’s for comedy or serious dialogues which is very important for me because it always leave a strong impression.

    About the CHARACTERS
The one that shows how original this series the most are the characters. The characters are so original and unique. In fact, in my more than 10 years of anime life I’ve never seen such characters. You might see them on hardcore fictional type of stories but the characters in this series can actually be real. They might be crazy but they are actually real people who just created a community under the bridge. Each of them is unique and has their own weird personalities. They’re weirdness is just so hilarious. And their past and real identity is also very interesting because of its mysteriousness. Speaking of mysteriousness, the most enigmatic of them all is Nino who claims she is from Venus. Her weirdness is just like a character of a child who still has a lot to learn. Of course, Ric who stumbles in the world of the weirdoes. He believes that everyone is not normal and he is the only one with a straight mind but if everyone around you is the same and you’re the only whose not then you might as well think that you are actually the weird one. I like all of them from supporting characters to main characters.

    About the ANIMATION
The animation was magnificently done whether the scene is for laughter or for serious conversation. The colors and the landscape are breathtaking. Scenes where important lines are delivered are amazingly done. The seiyus are well picked and it’s like a gathering of all the most famous and talented seiyus. Seeing the lineup of seiyus gives an assurance that the characters will be great and their lines will be memorable.

With so much originality, it is no wonder why this series is considered one of the most famous animes of today. It will be a sin not to watch this and not love it.

I am a HUGE fan of Natsume Yujincho because not only it is supernatural; it’s also fun and so interesting.

The story is almost like Natsume Yujincho with the touch of romance. And as always Yuki Midorikawa is so brilliant with heart-warming and over so touching stories. The drama is not overwhelming and just right to give any viewer a healthy dose of tear-jerking moment.

The characters are so interesting. And just like Natsume, they are so likeable.

How the animation is made is also very heart-warming. You can really feel its resemblance from Natsume Yujincho.

Now, this is what you call original or unique story; a love story about a zombie girl and a guy who dreams of zombie girls. There are so much interesting and refreshing things in the storyline. The scary, comedy, drama, and romance parts are all well-balance.

If the story is unique, wait until you see the very unusual characters. There’s a father who loves his daughter so much that it’s becoming incestuous. There’s the very weird and unusual boy who loves zombies and dreams of having a romantic zombie encounter. And not only his personality is strange; his appearance is also very weird. Well, it’s not every day you see a protagonist with hair that looks like cat ears. And that’s even more with a love story. He’s definitely not the typical cool male lead in a love story. Finally, there’s the zombie female protagonist who dreams of a normal girl’s life and that includes experiencing a normal romantic life which is extremely weird considering she’s not “normal” in the first place. It’s weird that she has to be physically abnormal just to have a normal life. And this is the first time I see a very “kawaii” zombie. In this way, she looks more like a vampire and not a zombie at all.

I really love vampire love stories and I already seen so many. I also love zombie action stories but this is definitely the first time I encounter a “zombie love story”. That kind of originality is absolutely interesting and refreshing not only from the everyday anime but also with the everyday love story. If you are fed up with traditional animes or love stories that look like made by the same person then this series is like a breath of fresh air. It’s not particularly exciting as there are not really explosive plot like some mainstay shounen animes of today but it is still very much interesting.

At last, after waiting seemingly a very long time the movie is finally here.

The story of the film is just basically a different ending for the anime version about the graduation of Yui, Mio, Mugi, and Ritsu. This time, they go to the land where so many famous musicians came from; London. As always, the storyline is nothing spectacular or intense or mind-boggling as it is one of the specialties of the series where even with an extremely ordinary or simple storyline, the story is still very much interesting and fun. If you look at it differently, it’s really amazing how it is still entertaining with its simplicity because nowadays, animes’ plot are getting more complicated. It is cuter, more fun, more hilarious, and most especially, there are more nice music. Plus, there’s even a bonus music-like video at the end.

    About the STORY
The story is honestly somewhat like Eden of the East. It is similar in the sense that it is also a survival game with randomly chosen players who are promised a reward when they become the winner. They are also using cell phones to monitor each other. The thing about survival stories is that the storyline is not the conventional or your everyday kind of story. It is twisted and complicated yet so interesting at the same time. You’ll really have to work your brain with this type of story. The drama is also in the heavy-side as the storyline is really tragic. The original part of it is also the most interesting part of the story which is the unique and so interesting plot. There are countless twists in the story which is really making every revelations anticipating.

    About the CHARACTERS
Another great thing with survival games are the very interesting characters that comes with it. Because it’s a gathering of complete strangers, each of them has interesting and unique back-story. Each has their own interesting circumstances which led them to use and take the survival game seriously. And if there’s one similarity they have, majority of them are insanely twisted which no doubt making their characters more interesting and exciting. You would anticipate the next twisted and insane things they will do. The protagonist is definitely not your everyday self-righteous, heroic, reliable, and cool type of protagonist. In fact, there is absolutely nothing particularly memorable or special about him. You’ll even get irritated by him at times. And the funny thing is, almost other characters are way more interesting than him who’s supposedly the main character. At least all of them are doing things which they believe is righteous and put their convictions into it unlike Yukiteru who just go with the flow and let others pushes him around.

    About GASAI YUNO
The most interesting of all is the character of Gasai Yuno. She’s twisted, crazy, smart, scary, and mysterious. She has almost everything a character needs to make them interesting and memorable. Her very unique form of love is what makes her interesting as because it is literally the catalyst to her every action. It’s obviously her strength and makes her really amazing. Oftentimes, her insanity can become comical because she can just say morbid things very casually and acts like its nothing. And even with her craziness, she’s usually right with her suspicions of others unlike the very dumb Yukiteru which keeps him safe. She’s a bundle of mysteriousness as you really can’t tell what she’s up to. She’s the main source of excitement in the series with all her insanities. Her character proves that women are extremely dangerous when they are crazy “in love”.

    About the ANIMATION
The animation has a strong feeling of “now”. It is quite obvious that it is a latest series. The details to the insane and creepy expressions of the characters are nicely done.

    About the ENJOYMENT
It’s definitely not the conventional anime. It will give refreshment to your usual and very cliché anime that sometimes makes you so fed up already. Another reason to go back to the anime world. The storyline and plot that the series has is one of the best and one of the most original I’ve ever encountered. And with this series, I found my new favorite character; Yuno. For whatever its worth with all her craziness and insanities, she’s one hell of a very interesting and badass character. If majority of the characters will give you mix emotions, she’s the primary character that will give you so many emotions. I just love her so many different crazy and creepy expressions. She may be badass but I really pity her character. And as much as I like Yuno’s character. I hate Yukiteru’s character so much. One of the most irritating characters and protagonists I’ve ever seen. I’ve never seen a character that gets manipulated and fooled so many times in a series and a protagonist at that. And what I love the most with the series is what it’s trying to convey. This series shows the extent of what human beings can become and can do to make their wishes come true. And no matter how much they justify their actions or put silver linings to their reasoning, at the end of the day each of them are still doings things for their own wish at the expense of the lives of others.

    About the ENCODE
I am really surprise and amaze at the same time with how the series is encoded. Surprise; because I initially thought that because it is very small it will be very low quality. Amaze; because even if it’s very small every episode is high quality.

A whole new different story and a whole new heart-pounding action.

    About the STORY
There is a different new story from the OVA. It is more interesting and exciting. There is more depth in the drama particularly with the psychological aspect of it. The storyline is clearer and more relatable compared from before. And more importantly there are tons of moral lessons to learn from; pain and suffering, running away from reality, accepting reality, and most especially the importance of true friendship.

    About the CHARACTERS
There are new characters to choose from who’s each background are well-explored. Someone can really relate with their different situations. The new characters in the other world are definitely something to look forward to.

    About the ANIMATION and SOUND
The animation is the most memorable with this series even from the OVA. The attention to details with every design, graphic, landscape, and fight scene is just unbelievable. The action is on a whole different level compared from before and any other. Plus, the sounds just complete the whole package.

