I will give my review here as a whole for my review to the national tournament arc

So the most arrogant and show-off sports protagonist returns together with his teammates to play in the most awaited tournament that they’ve been waiting for; the national tournament. The drama is even more far-fetched and can be extremely over-the-top; players are on the verge of dying just by PLAYING tennis, losing memories before an important game, bloods are spilling everywhere. I mean come on! I almost forgot that I am still watching a tennis story particularly, the finals arc. I completely understand that it’s going for a more dramatic, theatrical and cooler approach as it is after all the ENDING. However, there’s also the concept of TOO MUCH and being incredibly over done. Somewhere along the way, it becomes absolutely far-fetched. I notice that the comedy part really improves. It is no longer far-fetched and can be genuinely funny. And if there are several exaggerated moves and techniques from before, this time they even added stances with supposedly amazing auras which are extremely exaggerated.

Of course, as it is a new chapter it is given that there’s an arrival of new characters. As always, the opponents are arrogant as ever. And if last time there is quite a few nasty opponents, this time some are even nastier and barbaric because they would even resort to hitting couches and elderly people. Well, when opponents are like that it feels even greater when they are amazingly defeated. There are also character developments for not only the main characters but for recurring characters as well. Characters are more expressive this time particularly the ones with poker faces like Tezuka. Some opponents are a lot stronger now as we see some of powerful characters gets beaten or really push to the limit.

I believe the most noticeable improvement is the animation. As always, this series loves exaggerated moves and very fictional techniques during matches. And if in the last season it was made so over the top, this time it improves quite a bit. It is a little bit cleaner now. It looks better and cooler. It’s not that far-fetched compared from the previous season. It might still be exaggerated but at least it is done a little better this time. The improvement of the character design is also very noticeable.

It is true that as always there are countless exaggerated elements in the series. You could even say that it is even more this time. But I guess that just how the series is. I myself may not like that part of the series but I believe it is quite effective for some. And I enjoyed it more compared to the previous one.

This series was one of the very first that I’ve seen when I was younger and one of the reason why I fell in love with animes.

There’s a very long review coming as it was one of the longest series…………….

    About the STORY
Because it is a story about a genius tennis player, the storyline becomes somehow predictable. They lose at the start then after that you know they will win amazingly. I guess the only thing unpredictable is how they will win amazingly as it is of course, done differently every game. The opponents are made ridiculously irritating to make the winnings of the main characters really great and so cool. That kind of storyline was really a hit before and sometimes even till now but seeing it for the first time now when that kind of storyline was so used so many times over the years, it really becomes quite cliché. One of the things that I like about sports series is that you can learn a lot about the sports that they’re featuring. That being said, most of the moves and techniques in the series are so fictional and can’t be used in real life. Players are burning with fires, players are flying and doing some exaggerated moves in mid-air, people are even disappearing, balls are going around poles, balls making a B sign, disappearing balls, and there are even cyclones created by players; these are only few of the countless magical-like moves during games. Some of the drama and lines can still be effective but some can really be cliché and cheesy.

    About the CHARACTERS
It is given that there is a long list of characters as it is one of the still on-going series out there. And so there’s enough time to explore particular character’s background. And are these kids really middle school students? That can be quite far-fetched if I may say so. It can be considered cliché but it really feels genuinely great when the protagonists are winning against the extremely irritating and cocky opponents. That is the very reason why that kind of storyline is still often used nowadays even if it’s been already used so many times. It is something to look forward to every single game. The opponents are completely different from one another. They play differently which make every game a lot more exciting but all of them are the same with one thing, every single one have their different version of cockiness, pride, and arrogance. And what’s with this series? I honestly think that 90% of the characters are extremely overconfident. I’ve never seen a series with characters with overflowing cockiness, arrogance, and overconfidence. Sometimes, it just feels too much. And they get nastier and a lot more arrogant as the series progresses. Well, as they get nastier, their defeat feels a lot greater that way. But I honestly like Atobe’s arrogance. It is very king-like which can really be cute and funny.