    About the ENJOYMENT
With all honesty, I never consider the OVA any special like majority think it was so I wasn’t really expecting much from this adaptation. But I couldn’t be anything but “wrong”. This is something that comes in every hundreds of animes. It’s something that genuinely makes animes elevated. If I have a disappointment, that would only be the “8 episodes” that the series has. I am definitely wanting for more.

    There’s a long review coming…………

    About the STORY
There are major different revelations from the past and back stories of the main characters. This really makes the storyline way more interesting than the previous season. There is even a look back at the love story of Rikuo’s grandparents. There are exciting mysteries to be revealed all throughout the series until its ending. There are more exciting yokai yakuza clan’s fights over territories or who’s the strongest. And this time, it genuinely feels like one. If we have seen stories about characters using chakras and reiatsus during battles; this time we will see characters using “fear” in order to fight which only befitting for a story about yokai. Using chakras for ninjas, reiatsus for shinigamis and fear for yokais. The action is a lot more exciting. The techniques are also in details. These improvements really make the series truthfully an action series as before was not really that convincing. Again, there are another interesting trivia about Japanese folklores.

    About the CHARACTERS
It is given that sequels always have new characters. From villains to allies to past characters; there are new interesting characters which really make the series more interesting. There are a huge number of new interesting yokai and ayakashi. As there are revelations from the past, we get to see some of Nurarihyon’s and Rihan’s (Nurarihyon’s son and Rikuo’s father) interesting back stories. And it’s really fascinating to see the three (Nurarihyon, Rijhan, and Rikuo) appeared together. They even sparred together. Compared to the villains before, the antagonists in this sequel are more powerful and made more irritating. It is also rare to see a female antagonist go against a male protagonist particularly if it’s a shounen series. It’s kind of refreshing. And another thing, it’s kind of weird that the female antagonist is fighting while holding a school bag.

    About NURA RIKUO
There’s also a major character development for Rikuo which makes him likeable and memorable compared from the last season where his character was not. His character improves a lot and becomes far more interesting. If in the previous one it wasn’t convincing if Rikuo was really the leader but this time, he’s acting more leader-like. He was undecided and despises his yokai side before, but this time he finally learns to accept that his both human and ayakashi which really shows how matured he has become. It also makes him cooler. He’s not the typical protagonist who would always shoulder everything or the self-righteous hero type. He literally trusts his subordinates and knows that he needs them which no doubt makes his character likeable.

    About the ANIMATION and SOUND
It hasn’t been that long since the season one so it is extremely surprising that the animation improve this much. The fight scenes are more in details which really makes every action scenes exciting and anticipating. The illustrations and character designs are more refined. The details in the “fear” aura are interesting. It’s really just like using chakra and reiatsu. As always the sounds is so perfect for a story about yakuza and yokai.

    About the ENJOYMENT
It is no doubt that this is far better from the previous season. Somehow, it’s kind of unexplainable. It feels like they are two different series. From storyline to characters to fight scenes to animation to sounds; every element of the series improves tremendously. It’s not boring anymore and there are no longer dull moments. The back story of Nurarihyon made me love his character even more. He’s so cool and interesting. Now, this is more like a story about battles between groups with strong members. This is definitely making me like stories about team, group, crew, and gang fights even more. I just love stories that don’t let just one character to fight. The ending is a little bit of disappointing but in a greater note, at least this obviously means there should be a sequel which I prefer than having it really ends here.

As majority of animes are influenced by Japanese folklores or yokai stories comes another series about battles of territories between yokai.

    There’s a long review coming………..

    About the STORY
The story is interesting in the sense that there are quite a number of adventures dealing with different yokai. It is also about battle between clans as it is very famous and typical in Japanese stories. Fighting over territories and competing who should lead or not; It’s really like mafia clan battle but the difference is it’s a battle between yokai clans.

    About the CHARACTERS
As this is a story about yokai and leadership over countless of yokai, there are quite a number of yokai. There are many interesting variations to choose from. However, there are really no particular likeable or memorable character. The grandpa is quite cool for his age. Sometimes, I still can’t believe that he really looked like the gorgeous Nurarihyon when he was younger. He’s younger version is a lot more gorgeous than the night form of Rikuo.

    About NURA RIKUO
Nura Rikuo is somewhat the same with Natsume Takashi of Natsume Yujincho who started of bothered by Yokai. And also with Sawada Tsunayoshi from Katekyo Hitman Reborn for not wanting to succeed a leadership that is force to him. Gradually, as the series progresses all these three learn to accept it because it’s who they are. When someone has something to protect they always tend to get stronger and have an absolute resolve. He also has an alter ego who’s very different from him not only physically but with the whole personality just like a typical protagonist with a dark side or alter ego. Rikuo’s day form is not that impressive and the night form is way cooler. However, both are not particularly memorable, character-wise. I guess, the thing that’s admirable about him is his sense of responsibilities.

    About the ANIMATION and SOUNDS
The attention to details with the different yokai is really nice. I personally like how the Nurarihyon and Rikuo’s night form looks. Making the hair like that really helps on making him a yokai and stand out from the others, thus, really making him the boss. The whole Sakura petals scattering whenever the night form of Rikuo appears is really quite beautiful and cool. Is it just me or one of the themes really sounds like the Harry Potter theme? It is also quite amazing that there’s a massive gathering of the most talented and famous seiyus in the series; from important characters to the small roles to villains.

    About the ENJOYMENT
I gonna say, what’s with very young boys inheriting an extremely dangerous and important leaderships. If you’re a yokai or Japanese demons fanatic then this is absolutely for you. A yokai story is always a chance to learn more about Japanese folklore whether it is fictional or not. However, setting aside that I believe the pacing of the storyline is quite slow. Sometimes, episode would end without an important or exciting thing happening. It really makes the story less interesting. The plot is interesting enough, that much I can say but I believe it’s lacking a certain impact or certain excitement. It is not exactly what I expected it to be as I’ve really wanting to see this in a long time since everyone seems to like it.

The story is interesting and exciting but not enough to make it memorable. Of course, there are new characters but also not interesting enough to make them particularly likeable. The only thing that makes it really feel like a movie or the most exciting part is the animation. Plus, we get to see Killer Bee in action and that’s even in a movie.

I’ve said this many times but Naruto Franchise has been my number one favorite since the very beginning of my fascination with animes. Even after so many years, it’s still undisputed so I’ll be honest in saying that I really have lots of expectations. It is true that it is a little bit better compared to the previous movie, “Lost Tower”, as it was really disappointing but this movie sequel still can’t live up to the greatness of the third movie, “Inheritors of the Will of Fire”. I’ll admit that I at least enjoyed it but still. It’s quite hard because you kind of expect so much with sequels most especially if the previous ones are really great.

As animations are getting better every year, nowadays, animes are competing with its very latest and new generation of animations. This series is one of them.

    About the STORY
The story is somewhat typical. It’s not new to see a story about a completely ordinary male character meets a female character who turns out a special weapon or can be one. That being said, the plot and storyline is still very interesting and exciting. The story is about war and people die in war so the drama can be authentic. Plus, there’s also the psychological element in the drama which is always part in any drama about war and survival. The revelations of the plot is really interesting and something to look forward to.

    About the CHARACTERS
Some characters are interesting but not interesting enough to make them likeable. There is no particular character that can be really memorable. The protagonist is the typical type who started really weak not only physically but personality-wise as well. His not really the admirable or hero type like some typical or famous shounen series protagonist. When the story is about war, there are always quite a number of characters who have their own circumstances and own drama which are always because of the war.

    About the ANIMATION and SOUND
The most amazing thing about the series is the very brilliant animation. As animation of today is definitely getting better with every new series, you can really consider them as the new generation of animes. This series is definitely one of them with its amazingly done animation. The details in the fight scenes and when the voids are being extracted are really something to look forward to. It’s a little different from the typical animation which is very refreshing and exciting. The animation becomes even more amazing with the brilliant sounds. The whole thing becomes even cooler when accompanied with the great soundtracks.

    About the ENJOYMENT
It is interesting and the plot is exciting enough. But what’s truly enjoyable only would be the amazing animation. I genuinely enjoyed that part only because I was really irritated most of the time. The protagonist is not even memorable or likeable. He can be really irritating for the majority of the series and that’s even when he change quite a bit already. To be honest, I even prefer the weaker him at the start when he’s trying his very best compared when he gets confidence enough to make tough decisions. I think he becomes even more immature. I may not enjoyed it a hundred percent and was irritated for the majority of the series but the amazing animation accompanied with so cool sounds made it still worth watching especially the animation in the ending.

I’ve been curious about this series since the very moment I saw its picture in a site that I always get the latest anime pictures. The scary and mysterious look of it piqued my interest as I am a proud “horror lover”. Plus, the title got my attention so bad.

    About the STORY
The most amazing thing about horror and mystery stories is the exciting thrill that you get from it that you won’t get from any other genres; a certain feeling that only horror and mystery stories have. And that’s exactly what this series has to offer. In every new mystery comes with the excitement of finding out the revelations at the end. You are just itching so bad to know the secret and can’t wait. But instead you will still wait patiently for the faithful revelations at the end; that’s the kind of excitement I am talking about. The horror and mysteries are very well-made which makes it so effective. Even horror fanatics who are so used with this kind of storyline will be affected. The storyline is so mind-boggling and you even need to stop and think first in order to process it properly which really makes the plot so exciting. And because life is what at stake and everyone doesn’t want to die, the struggle to maintain sanity is also an amazing part of the storyline which makes its psychological element very interesting.

    About the CHARACTERS
For a mystery story, it is given that almost all the characters are so mysterious. Even the protagonists himself, who doesn’t know what’s really happening, is very mysterious. You will really pity the protagonist. Not knowing something that everyone knows can really make someone feels they are left out. The poor guy is new to the place and doesn’t have an idea what’s happening and he’s treated like an outsider.

    About the ANIMATION and SOUND
It is quite obvious that the series is very latest with its nicely-done animation and character design. It has the feeling of very “now”. The animation is nicely done and made very effectively for a horror series. It’s scary and creepy. Even the gruesome part is not overly done. One of the biggest contributors to make an effective horror series is the equally scary sounds which this series has successfully achieved. The sounds are making every moment even scarier and creepier.

    About the ENJOYMENT
I’ve never been this thrilled by a horror series since Ghost Hunt. Every moment will give you goose-bumps and excitement that only well-made horror stories can give you. The story will get your attention in just first 3 minutes of it. That’s how much interesting this series is. As a horror lover like myself, I just love this kind of series. The thrill of mystery and discovery always consumes me. And even after getting used to watching so many horror materials, this series genuinely scares the hell out of me. I can’t help but respect people who are able to create complicated, twisted, and so interesting story. Even knowing so many cliché storylines is still not enough to make someone predict the outcome of this story.

Natsume’s adventure with different “demons” has return in its fourth season.

    About the STORY
It’s a lot more dangerous this time as Natsume is getting more and more known in the spirit world as he gets involved more in their world. As it becomes more dangerous, the story becomes more exciting. The storyline is not so sad and gloomy anymore because Natsume is a lot happier now. And it’s nice that there are more funny moments now. There are more detailed revelations from Natsume’s sad past and some glimpse to the past of some characters. And as always, there are new very interesting and exciting stories about demons and spirits. Before, there’s an equal balance between sad and heart-warming when it comes to the drama but this time, it’s not so sad anymore and it’s more on being really touching. Though, it is really so sad to see some sad past of Natsume.

    About the CHARACTERS
Nyanko-sensei is bigger than ever which is a given because in almost all of his airtime, he’s either eating or drinking liquors. And I think his fooling around more than doing his job as a bodyguard. He’s kind of useless oftentimes but it’s not really a bad thing because it makes Natsume more independent and able to protect himself. And he cares a lot about Natsume even though he denies it most of the times. He’s still the biggest source of comic relief in the series with all his obnoxiousness. And he really gets a lot cuter with every new season because he also gets a lot fatter. You can’t even see his paws. He’s really like a big fat ball of fur. Natsume’s major character development is very evident. You can really see he’s transition from being sad and gloomy to being happy and open to others. From the first season to the last season, Natsume wasn’t able to completely opened-up to people but now, he can finally rely and trust others, both humans and demons. He’s a lot more honest now as well. However, as he gains loved ones, it scares him because gaining some is always a weakness and strength. And as it becomes a lot more dangerous for him and his loved ones, he’s resolve to be involved and compassionate to demons and spirits is put to the test. Unlike before, it’s very obvious now that some of Natsume’s closest spirits, demons and human friends care deeply for him who really helped a lot with his maturity and growth.

    About the ANIMATION
The gap between the previous season and this season is not that long so the improvements in the animation are not obviously evident but there is still maturity with it. And as always, there’s a nice song in the ending theme like all of its preceded seasons.

    About the ENJOYMENT
I really love this series and that’s even more with its every new season. Its new seasons always lived up to the greatness of the last one. But like before, my only frustration with this series is that it’s always a 13-long episode. I still want more and I am hoping there are still new seasons coming because I will still patiently wait for it.

    About the STORY
Setting aside the unique animation, the story is kind of the typical one. It’s a fictional historical story about chanbara (sword fighting). The love story part is nicely done but the comedy part is quite far-fetched. It’s a 12 episode long series but every episode is almost an hour long. And it’s episodic. There are lots and lots of talking. And when I say “lots” as in 80% of the series is all talking and that’s even during action scenes. The action part is the most or rather the only interesting and exciting part of the story.

    About the CHARACTERS
Most of the characters are interesting with their own uniqueness but not as interesting as how every character looks. Shichika is the typical all strength yet so dense protagonist. He’s weirdness and lack of emotions is because of how he was brought up. That’s why he also doesn’t know how to express his feelings to Togame. He doesn’t even feel anything when killing someone. In a way, he can be interesting because of that. At the beginning he can be so morbid at times and so emotionless but as the series progresses and with the help of Togame, he learns what it means to have a human soul. Togame is also the typical “tsundere” female character who always gets mad in order to hide her true feelings and embarrassment. Though she’s weak physically, she’s really strong when it comes to resolve and really smart. The protagonists can be considered a unique yet still sweet couple. Through-out the series they finally act like a normal couple like sleeping together, playing with each other’s hair while talking, bickering with the most trivial things, and they are quite intimate with each other. As the series progresses both experience major character developments as they learn lots of things together.

    About the ANIMATION
The biggest difference or uniqueness of this series form the others is the amazing artworks. From animation to character designs to fight scenes; everything can be considered as amazing artworks. In every episode there are colors everywhere which is so fun to watch. Even the characters are so colorful from head to toe. It’s like watching a beautiful moving painting. The character designs are not your typical ones. From the characters themselves to the outfits; it’s all different in a nice way. It’s really refreshing and fun to see all colors and designs on the outfits particularly the protagonists’ outfits. It is so cool. And with all honesty, the different character designs are more interesting and to look forward than the character themselves. The fight scenes are really nicely done that can even compare with some of the mainstay action animes of today. Though, that being said it’s only for a very short time as majority of the episodes are spent in talking. You could say that it’s not really an action-packed series. But the ending episode is the most amazing and coolest fight scene in the series.

    About the ENJOYMENT
The “all talking” rather than something really happening is definitely making the series less interesting and exciting. It can be really boring when it’s like that because before you know it, the episode is almost done with just all talking between characters. It has the best animation and most amazing artworks but that’s that. It is interesting enough but it’s lacking when it comes to certain excitement that would make you want to look forward the next episode. But still, I will admit that I want to save it to add to my collection but the ending is not really for me which is really a shame because I really want to save it because of the amazing artworks but unfortunately that’s not enough.

After waiting three seemingly long years without even an assurance of it getting an animation again, the sequel or rather the finale of one of the most famous series in the anime world is finally here.

    There’s a long review coming………….

    About the STORY
As the ending of the last season was so much of a cliffhanger, we are all wondering what happened after that. To my surprise, there’s even a shocking revelation right off the very first episode. It just shows the different new storyline and plot this series has to offer for this finale. There’s a major twist in the story this time because of an apparent major switching of sides of one of the main characters. It is really confusing but it’s just to make the revelations at the end anticipating. A full force war is always a perfect storyline for endings. And if we’re talking about war, it’s always about a battle of beliefs. Who’s right or wrong? What is the true peace? Whose belief will prevail at the end? As always, this series loves to use interesting yet quite confusing terminologies or names for its characters. Some terms are interesting and cool but some are quite mess-up and don’t even matches to the character’s personality and ability. However, I am going to admit that most of the dialogues and lines are really confusing.