    About FUJI SYUSUKE
My favorite among the team is of course, Fuji. I just love enigmatic characters because they are so mysterious. Whenever he changes his attitude from being calm with closed eyes to being serious or mad with opened eyes, he can be really scary. And among all the characters who had been Ryouma’s opponent, Fuji is the best. Their game is one of the best in the series. Fuji can even make Ryouma lose his cool. Though he’s one of the geniuses in the series, it is quite ironic that his technique is also one of the most fictional. He also cares so much about the welfare of his friends and family, particularly his younger brother. He has this own way of avenging the people that he cares about which is very admiring.

    About ECHIZEN NANJIRO
Fuji might be my favorite among the team but my number one in the whole series is none other than Echizen Nanjiro. He’s the only one Ryouma’s arrogance won’t work and actually losses his cool. The father and son have a unique and sweet relationship. Nanjiro’s roundabout way of teaching his son about tennis and life is just so admiring and interesting. And let’s not forget that he’s the main source of comic relief in the series which make him a lot more interesting. I just wish he has a lot more air time.

    About ECHIZEN RYOMA
As Ryoma is already considered a genius at the start of the series which is quite different from the typical sports series protagonists who start off as very naïve and weak, there’s a different kind of character development for him. As the series progresses, he starts to realize he’s limits and work hard to overcome them. He’s a genius already and really arrogant about it so his character development is whenever he is beaten. Later on the series, despite still being as arrogant and show-off as ever, he becomes more mature. His arrogance becomes a lot more convincing and cooler compared at the beginning. Ryoma is so handsome and cute for his age. I guess, this is what the Japanese would call “Bishounen”. And to think that he’s only 12 years old despite already having a strong personality and attitude. But if you think about it, the most exciting way to beat an extremely arrogant and irritating opponent is for them to be defeated by an equally arrogant main character which really feels so good. After all, princes do have overconfident attitude.

    About the ANIMATION
As this is an old series, the animation is not that great compared to those of todays. But I think it was great enough during it’s time. At least, that’s what I remember when I first saw it before, when it was still airing.

After watching animes for so many years now and seeing it now with its original version, with all honesty, it’s no longer that amazing compared before when I first saw it. Without a doubt, there are really other sports series which have very fictional moves and techniques, I just find this series has exaggerated it a bit too much. It can be really over the top. And it is quite ironic that the most exaggerated match is also the most awaited one which is between Ryoma and Tezuka. For some, it can be really “KAKKOI” or cool but for some it can be a bit too much.

The story is still really simple. It doesn’t have a complicated storyline and there’s not even a plot. Though that is the case, it’s still not boring at all. In a way that is very admirable because I honestly think it is very hard to make a series interesting if the story is very simple. It is also a lot funnier. The gags and punch lines are a lot cleaner. There’s even a bit of drama as well and in fairness, it is nicely done.

Though the storyline is very simple, it becomes interesting because of the characters. Well, that’s exactly what’s making the series interesting in the first place. All the characters are stranger and weirder than ever. Each has their unique antics that make them interesting and it is even more heightened now. Of course, like any other sequels there are new characters and even some recurring characters are tackled more. The unique yet nice relationship of the characters are a more featured in this sequel. They seem to be a lot closer. Friendship and particularly love are a lot more tackled this time which is no doubt making the series way more interesting. Some characters who were so oblivious of the feelings of others for them, are finally realizing it this time around little by little. And you could say there are huge character developments as well. Sometimes, when there are so many things happening around them, are they still able to work? And let me just mention that it is quite funny that the girl with glasses is only having some exposure during the last episode. All in all, everyone is still so much fun.

It is no doubt that there are lots of improvements to it but the most evident is the animation. Characters look a lot cuter and the animation looks a lot cleaner. It looks more sophisticated. Well, not that the previous one was less nicely done. I also like the opening theme. It is very cute and fun.

This is definitely something. Just after watching first two episodes, I am already so hooked into it.