    About the CHARACTERS
For a new season and for a finale, there are quite a number of new characters both from protagonists’ and antagonists’ side. Sakai Yuji has always been the type of character with an impressive improvement. From being a weak and tiny torch, he became quite a capable fighter that even Alastor was in awe. However, this time around his character development is rather more of a shocking character development which is so unexpected. Personally, I don’t even particularly like him because he can really become quite irritating but in this finale, he’s not only extremely irritating but he’s also really confusing. You will see Shana’s abilities like you’ve never seen it before. There are few new interesting techniques. I’ve always wanted for Shana and Yuji’s love story to really have a development because in the last previous seasons, it was quite in a slow pace but this is so far from what I imagine it to be.

    About the ANIMATION
One of the amazing things when there’s quite a gap between the previous season and the sequel is the improvement with its animation. There’s non-stop explosive action from start to finish, befitting the ending of one of the most successful action-fantasy series in the anime world.

    About the ENJOYMENT
I don’t find making Yuji a villain and making him fight Shana interesting. It surprises me, not in a good way. Yuji sides with the enemies because he wants to protect Shana and the people he loves. But Shana thinks differently. I know that the kind of drama that comes with that kind of storyline is very common today because it’s still very much effective. Making best friends or lovers go against each other particularly in series with wars at the end is really effective because it is really interesting to see characters that are once ally’s ends up becoming enemies because of their different beliefs. However, it just doesn’t feel right this time. After all the battle that Yuji and Shana had been through at the end Yuji sided with the enemies and fight Shana! At the end it just turns out that all of them want the same thing. Then what’s the point on making the villains so effective. I feel so irritated almost the entire time I am watching this.

I know that because this is the finale, they are going for a different and more dramatic kind of storyline and love story but it just doesn’t work for me. It is so far-fetched and so over the top.

    There’s a long review coming…………..

    About the STORY
Another story about gangs and delinquents. The only difference and uniqueness of it from the others is the very cute and extremely strange demon lord baby which makes this series interesting. The story is basically about the everyday adventure of the main characters. Sometimes, it’s not really clear if there is even a serious plot but the storyline is still interesting and exciting. There’s action and comedy in the series and both are made quite well. The action part is not that explosive compared to some mainstay shounen series of today but it still intensifying enough. And in all fairness, the comedy part is well-made because it can be genuinely hilarious most of the time. They are even able to incorporate humor during serious moments. And the only series I know that does that well is Gintama. Though, I honestly think there’s more comedy compared to the action part.

    About the CHARACTERS
There are quite a number of characters; some are interesting and some are really likeable. Everyone has their own version of uniqueness and weirdness. The great thing about delinquent characters is the very fact that they are simple or rather “baka” characters. They are not hard to understand because they are not complicated characters. All they want to do is to fight and fight. It’s all about getting stronger and who’s the strongest. There’s nothing like an all brawls and no brains type of characters. I just love Furuichi’s character. He’s the real deal. One hilarious guy. He’s the main source of comedy in the series. He’s punch lines are just so “genius”. Whenever they are in a serious situation or scene, he’s the one that brings light into it. The relationship of Oga and Beel is unique yet cute in many ways. But it is no doubt more of a father and son bond. Their relationship is the main key of the series. And as the series progresses, they are looking more and more like father and son as Beel-chan always copies everything that Oga does. One of the funniest characters is the extremely weird Great Demon Lord. It’s quite obvious that he’s the father of the equally weird and funny Beel-chan and Lord En. And because of him, I am sometimes wondering if there’s really an actual serious plot in the story.

    About Beelzebub
Baby Beel is just so DAMN cute! As if his appearance isn’t enough, his very cute “Dabun” and unique baby talk are making him even cuter. And he gets cuter and funnier as the series progresses. Before I know it, I am already snapping away lots and lots of pictures. And the fact that his naked and juts loves to dance are making him even more adorable and funny, too. He’s really a baby but most of the times he does acts like a grownup which is making him even more irresistible.

    About Oga Tatsumi
As most of the characters are not that of a serious character, the simplest or the “ichiban baka” of all is of course, the protagonist, Oga. The old school type of action character who deals things all bare-handed. All punches and doesn’t even need a weapon. The cliché “baka” character who just strikes without even thinking for one second. Oga is the very typical protagonist who’s all brute strength, laid-back, delinquent but deep down is very kind-hearted. Their type always act like they don’t care but the truth is they care so much that they just don’t know how to really express it because they are in the first place tough characters.

    About the ANIMATION
The animation is not particularly that amazing compared to those of famous animes but it is still nicely done. The character designs are really good and cute particularly with Beelzebub.

Combine extremely “baka” delinquents, weird demons, and a very strange yet so cute baby; you will have one interesting and fun series. Though, I’ll admit that the ending is not something I expected. I didn’t see that kind of punch line of an ending coming. But all in all, it’s still very much enjoyable.

I will give my review here as a whole for my review to the national tournament arc

So the most arrogant and show-off sports protagonist returns together with his teammates to play in the most awaited tournament that they’ve been waiting for; the national tournament. The drama is even more far-fetched and can be extremely over-the-top; players are on the verge of dying just by PLAYING tennis, losing memories before an important game, bloods are spilling everywhere. I mean come on! I almost forgot that I am still watching a tennis story particularly, the finals arc. I completely understand that it’s going for a more dramatic, theatrical and cooler approach as it is after all the ENDING. However, there’s also the concept of TOO MUCH and being incredibly over done. Somewhere along the way, it becomes absolutely far-fetched. I notice that the comedy part really improves. It is no longer far-fetched and can be genuinely funny. And if there are several exaggerated moves and techniques from before, this time they even added stances with supposedly amazing auras which are extremely exaggerated.

Of course, as it is a new chapter it is given that there’s an arrival of new characters. As always, the opponents are arrogant as ever. And if last time there is quite a few nasty opponents, this time some are even nastier and barbaric because they would even resort to hitting couches and elderly people. Well, when opponents are like that it feels even greater when they are amazingly defeated. There are also character developments for not only the main characters but for recurring characters as well. Characters are more expressive this time particularly the ones with poker faces like Tezuka. Some opponents are a lot stronger now as we see some of powerful characters gets beaten or really push to the limit.

I believe the most noticeable improvement is the animation. As always, this series loves exaggerated moves and very fictional techniques during matches. And if in the last season it was made so over the top, this time it improves quite a bit. It is a little bit cleaner now. It looks better and cooler. It’s not that far-fetched compared from the previous season. It might still be exaggerated but at least it is done a little better this time. The improvement of the character design is also very noticeable.

It is true that as always there are countless exaggerated elements in the series. You could even say that it is even more this time. But I guess that just how the series is. I myself may not like that part of the series but I believe it is quite effective for some. And I enjoyed it more compared to the previous one.

This series was one of the very first that I’ve seen when I was younger and one of the reason why I fell in love with animes.

There’s a very long review coming as it was one of the longest series…………….

    About the STORY
Because it is a story about a genius tennis player, the storyline becomes somehow predictable. They lose at the start then after that you know they will win amazingly. I guess the only thing unpredictable is how they will win amazingly as it is of course, done differently every game. The opponents are made ridiculously irritating to make the winnings of the main characters really great and so cool. That kind of storyline was really a hit before and sometimes even till now but seeing it for the first time now when that kind of storyline was so used so many times over the years, it really becomes quite cliché. One of the things that I like about sports series is that you can learn a lot about the sports that they’re featuring. That being said, most of the moves and techniques in the series are so fictional and can’t be used in real life. Players are burning with fires, players are flying and doing some exaggerated moves in mid-air, people are even disappearing, balls are going around poles, balls making a B sign, disappearing balls, and there are even cyclones created by players; these are only few of the countless magical-like moves during games. Some of the drama and lines can still be effective but some can really be cliché and cheesy.

    About the CHARACTERS
It is given that there is a long list of characters as it is one of the still on-going series out there. And so there’s enough time to explore particular character’s background. And are these kids really middle school students? That can be quite far-fetched if I may say so. It can be considered cliché but it really feels genuinely great when the protagonists are winning against the extremely irritating and cocky opponents. That is the very reason why that kind of storyline is still often used nowadays even if it’s been already used so many times. It is something to look forward to every single game. The opponents are completely different from one another. They play differently which make every game a lot more exciting but all of them are the same with one thing, every single one have their different version of cockiness, pride, and arrogance. And what’s with this series? I honestly think that 90% of the characters are extremely overconfident. I’ve never seen a series with characters with overflowing cockiness, arrogance, and overconfidence. Sometimes, it just feels too much. And they get nastier and a lot more arrogant as the series progresses. Well, as they get nastier, their defeat feels a lot greater that way. But I honestly like Atobe’s arrogance. It is very king-like which can really be cute and funny.

    About FUJI SYUSUKE
My favorite among the team is of course, Fuji. I just love enigmatic characters because they are so mysterious. Whenever he changes his attitude from being calm with closed eyes to being serious or mad with opened eyes, he can be really scary. And among all the characters who had been Ryouma’s opponent, Fuji is the best. Their game is one of the best in the series. Fuji can even make Ryouma lose his cool. Though he’s one of the geniuses in the series, it is quite ironic that his technique is also one of the most fictional. He also cares so much about the welfare of his friends and family, particularly his younger brother. He has this own way of avenging the people that he cares about which is very admiring.

    About ECHIZEN NANJIRO
Fuji might be my favorite among the team but my number one in the whole series is none other than Echizen Nanjiro. He’s the only one Ryouma’s arrogance won’t work and actually losses his cool. The father and son have a unique and sweet relationship. Nanjiro’s roundabout way of teaching his son about tennis and life is just so admiring and interesting. And let’s not forget that he’s the main source of comic relief in the series which make him a lot more interesting. I just wish he has a lot more air time.

    About ECHIZEN RYOMA
As Ryoma is already considered a genius at the start of the series which is quite different from the typical sports series protagonists who start off as very naïve and weak, there’s a different kind of character development for him. As the series progresses, he starts to realize he’s limits and work hard to overcome them. He’s a genius already and really arrogant about it so his character development is whenever he is beaten. Later on the series, despite still being as arrogant and show-off as ever, he becomes more mature. His arrogance becomes a lot more convincing and cooler compared at the beginning. Ryoma is so handsome and cute for his age. I guess, this is what the Japanese would call “Bishounen”. And to think that he’s only 12 years old despite already having a strong personality and attitude. But if you think about it, the most exciting way to beat an extremely arrogant and irritating opponent is for them to be defeated by an equally arrogant main character which really feels so good. After all, princes do have overconfident attitude.

    About the ANIMATION
As this is an old series, the animation is not that great compared to those of todays. But I think it was great enough during it’s time. At least, that’s what I remember when I first saw it before, when it was still airing.

After watching animes for so many years now and seeing it now with its original version, with all honesty, it’s no longer that amazing compared before when I first saw it. Without a doubt, there are really other sports series which have very fictional moves and techniques, I just find this series has exaggerated it a bit too much. It can be really over the top. And it is quite ironic that the most exaggerated match is also the most awaited one which is between Ryoma and Tezuka. For some, it can be really “KAKKOI” or cool but for some it can be a bit too much.

The story is still really simple. It doesn’t have a complicated storyline and there’s not even a plot. Though that is the case, it’s still not boring at all. In a way that is very admirable because I honestly think it is very hard to make a series interesting if the story is very simple. It is also a lot funnier. The gags and punch lines are a lot cleaner. There’s even a bit of drama as well and in fairness, it is nicely done.

Though the storyline is very simple, it becomes interesting because of the characters. Well, that’s exactly what’s making the series interesting in the first place. All the characters are stranger and weirder than ever. Each has their unique antics that make them interesting and it is even more heightened now. Of course, like any other sequels there are new characters and even some recurring characters are tackled more. The unique yet nice relationship of the characters are a more featured in this sequel. They seem to be a lot closer. Friendship and particularly love are a lot more tackled this time which is no doubt making the series way more interesting. Some characters who were so oblivious of the feelings of others for them, are finally realizing it this time around little by little. And you could say there are huge character developments as well. Sometimes, when there are so many things happening around them, are they still able to work? And let me just mention that it is quite funny that the girl with glasses is only having some exposure during the last episode. All in all, everyone is still so much fun.

It is no doubt that there are lots of improvements to it but the most evident is the animation. Characters look a lot cuter and the animation looks a lot cleaner. It looks more sophisticated. Well, not that the previous one was less nicely done. I also like the opening theme. It is very cute and fun.

This is definitely something. Just after watching first two episodes, I am already so hooked into it.

    There’s a very long review coming………

    About the STORY
Every element used in the story are no doubt made sophisticatedly which make the storylines so very interesting and so damn exciting. The plot is really something to look forward to and so every revelation is so anticipating. The drama is not overly done. And I believe it is very rare to see Shounen or action stories with a very well-made drama because most have very cliché dramatic moments or it is very tragic. I don’t think making the dramatic element over the top is necessary just to make viewers cry over it. The humor is genuinely funny as well. Because the storylines are so interesting and exciting, there are absolutely no dull moments in the series. You won’t get bored in any second of it. And I also love series that tackles stories about who’s right or wrong, the good or bad. That kind of storyline is always interesting because it is not merely about who’s right or wrong but there’s always a twist in it.

    About the CHARACTERS
Characters that have dark or evil sides are always a sure hit because it is definitely interesting to see them fight that side of them. Even more interesting because they are playing the fine line of being good and evil, much like Naruto and Ichigo. But this is quite different because it is the opposite. The protagonist does not only have an evil side but he is a demon himself. This is no longer a fight of who you are but a fight of what you are since the beginning of your life and that is really interesting in so many ways. Some characters are really entertaining and some are very mysterious but definitely all of them are interesting in their own way. Most of the characters are really mysterious but I think Mephisto is the most mysterious of all, even more than Rin himself. I just love characters that give you a hard time understanding them or predicting what they are really up to. You just can’t be sure if they are an ally or an enemy. One of the things that I love about this series is that it is not only about the main characters. Every character has their story focused so it becomes more and more interesting and exciting.

    About OKUMURA YUKIO
Of course let’s not forget to talk about the very gorgeous Yukio. He’s the responsible and mature one compared to his older brother. He looks so hot when he’s wearing his teacher’s uniform and even hotter when he’s fighting with his gun. The combination of glasses, coat, guns and some cold yet kind attitude are just making him even more irresistible. And the fact that he’s the one who takes care of his brother despite the fact that he’s the younger one, makes him so admirable. Plus, the voice of Jun Fukuyama, one of the most talented seiyu ever, is absolutely perfect for his character. Jun is so amazing when it comes to characters with authority roles and of course the smart ones as well. Yes, much like Lellouch.

    About OKUMURA RIN
Rin’s character might be typical for a protagonist in a Shounen type of series but he’s definitely interesting in so many ways. And of course, the most interesting about him is the fact that he is the son of Satan. I also love his very hot-blooded yet still kind-hearted personality. He’s also very positive considering that almost everyone is afraid and even trying to kill him. Plus, he’s so cute with his demon characteristics like his fangs, ears, and tail. He’s definitely one of the cutest demons I’ve ever seen. And he can be so funny as well. Despite of what he is, Rin has a genuine kind heart. That would be because of how he was raised. This really shows that it is not about what you are but what you have become. As cliché as it may seem but it really doesn’t matter if ones true self keeps on crawling out because if one is raise with genuine love and warmth, he’ll be just fine. That’s the very reason why, even when Shiro Fujimoto is already gone he’s character is still very much significant to the growth of not only Rin but to all of those that loves him and carries his values.