    There’s a very long review coming………

    About the STORY
Every element used in the story are no doubt made sophisticatedly which make the storylines so very interesting and so damn exciting. The plot is really something to look forward to and so every revelation is so anticipating. The drama is not overly done. And I believe it is very rare to see Shounen or action stories with a very well-made drama because most have very cliché dramatic moments or it is very tragic. I don’t think making the dramatic element over the top is necessary just to make viewers cry over it. The humor is genuinely funny as well. Because the storylines are so interesting and exciting, there are absolutely no dull moments in the series. You won’t get bored in any second of it. And I also love series that tackles stories about who’s right or wrong, the good or bad. That kind of storyline is always interesting because it is not merely about who’s right or wrong but there’s always a twist in it.

    About the CHARACTERS
Characters that have dark or evil sides are always a sure hit because it is definitely interesting to see them fight that side of them. Even more interesting because they are playing the fine line of being good and evil, much like Naruto and Ichigo. But this is quite different because it is the opposite. The protagonist does not only have an evil side but he is a demon himself. This is no longer a fight of who you are but a fight of what you are since the beginning of your life and that is really interesting in so many ways. Some characters are really entertaining and some are very mysterious but definitely all of them are interesting in their own way. Most of the characters are really mysterious but I think Mephisto is the most mysterious of all, even more than Rin himself. I just love characters that give you a hard time understanding them or predicting what they are really up to. You just can’t be sure if they are an ally or an enemy. One of the things that I love about this series is that it is not only about the main characters. Every character has their story focused so it becomes more and more interesting and exciting.

    About OKUMURA YUKIO
Of course let’s not forget to talk about the very gorgeous Yukio. He’s the responsible and mature one compared to his older brother. He looks so hot when he’s wearing his teacher’s uniform and even hotter when he’s fighting with his gun. The combination of glasses, coat, guns and some cold yet kind attitude are just making him even more irresistible. And the fact that he’s the one who takes care of his brother despite the fact that he’s the younger one, makes him so admirable. Plus, the voice of Jun Fukuyama, one of the most talented seiyu ever, is absolutely perfect for his character. Jun is so amazing when it comes to characters with authority roles and of course the smart ones as well. Yes, much like Lellouch.

    About OKUMURA RIN
Rin’s character might be typical for a protagonist in a Shounen type of series but he’s definitely interesting in so many ways. And of course, the most interesting about him is the fact that he is the son of Satan. I also love his very hot-blooded yet still kind-hearted personality. He’s also very positive considering that almost everyone is afraid and even trying to kill him. Plus, he’s so cute with his demon characteristics like his fangs, ears, and tail. He’s definitely one of the cutest demons I’ve ever seen. And he can be so funny as well. Despite of what he is, Rin has a genuine kind heart. That would be because of how he was raised. This really shows that it is not about what you are but what you have become. As cliché as it may seem but it really doesn’t matter if ones true self keeps on crawling out because if one is raise with genuine love and warmth, he’ll be just fine. That’s the very reason why, even when Shiro Fujimoto is already gone he’s character is still very much significant to the growth of not only Rin but to all of those that loves him and carries his values.

    About OKUMURA TWINS
Another thing that I love about this series is that it is also a story about brotherly bond and love which I really love particularly if it’s quite different from the typical ones. Both are very different and complement one another. The older brother is the hot-blooded, immature, nasty, and simple-minded one while the younger is the calm, mature, sophisticated, and smart one. They argue a lot but it only shows how much they really care for each other. But one thing for sure, both are extremely so cool when they are fighting. Imagine a combination of a swordsman and a gunman. What’s cooler than that? Their relationship is different yet so cute and admiring. And my goodness, these twins are the most gorgeous looking twins I’ve ever seen. I think the biggest difference between the two would be that though Yukio is the smart one, he’s judgment is easily clouded as so he’s easily manipulated compared to Rin who has a strong resolve that’s why he doesn’t let what others think of him affect him nor tell him what to do or to believe.