    About OKUMURA TWINS
Another thing that I love about this series is that it is also a story about brotherly bond and love which I really love particularly if it’s quite different from the typical ones. Both are very different and complement one another. The older brother is the hot-blooded, immature, nasty, and simple-minded one while the younger is the calm, mature, sophisticated, and smart one. They argue a lot but it only shows how much they really care for each other. But one thing for sure, both are extremely so cool when they are fighting. Imagine a combination of a swordsman and a gunman. What’s cooler than that? Their relationship is different yet so cute and admiring. And my goodness, these twins are the most gorgeous looking twins I’ve ever seen. I think the biggest difference between the two would be that though Yukio is the smart one, he’s judgment is easily clouded as so he’s easily manipulated compared to Rin who has a strong resolve that’s why he doesn’t let what others think of him affect him nor tell him what to do or to believe.

    About the ANIMATION
I’ve been itching to say it so let me just first mention that the characters are one of the most gorgeous looking characters I’ve ever seen in my countless encounter with hundreds of different animes. And the most gorgeous, hottest, and coolest are the Okumura Twins. I can’t even tell who’s more gorgeous with the two because both equally have their own hotness into them. I am already snapping tons of pictures just after watching the first 5 episodes of it. The animation is just beyond amazing. This is one of the very few series that has a genuine elevated animation much like High School of the Dead. With its very amazing fight scenes, I even think that it will not only compete on par with some of the famous animes of today but can even win over them. This is the reason why I am so damn grateful to see these latest series. I am just so glad that I am living at an age when animations are these amazing. And to think it will only get better and better as the years go by. And let’s not forget the superb uniforms that give more coolness and gorgeousness to the characters. And as if that’s not enough, this series has a major gathering of the most talented seiyus of all time which is extremely rare. By the way, the idea of blue flames instead of red flames is so unique and makes the series a lot cooler.

I genuinely get it why this series is so damn famous. And I totally understand why everybody is saying the same thing; WHY THE HELL THERE’S ONLY 25 FREAKING EPISODES? I am having a hard time understanding why there are not so great animes that are still ongoing but amazing animes like this one ends so quickly. Come on! At least make it 50 or 100 episodes or better yet continue adapting it into animation until the end like those famous anime of today. It is so complete; heart-warming drama, a little bit of romance, comedy, nice dialogues, amazing storyline and plot, interesting and likeable characters, gorgeous-looking and fashionable characters, talented seiyus, great sounds, one of the best animation of today, and of course, tons of heart-pounding fight scenes and actions.

What would you do if you are given a chance to start all over again? And what will happen if the new life you are given is not the most ideal of all?

It is quite different because I always thought reincarnation would be something like being born again as in a baby and a new person who still hasn’t created a life of its own. Not like a replacement to another person who already has a life of its own. Well, because of that kind of storyline, it becomes really interesting. Because the truth is not that clear at the beginning, finding out the truth throughout the film becomes really interesting and anticipating. I just love how the drama is made. It is not overly done just for the sake of making someone cry but rather it is really touching and moving. It can be really authentic considering this is about life. But most importantly, I love the moral lesson of it. Well, because it is a story about life, there are definitely lectures and lessons in life that we can really relate to.

The truth about Makoto’s life and what transpire when he committed suicide is already interesting, but the truth behind the life or what sin the one being reincarnated had is even more interesting. The revelations about both of them at the end are really worth the wait.

The animation is quite different as well. It feels real in major parts of it and the characters are put in it. Well, I don’t know much when it comes to animation, CG’s, 2D’s, and 3D’s. I may not know technical things when it comes to animation but I can still tell that it is made well and can be considered a breath of fresh air from the typical ones.

Stories about fantasies, supernatural and science-fiction are all nice and no doubt very interesting but there’s nothing more interesting than stories about life most especially if it’s made well. After encountering one, you will surely have some reflections. This is a story about life, forgiveness, chances, redemption, family, friends and most importantly, it is a story of being able to LIVE LIFE no matter how hard it is.

OH MY GOD! THIS IS RIDICULOUSY AMAZING!

So the story is about chasing one of THE most important symbol of the series; THE STRAWHAT. It is the name of Luffy’s group and important part of their pirate symbol. But the most significant of all it is the most important thing for our beloved Luffy. And if you know or really following this series, you know that doing simple things like chasing a hat would be one disastrous yet adventurous situation for the Strawhats.

Never in my many years of following One Piece would I imagine seeing it in 3D. This is beyond amazing. Not that I don’t like the least the animation of the anime adaptation but this is really something.

After watching it, I was literally speechless. I was so blown away. It was a freaking 30 minutes long film but it felt like watching a 2 hours movie. This is what I am talking about. Just a freaking 30 minutes is all this series need to wow any kind of viewers. For 30 minutes long, it is so packed already with heart-pounding actions and exciting moments. This really proves that One Piece is in a whole different level from any other series. I might sound so damn enthusiastic about this whole thing but if you’re a genuine One Piece fanatic, this is just so brilliant.

My only disappointment is; WHY THE HELL IS IT ONLY 30 MINUTES LONG?

So the hunting continues or should I say, it begins all over again. It’s almost a decade since the last time I saw this series and that’s not even in original Japanese version. I was able to follow the series by watching it in the television in our country dubbed with our language. And this is one of the most famous series during those times until now alongside One Piece and Detective Conan.

    There’s a very long review coming…………..

    About the STORY
With all honesty, I can still remember how amazing this series was for me during it’s time and even after so many years had passed I still considered it one of the best. I am definitely so thrilled to find out that it will continue to be adapted into anime but to my surprise, instead of a continuation from the ovas it will start all over again. However, as they said that the purpose of it is to adapt it more accurately and for someone who don’t follow the manga version, this adaptation could still be really exciting and somehow unpredictable. This series is one of the best when it comes to action-adventure story. And nowadays, it is very rare to find series that is able to make genuinely amazing storylines and plots using that kind of genre. A kind of story that even after so many years you can still remember it like you just seen it last year. Action-adventure series are always a sure hit because that kind of genre is always packed with excitement and heart-pounding fights. It is no doubt that one of the best when it comes with this kind of genre is HunterxHunter. I noticed that the storyline of it runs a little bit faster compared to the first series which is great because that means we would be getting to the much more interesting part of the series a lot sooner. I am just so amaze with series like this one that is almost complete with drama, psychological, mystery, a little bit of comedy and lots and lots of action and adventure.

    About the CHARACTERS
As one of the longest running series alongside One Piece and Detective Conan, there are a very huge range of characters which is one of the greatest things with long running series. There are countless of very interesting characters; from protagonists to recurring characters to villains. It’s been years since the last time I saw this series and I am not really following the manga so I can’t remember clearly the characters. I vaguely remember some but not in detail. One of the characters that I can remember clearly is Hisoka. He’s the type of antagonist who’s not only irritating but will surely amaze you. It is very rare to encounter villains that are devilish yet still very likeable. He’s nasty, strong, creepy, so damn interesting and a bundle of mysteriousness. I just love characters that are unpredictable and can be really hard to comprehend most of the times.

    About the PROTAGONISTS
Though, I vaguely remember some of the characters, I can at least remember clearly the main characters. As it is a trending in action-adventure stories to have a group of people traveling together as protagonists, this series is no exception as it is very effective and a sure hit. One of my favorite things in the series is the relationship of Gon and Killua. They have a very strange bond like no other. Because Gon is strange and his not scared of Killua’s background, Killua immediately got attracted to Gon and consider his friendship to him very important. It is funny that both can be ridiculously strong despite their age and how they looked. Well, at the end of the day they are still kids playing most of the time.

    About LEORIO PALADIKNIGHT
Most probably, he’s the stupidest and weakest among the group but he has his own unique abilities that can still make him stronger than anyone else. And because he’s not that smart, he’s easily fooled by most of the characters. However, I still think that his character is very important because he brings the lighter side of the story by being the comic relief among the group.

    About KURAPIKA
To be honest, with first look Kurapika is really not memorable compare to the other three. Well, of course except for the outfit that makes him looks like a guard or something. At first, I even thought that he’s gay. However, his personality completely changes when it is about Genei Ryodan. It’s like his completely different person. Clearly, he’s not the strongest among the group but because he is so damn smart and strategic, his abilities can really rival with some of the strongest characters like Killua and Hisoka.