    About the ANIMATION
I’ve been itching to say it so let me just first mention that the characters are one of the most gorgeous looking characters I’ve ever seen in my countless encounter with hundreds of different animes. And the most gorgeous, hottest, and coolest are the Okumura Twins. I can’t even tell who’s more gorgeous with the two because both equally have their own hotness into them. I am already snapping tons of pictures just after watching the first 5 episodes of it. The animation is just beyond amazing. This is one of the very few series that has a genuine elevated animation much like High School of the Dead. With its very amazing fight scenes, I even think that it will not only compete on par with some of the famous animes of today but can even win over them. This is the reason why I am so damn grateful to see these latest series. I am just so glad that I am living at an age when animations are these amazing. And to think it will only get better and better as the years go by. And let’s not forget the superb uniforms that give more coolness and gorgeousness to the characters. And as if that’s not enough, this series has a major gathering of the most talented seiyus of all time which is extremely rare. By the way, the idea of blue flames instead of red flames is so unique and makes the series a lot cooler.

I genuinely get it why this series is so damn famous. And I totally understand why everybody is saying the same thing; WHY THE HELL THERE’S ONLY 25 FREAKING EPISODES? I am having a hard time understanding why there are not so great animes that are still ongoing but amazing animes like this one ends so quickly. Come on! At least make it 50 or 100 episodes or better yet continue adapting it into animation until the end like those famous anime of today. It is so complete; heart-warming drama, a little bit of romance, comedy, nice dialogues, amazing storyline and plot, interesting and likeable characters, gorgeous-looking and fashionable characters, talented seiyus, great sounds, one of the best animation of today, and of course, tons of heart-pounding fight scenes and actions.

What would you do if you are given a chance to start all over again? And what will happen if the new life you are given is not the most ideal of all?

It is quite different because I always thought reincarnation would be something like being born again as in a baby and a new person who still hasn’t created a life of its own. Not like a replacement to another person who already has a life of its own. Well, because of that kind of storyline, it becomes really interesting. Because the truth is not that clear at the beginning, finding out the truth throughout the film becomes really interesting and anticipating. I just love how the drama is made. It is not overly done just for the sake of making someone cry but rather it is really touching and moving. It can be really authentic considering this is about life. But most importantly, I love the moral lesson of it. Well, because it is a story about life, there are definitely lectures and lessons in life that we can really relate to.

The truth about Makoto’s life and what transpire when he committed suicide is already interesting, but the truth behind the life or what sin the one being reincarnated had is even more interesting. The revelations about both of them at the end are really worth the wait.

The animation is quite different as well. It feels real in major parts of it and the characters are put in it. Well, I don’t know much when it comes to animation, CG’s, 2D’s, and 3D’s. I may not know technical things when it comes to animation but I can still tell that it is made well and can be considered a breath of fresh air from the typical ones.

Stories about fantasies, supernatural and science-fiction are all nice and no doubt very interesting but there’s nothing more interesting than stories about life most especially if it’s made well. After encountering one, you will surely have some reflections. This is a story about life, forgiveness, chances, redemption, family, friends and most importantly, it is a story of being able to LIVE LIFE no matter how hard it is.

OH MY GOD! THIS IS RIDICULOUSY AMAZING!

So the story is about chasing one of THE most important symbol of the series; THE STRAWHAT. It is the name of Luffy’s group and important part of their pirate symbol. But the most significant of all it is the most important thing for our beloved Luffy. And if you know or really following this series, you know that doing simple things like chasing a hat would be one disastrous yet adventurous situation for the Strawhats.

Never in my many years of following One Piece would I imagine seeing it in 3D. This is beyond amazing. Not that I don’t like the least the animation of the anime adaptation but this is really something.

After watching it, I was literally speechless. I was so blown away. It was a freaking 30 minutes long film but it felt like watching a 2 hours movie. This is what I am talking about. Just a freaking 30 minutes is all this series need to wow any kind of viewers. For 30 minutes long, it is so packed already with heart-pounding actions and exciting moments. This really proves that One Piece is in a whole different level from any other series. I might sound so damn enthusiastic about this whole thing but if you’re a genuine One Piece fanatic, this is just so brilliant.

My only disappointment is; WHY THE HELL IS IT ONLY 30 MINUTES LONG?

So the hunting continues or should I say, it begins all over again. It’s almost a decade since the last time I saw this series and that’s not even in original Japanese version. I was able to follow the series by watching it in the television in our country dubbed with our language. And this is one of the most famous series during those times until now alongside One Piece and Detective Conan.

    There’s a very long review coming…………..

    About the STORY
With all honesty, I can still remember how amazing this series was for me during it’s time and even after so many years had passed I still considered it one of the best. I am definitely so thrilled to find out that it will continue to be adapted into anime but to my surprise, instead of a continuation from the ovas it will start all over again. However, as they said that the purpose of it is to adapt it more accurately and for someone who don’t follow the manga version, this adaptation could still be really exciting and somehow unpredictable. This series is one of the best when it comes to action-adventure story. And nowadays, it is very rare to find series that is able to make genuinely amazing storylines and plots using that kind of genre. A kind of story that even after so many years you can still remember it like you just seen it last year. Action-adventure series are always a sure hit because that kind of genre is always packed with excitement and heart-pounding fights. It is no doubt that one of the best when it comes with this kind of genre is HunterxHunter. I noticed that the storyline of it runs a little bit faster compared to the first series which is great because that means we would be getting to the much more interesting part of the series a lot sooner. I am just so amaze with series like this one that is almost complete with drama, psychological, mystery, a little bit of comedy and lots and lots of action and adventure.

    About the CHARACTERS
As one of the longest running series alongside One Piece and Detective Conan, there are a very huge range of characters which is one of the greatest things with long running series. There are countless of very interesting characters; from protagonists to recurring characters to villains. It’s been years since the last time I saw this series and I am not really following the manga so I can’t remember clearly the characters. I vaguely remember some but not in detail. One of the characters that I can remember clearly is Hisoka. He’s the type of antagonist who’s not only irritating but will surely amaze you. It is very rare to encounter villains that are devilish yet still very likeable. He’s nasty, strong, creepy, so damn interesting and a bundle of mysteriousness. I just love characters that are unpredictable and can be really hard to comprehend most of the times.

    About the PROTAGONISTS
Though, I vaguely remember some of the characters, I can at least remember clearly the main characters. As it is a trending in action-adventure stories to have a group of people traveling together as protagonists, this series is no exception as it is very effective and a sure hit. One of my favorite things in the series is the relationship of Gon and Killua. They have a very strange bond like no other. Because Gon is strange and his not scared of Killua’s background, Killua immediately got attracted to Gon and consider his friendship to him very important. It is funny that both can be ridiculously strong despite their age and how they looked. Well, at the end of the day they are still kids playing most of the time.

    About LEORIO PALADIKNIGHT
Most probably, he’s the stupidest and weakest among the group but he has his own unique abilities that can still make him stronger than anyone else. And because he’s not that smart, he’s easily fooled by most of the characters. However, I still think that his character is very important because he brings the lighter side of the story by being the comic relief among the group.

    About KURAPIKA
To be honest, with first look Kurapika is really not memorable compare to the other three. Well, of course except for the outfit that makes him looks like a guard or something. At first, I even thought that he’s gay. However, his personality completely changes when it is about Genei Ryodan. It’s like his completely different person. Clearly, he’s not the strongest among the group but because he is so damn smart and strategic, his abilities can really rival with some of the strongest characters like Killua and Hisoka.