    About GON FREECSS
I just love protagonists like Gon. His character is one of the rarest among all the protagonists in the manga and anime world. He’s very strange in a way that makes him extremely interesting. His strangeness is the reason why even villains or the scariest of all, Killua, is attracted to him. And boy! Talk about strangeness, he has the weirdest and most unique weapon of all time, a freaking FISHING POLE. Characters like him usually are very strong but because they don’t look like one, they become more amazing that way. They usually become strong because they rely on instincts. But what I love the most about them is they are extremely simple-minded. They are not complicated characters. Well, the characters that are usually memorable and admirable are those who are either extremely simple or beyond understanding. Though, Gon is ridiculously great with observations, he can still very oblivious to few things.

    About KILLUA ZOLDYCK
Just like how much I love characters that are simple and so easy to understand, I equally love characters that are beyond comprehension like Killua. Characters that are in the fine line of being good and evil are one of my greatest fascinations. It’s hard to understand them because you just don’t know what they are going to do next. They can be very unpredictable which makes them extremely exciting and interesting. And even that is the case, there is still one thing for sure; what they do is usually scary and exciting. And that is the very reason why Killua’s character is famous not only in this series but in history of manga and anime world. Well, Killua is my favorite in this series.

    About the ANIMATION
It’s been almost a decade since the last anime adaptation of this series so it is given that there would be differences from then to now. It may not be that obvious but it is quite different in many ways. And the most anticipating from it is the fights scenes. It is an action-adventure after all so it very important to have an amazing fights scenes. It is already amazing before and now it is elevated. It has a latest feeling to it. The most noticeable change is the character designs. When I first saw Killua and Gon in this adaptation, my first reaction was “KAWAII”. They are so damn cute and with that said it is already different from before. Characters from before looked a lot sharper and striking particularly Killua and Hisoka. Killua looked a lot cooler and scarier before but now, he’s so adorable I just want to cuddle him. Hisoka, though he looked creepy before, he’s still so damn gorgeous and hot most especially when his hair is down. Now, he’s looks are nastier, devilish and that’s it. Though, Gon is a lot cuter here. Well, not that I don’t like the designs now. I just prefer how they looked from before.

This absolutely brings back so much amazing memories. Both adaptation have strong and weak points which is definitely great because that’s the whole point of starting it from the beginning again. It is to adapt it more accurately so there should be a difference. It is a little bit disappointing that it didn’t continue but this is definitely still a chance to see the series in a different way.

The devil plan of invasion continues……. Yeah right! It hasn’t even started yet. Well, if she’s not too distracted with all her much curiosities to almost everything. Still, like Chizuru said that in many ways Ika-chan already invaded their lives. With this sequel, there are more funny and cute moments. It gets more interesting as it gets more dramatic and there’s more touching moments. The jokes and gags are a lot cleaner and nicely done now. The storylines are a lot more sophisticated and interesting now. Well, not that season one was not interesting enough.

The characters are as weird, funny and unique as ever. Though, I absolutely think Sanae’s “hentai” – ness is tripled. After Ika-chan, she’s mostly the source of gags and funny moments with all her perverseness. But of course let’s not forget our extremely cute and irresistible protagonist, Ika Musume-chan. She started off as a weird and annoying stranger but now people that loves and adores her keeps piling up. I think she’s a lot closer with her new found family and friends in the land. They are close enough to have serious bickering and fights. She’s more affectionate and sensitive now. She’s experimental as ever with her naivety to almost everything which is the main source of her cuteness. It is just funny that she’s already used to being in the land and rarely seen in the sea that you end up wondering if she’s really from the sea. I also love that there is more airtime for the extremely cute mini version Ika-chan. Though, I am just a little bit disappointed that there’s not even a single new character as sequels always have to make it somehow really looked like a sequel. Well, not that it affects the quality of this nice series. I am just expecting another addition to these fun and cute characters. And again, the mysterious character appears once again at the end of the series when they are having dramatic moments again. I just wish they would give even a small hint as to who she is or what she is.

Well, it’s not that long since the last season so there is not much difference. However, I honestly think that though it is not obviously visible, there are still improvements to it. I even think that if in season one Ika-chan is the only cute one and the rest are just nicely done but this time I think most of them are a lot cuter. They can be as adorable as Ika-chan is. And boy did I miss those irresistible blue tentacles!

There is no question that almost all the elements of it really improved. It definitely feels like a sequel. I am absolutely looking forward to more squidy adventure from this fun and nice series.

Well, basically the story is about a very cute squid girl who wants to invade earth and punish humanity for polluting the sea. And that’s it! There is no specific or complicated plot whatsoever. It is just about the everyday life of the protagonist and other characters. It can be so funny and touching as well. Every now and then it’s good to rest from complicated storylines and plots. It is also nice to see some light stories sometimes.

Everyone has their own fair share of uniqueness or weirdness. And the weirdest of all is Sanae with her very creepy yet hilarious obsession with Ika-chan. Most of the characters are adorable and interesting. But of course, the most adorable and interesting of all is Ika Musume. Everything about Ika-chan is just so damn adorable and cute; from appearance to personality to the way she talks and to her unusual antics. Her naivety to almost everything is making her even cuter. Because of her naivety, she’s easily fooled or people make fun of her which is no doubt giving her more cuteness. Let’s not forget her unique abilities and weird antics which are just so adorable. With her suppose devil plan, she’s sure is very simple-minded and can be air-headed sometimes. She’s also so easy to satisfy. And the mini version is even cuter.

The animation and artworks is unique on its own way. The characters’ design is what making all the difference. But of course, the most nicely done is Ika Musume herself. She’s one of the cutest and most adorable characters I’ve ever seen. Her dress, shoes, and very squid-like head are making it a complete package. And my goodness! Her tentacles are just irresistible. Her “geso” at every end of her sentences just completes the whole cuteness of Ika-chan.

It may not be the most exciting and amazing series out there. It doesn’t even have a spectacular yet complicated plot that others have. However, it is definitely not boring and there is absolutely no dull moments. It is fun, nice, and heart-warming series.

Let me just say that I wasn’t interested in this series in the first place because I am not very fond of stories about gambling. However, after watching the live-action film I am so interested that I decided to watch this series right away.

    There’s a long review coming…………..

    About the STORY
Fantasy, mystery, and magical stories are all nice and interesting but nothing more can be interesting and inspiring than a story about life and the harsh reality that comes with it. Stories about the harsh reality of the world and how hard to literally live day by day can be really gloomy and painful for many. And if you are someone who likes watching animes or reading mangas because you want to be entertained and forget reality even for a minute then you would probably pass this one. However, the amazing thing with this kind of stories is that they are very inspirational and would always make someone think or reflect about life. That would be because more than the part where the harsh reality is showcased, there is also the part where one can survive despite all odds. It is also a story about how magnificently a loser can grow within a fight. How one can still stand up even after losing so many times. How one don’t let his failures depress him for so long but rather learn from them. How one can still believe even after being betrayed countless times. THAT! IS NO DOUBT VERY ENCOURAGING AND INSPIRING. Plus, the drama that comes with it can be so authentic which would always shake some sense to any kind of viewer. Damn right! This is a story about gambling and what’s at stakes? YOU’RE LIFE! The games are made extremely simple but because it is life that is at stake it becomes extremely exciting and heart-pounding. My only concern is that the storyline can really be a bit complicated and run in a slow pace. And boy there are lots and lots of talks; monologues and narrations.