    About GON FREECSS
I just love protagonists like Gon. His character is one of the rarest among all the protagonists in the manga and anime world. He’s very strange in a way that makes him extremely interesting. His strangeness is the reason why even villains or the scariest of all, Killua, is attracted to him. And boy! Talk about strangeness, he has the weirdest and most unique weapon of all time, a freaking FISHING POLE. Characters like him usually are very strong but because they don’t look like one, they become more amazing that way. They usually become strong because they rely on instincts. But what I love the most about them is they are extremely simple-minded. They are not complicated characters. Well, the characters that are usually memorable and admirable are those who are either extremely simple or beyond understanding. Though, Gon is ridiculously great with observations, he can still very oblivious to few things.

    About KILLUA ZOLDYCK
Just like how much I love characters that are simple and so easy to understand, I equally love characters that are beyond comprehension like Killua. Characters that are in the fine line of being good and evil are one of my greatest fascinations. It’s hard to understand them because you just don’t know what they are going to do next. They can be very unpredictable which makes them extremely exciting and interesting. And even that is the case, there is still one thing for sure; what they do is usually scary and exciting. And that is the very reason why Killua’s character is famous not only in this series but in history of manga and anime world. Well, Killua is my favorite in this series.

    About the ANIMATION
It’s been almost a decade since the last anime adaptation of this series so it is given that there would be differences from then to now. It may not be that obvious but it is quite different in many ways. And the most anticipating from it is the fights scenes. It is an action-adventure after all so it very important to have an amazing fights scenes. It is already amazing before and now it is elevated. It has a latest feeling to it. The most noticeable change is the character designs. When I first saw Killua and Gon in this adaptation, my first reaction was “KAWAII”. They are so damn cute and with that said it is already different from before. Characters from before looked a lot sharper and striking particularly Killua and Hisoka. Killua looked a lot cooler and scarier before but now, he’s so adorable I just want to cuddle him. Hisoka, though he looked creepy before, he’s still so damn gorgeous and hot most especially when his hair is down. Now, he’s looks are nastier, devilish and that’s it. Though, Gon is a lot cuter here. Well, not that I don’t like the designs now. I just prefer how they looked from before.

This absolutely brings back so much amazing memories. Both adaptation have strong and weak points which is definitely great because that’s the whole point of starting it from the beginning again. It is to adapt it more accurately so there should be a difference. It is a little bit disappointing that it didn’t continue but this is definitely still a chance to see the series in a different way.

The devil plan of invasion continues……. Yeah right! It hasn’t even started yet. Well, if she’s not too distracted with all her much curiosities to almost everything. Still, like Chizuru said that in many ways Ika-chan already invaded their lives. With this sequel, there are more funny and cute moments. It gets more interesting as it gets more dramatic and there’s more touching moments. The jokes and gags are a lot cleaner and nicely done now. The storylines are a lot more sophisticated and interesting now. Well, not that season one was not interesting enough.

The characters are as weird, funny and unique as ever. Though, I absolutely think Sanae’s “hentai” – ness is tripled. After Ika-chan, she’s mostly the source of gags and funny moments with all her perverseness. But of course let’s not forget our extremely cute and irresistible protagonist, Ika Musume-chan. She started off as a weird and annoying stranger but now people that loves and adores her keeps piling up. I think she’s a lot closer with her new found family and friends in the land. They are close enough to have serious bickering and fights. She’s more affectionate and sensitive now. She’s experimental as ever with her naivety to almost everything which is the main source of her cuteness. It is just funny that she’s already used to being in the land and rarely seen in the sea that you end up wondering if she’s really from the sea. I also love that there is more airtime for the extremely cute mini version Ika-chan. Though, I am just a little bit disappointed that there’s not even a single new character as sequels always have to make it somehow really looked like a sequel. Well, not that it affects the quality of this nice series. I am just expecting another addition to these fun and cute characters. And again, the mysterious character appears once again at the end of the series when they are having dramatic moments again. I just wish they would give even a small hint as to who she is or what she is.

Well, it’s not that long since the last season so there is not much difference. However, I honestly think that though it is not obviously visible, there are still improvements to it. I even think that if in season one Ika-chan is the only cute one and the rest are just nicely done but this time I think most of them are a lot cuter. They can be as adorable as Ika-chan is. And boy did I miss those irresistible blue tentacles!

There is no question that almost all the elements of it really improved. It definitely feels like a sequel. I am absolutely looking forward to more squidy adventure from this fun and nice series.

Well, basically the story is about a very cute squid girl who wants to invade earth and punish humanity for polluting the sea. And that’s it! There is no specific or complicated plot whatsoever. It is just about the everyday life of the protagonist and other characters. It can be so funny and touching as well. Every now and then it’s good to rest from complicated storylines and plots. It is also nice to see some light stories sometimes.

Everyone has their own fair share of uniqueness or weirdness. And the weirdest of all is Sanae with her very creepy yet hilarious obsession with Ika-chan. Most of the characters are adorable and interesting. But of course, the most adorable and interesting of all is Ika Musume. Everything about Ika-chan is just so damn adorable and cute; from appearance to personality to the way she talks and to her unusual antics. Her naivety to almost everything is making her even cuter. Because of her naivety, she’s easily fooled or people make fun of her which is no doubt giving her more cuteness. Let’s not forget her unique abilities and weird antics which are just so adorable. With her suppose devil plan, she’s sure is very simple-minded and can be air-headed sometimes. She’s also so easy to satisfy. And the mini version is even cuter.

The animation and artworks is unique on its own way. The characters’ design is what making all the difference. But of course, the most nicely done is Ika Musume herself. She’s one of the cutest and most adorable characters I’ve ever seen. Her dress, shoes, and very squid-like head are making it a complete package. And my goodness! Her tentacles are just irresistible. Her “geso” at every end of her sentences just completes the whole cuteness of Ika-chan.

It may not be the most exciting and amazing series out there. It doesn’t even have a spectacular yet complicated plot that others have. However, it is definitely not boring and there is absolutely no dull moments. It is fun, nice, and heart-warming series.

    There’s a long review coming…………

    About the STORY
I just love the psychology of gambling in this series. As always, they would show the dos and don’ts of gambling. From expressions to serious observations to deadly strategies to bluffing to psychological tortures; they would show it in detail. Somehow, it becomes very educational most especially because this is about Japanese gambles. The storyline are as exciting as always but I don’t think there’s any development in it. Kaiji let himself be in a miserable situation then magnificently get out of it or barely makes it then it will happen again. It becomes kind of predictable. But that’s only with the storyline because the climaxes are still as exciting as ever particularly when Kaiji is winning against the very irritating villains. The games’ mechanics this time are a lot more complicated. If in the previous season the games are made as simple as possible, this time it can be hard to comprehend. Though, I will admit that it is quite amazing how detailed it is. The Mangaka must know so much about gambling. My concern is that this sequel is really all about gambling. It is about hardcore gambling already which I am not very fond of. The previous season is much more dramatic, exciting, mind-boggling, intense, and heart-pounding. There is more psychological element on it so there are absolutely lots of things to learn about life. The only psychology here is the psychology in gambling. It is just so funny but most of the time irritating that they would make the moment so dramatic when they are in that situation because they’ve been spending so much money in gambling. The drama in season one can be considered a lot more authentic because literally life was what at stakes back then.

    About the CHARACTERS
Of course, with a new season comes with new characters and that includes the extremely irritating villains. It is no question that the antagonists are still as nasty and irritating as in season one. However, though the villains in season one can be extremely irritating some of the moral lessons or nice lectures came from them that surprisingly enough made them memorable and interesting. But this time, the villains are not even interesting enough. They are just plain irritating. As the villains are still irritating as ever, it still feels so good when Kaiji defeats them.