    About the CHARACTERS
For most of the characters, more particularly Kaiji, their psychological stability is challenged in the most horrible and craziest ways. We get to see if they will be able to maintain their sanity with all the tortures they have to face. It is one of the most anticipating parts of the series. But of course, the most exciting and anticipating is Kaiji’s part. Whether he will succumb to insanity or not is something to look forward to. With a survival plot that this series has, it usually shows the horrible side of human beings. Since ancient times, human beings had done so many things in order to survive. It is a side that makes us similar to animals. But more importantly, it also shows the admirable side of human beings that makes us the highest creatures ever made. Creatures that have intellect, logic, will, conscience, and more importantly the ability to choose how we are going to live. Despite everything else, I honestly think that what the perpetrators of the games are saying about the debtors can be unfortunately true. It really hits the mark. BUT! That doesn’t justify what they are doing. Let’s not forget that there are countless of small creatures in the world that are still able to survive the world despite their sizes which I believe one of the moral lessons you will learn from this series. Plus, despite saying those very honest lectures about the debtors, they would cheat during a fight. AH! There’s nothing I hate the most than hypocrites. The antagonists are beyond irritating. They are so damn evil. Nowadays, some antagonists are still made pitiable as well to make their actions justifiable somehow which I kind of hate but here, they are plain evil. The chairman is the creepiest and most irritating of all but surprisingly enough, he can be really funny to me.

    About KAIJI
Another exciting and interesting about this kind of stories is that it is also about a person who will amazingly prove to those people who play with people’s lives just for pleasure that it is a horrible decision to make fun with a trash who has nothing to lose. I just love stories about underdogs like Kaiji. Most of the characters are extremely irritating so whenever Kaiji prove them wrong, it also feels extremely good and exciting. Particularly the fight between Kaiji and Tonegawa. Kaiji’s character development really makes him an ultimate survivor thus the title of this wonderful series. Kaiji is no doubt really admirable but later in the series; he becomes so full of himself perhaps because of his continuous winnings. It just so irritating that he still dared to gamble again despite what he’s been through. I don’t know. Maybe he’s a masochist or something.

    About the ANIMATIONS and SOUNDS
The animation can be quite different but it is still made amazingly. The characters’ design is the most different but don’t be deceive by how they looked. It is true that the illustrations looked like it was made straight from the manga but like they said that don’t judge a book by its cover. Well, like I did because the looks of the characters made me somehow doubt the quality of the series. Thank God I watched the live-action film because I would’ve miss an amazing series. The sounds made every important scene such an intense and exciting moment. Plus, I believe the seiyu made the characters a lot more authentic, specifically Kaiji’s. Wonderful job Seiyus!

It is no question that it’s been a while since I’ve watched something like this one that would make you really think about life. However, I honestly think that it is still enough to be compared to the amazing series such Death Note and Monster which are beyond amazing.

Life is indeed a gamble. This series is about temptations, failures, chances, risks, insanities, and gambles; things that human beings knows very well. But more importantly it is about LIFE. You will learn or even think a lot about life with all its amazing teachings, wisdoms and lessons. And surprisingly enough, most of them came from the extremely irritating antagonists.

After Blood+ comes another series from the successful Blood Franchise.

    There’s a long review coming………..

    About the STORY
Blood+ is one of my favorites and belonged to my top lists of best anime ever so I am so excited to see another story from the famous franchise. The amazing thing about Blood Franchise is the stories are always packed with almost all elements needed for an amazing and very interesting story. There is supernatural, drama, a little bit of romance, psychological, mystery, suspense-thriller, and tons of actions. Plus, it is about a female in action. I just love stories about female in actions, particularly girls with katana or a sword for that matter which I really love. And because it is supernatural it is very mysterious. The mysteries keep on piling up with every episode which make the story absolutely exciting and interesting. And because of that, the revelations at the end is very anticipating and worth the wait. There is a lot difference from Blood+; from the story to characters to the animation. The story is more mysterious, dramatic, psychological, and a lot more gruesome or there’s more blood. Well, the title is blood so it is given that every new adaptation would have more blood than the usual. However, because of its mysteriousness the storyline can be really confusing. Well, the story is made by CLAMP which is known for their very confusing yet so damn interesting storyline and plot. Their work can be really confusing but in an amazing and brilliant way.

    About the CHARACTERS
Aside from the main character, literally all the characters are very much mysterious and so interesting. There’s even an important character that you wouldn’t understand if you are not a CLAMP works follower or if you don’t know the series which the character is from. As always, that character crosses over in this series as it is a very well-known trademark of CLAMP. Characters that crosses over to many different series is one of the most amazing and brilliant work of CLAMP. With all the confusion with the story, his character somehow can be considered as an assurance about the revelations later. In the previous Blood franchise, all the monsters looked almost alike but this time it varies with so many kinds.

    About SAYA
Compared to the previous protagonists, Saya is cheerful and naïve to what really is happening around her. More than being so mysterious, she’s the most confusing of all because even after people die she can just have a nice coffee or sing a song or say good morning the next day. It is pitying and pretty irritating that bodies are keep piling up around her and let it happen even while watching. It is not very heroic at all considering she keeps on mumbling that she promised that she would protect everyone. She would make some cool moves right after everyone is dead which is extremely useless. AND SO I THOUGHT………………. It turned out that she’s the most pitying of all. There’s nothing more horrifying than finding out that everything you knew was just one hell of a lie. And what’s even worse, she is just being played by literally all the people she thought she knew.

    About the ANIMATION
The animation is the best so far among all the Blood Franchise. It is very latest and you really can feel that it is very now. The fight scenes are just heart-pounding and so amazing. That’s one of many reasons why I love Blood Franchise. For someone who has been following CLAMP works for so many years, somehow I practically guessed that the characters are designed by them even before knowing it. You can definitely feel that it is their work. And the characters are probably one of the most gorgeous characters I’ve ever seen.

Let me just say that waiting for another work from the franchise is so damn worth the wait. Blood Franchise never ceases to amaze me. It can be really confusing for almost all parts of the whole series but let me tell you that the revelations at the end is just so worth it. This is one of the amazing things about CLAMP’s stories; they will give you so much mixed emotions with their work and later will amaze you with its true plot. With the combination of the two most successful in the world of anime and manga, Blood Franchise and CLAMP definitely brought us an elevated anime experience. With a very irritating ending because of the villains getting away, the movie is genuinely anticipating.

I just love stories about underdogs who will try their very best to stand up to sick and greedy people who take pleasure on playing with people’s lives. These kinds of story are always nerve-racking and would boil some sense on you. The drama is always so authentic because it is very realistic in many ways. It is always about social behaviors, profanities and let’s not forget, the amazing psychological part of it which I genuinely love. The game is so simple and not hard to comprehend but because what at stake is so big, the story becomes so interesting. Plus, Tatsuya Fujiwara is just so amazing with this kind of genre, much like Death Note.

I’ve already heard about Kaiji’s anime and manga but because I am not fond of gambling and to be honest the look of the characters are not that appealing so I end up ignoring it. (BAD JUGDMENT) But because of this, I am definitely going to watch the anime version.

After waiting two seemingly years, after the successful Ponyo the much awaited next film of Studio Ghibli is finally here.

Ghibli had brought us to a castle in the sky, a warrior princess in the mountains, a world of the supernatural, moving castle, underwater world, and now they will bring us to the world of small people. As always Ghibli brings us to another unique adventure in a fictional world of small burrowers. They always know how to make a very heart-warming, exciting, and adventurous story. Another amazing unique idea by Ghibli which is actually they’re trademark that’s why people are always anticipating their next work. Their works are always complete with drama, comedy, mystery, supernatural and there’s always a hint of romance. It is always touching and very innocent. And the adventure that’s come with it is always exciting and interesting. It always enchanting and magical.

As always the main characters are either the other one is from the supernatural world and the other is a human being which is always interesting because interaction or a story between human being and a fictional being has always and will always be interesting and sure hit. The characters this time is about burrowers or small people who struggles to live in world for people who are much bigger from them. The adventure that comes with it is always interesting and exciting.

I am just so amazed by the animation. The details of how the world would look like for small people are just so amazing. The illustrations of it are very detailed and you can see that it is done meticulously. Hard work is very evident. Just seeing the characters would make you think that it is a Ghibli’s work. They have their own trademark characters’ look that would make you think that it is theirs. And as always the music is so wonderful. Somehow it genuinely feels like watching a Ghibli Film. They always have heart-warming and best sounds.

Ghibli never ceases to amaze me with their every work that’s why I always anticipate their next project. Whether the stories are from them or not, they always know how to make such brilliant film. I am always wondering what they would make next. Their works are always worth the wait.