    About KAIJI
Kaiji becomes so disappointing. After what he experienced from the previous season, I expected that he would change or mature even a little bit but to my great disappointment, he is still a useless loser who would rely on gambling to have quick money. He gets manipulated a lot more. It’s as if what happened before was nothing and he didn’t learn a thing. It is no question that this time he’s a lot more of a fighter and as always his so damn amazing whenever his on a pinch or when he is fighting those extremely irritating antagonists but in the first place he wouldn’t be in that situation if he didn’t let them. I mean it is just a cycle. He gets manipulated then he wins magnificently or barely makes it then he gets manipulated again and so on. It’s like, if he’s so damn amazing and smart then why the hell is he in that position in the first place? I mean come one! Where the hell is the character development there!? What happened to learning from your mistakes? I feel so disappointed because it feels like I gave him too much credit in season one. After all the drama and amazing winnings, he still gets manipulated and loses in another gambling. After all he’s been through; he still ends up with nothing. If you ask me, IT IS SO DAMN FRUSTRATING! Come on! What’s the point of making Kaiji amazing if at the end he’s still a loser?

    About the ANIMATION and SOUNDS
I think the animation improves even for a little bit. It may not be very obvious but somehow it feels different from the previous one. The characters are still made as if they are straight from manga. And boy these characters are definitely not the most gorgeous looking characters out there. And by the way, what’s with the “SAWA SAWA” sounds effects.

I won’t deny that the climaxes or the moments when Kaiji is fighting and winning are still exciting and amazing as ever. However, I honestly believe that the season one was way better in every aspect of it. I will admit that watching this sequel somehow affected my view on how amazing the first one was. I am even wishing that I shouldn’t have watched this and so my view in the previous one didn’t have to change. And that’s not a good thing.

Let me just say that I wasn’t interested in this series in the first place because I am not very fond of stories about gambling. However, after watching the live-action film I am so interested that I decided to watch this series right away.

    There’s a long review coming…………..

    About the STORY
Fantasy, mystery, and magical stories are all nice and interesting but nothing more can be interesting and inspiring than a story about life and the harsh reality that comes with it. Stories about the harsh reality of the world and how hard to literally live day by day can be really gloomy and painful for many. And if you are someone who likes watching animes or reading mangas because you want to be entertained and forget reality even for a minute then you would probably pass this one. However, the amazing thing with this kind of stories is that they are very inspirational and would always make someone think or reflect about life. That would be because more than the part where the harsh reality is showcased, there is also the part where one can survive despite all odds. It is also a story about how magnificently a loser can grow within a fight. How one can still stand up even after losing so many times. How one don’t let his failures depress him for so long but rather learn from them. How one can still believe even after being betrayed countless times. THAT! IS NO DOUBT VERY ENCOURAGING AND INSPIRING. Plus, the drama that comes with it can be so authentic which would always shake some sense to any kind of viewer. Damn right! This is a story about gambling and what’s at stakes? YOU’RE LIFE! The games are made extremely simple but because it is life that is at stake it becomes extremely exciting and heart-pounding. My only concern is that the storyline can really be a bit complicated and run in a slow pace. And boy there are lots and lots of talks; monologues and narrations.

    About the CHARACTERS
For most of the characters, more particularly Kaiji, their psychological stability is challenged in the most horrible and craziest ways. We get to see if they will be able to maintain their sanity with all the tortures they have to face. It is one of the most anticipating parts of the series. But of course, the most exciting and anticipating is Kaiji’s part. Whether he will succumb to insanity or not is something to look forward to. With a survival plot that this series has, it usually shows the horrible side of human beings. Since ancient times, human beings had done so many things in order to survive. It is a side that makes us similar to animals. But more importantly, it also shows the admirable side of human beings that makes us the highest creatures ever made. Creatures that have intellect, logic, will, conscience, and more importantly the ability to choose how we are going to live. Despite everything else, I honestly think that what the perpetrators of the games are saying about the debtors can be unfortunately true. It really hits the mark. BUT! That doesn’t justify what they are doing. Let’s not forget that there are countless of small creatures in the world that are still able to survive the world despite their sizes which I believe one of the moral lessons you will learn from this series. Plus, despite saying those very honest lectures about the debtors, they would cheat during a fight. AH! There’s nothing I hate the most than hypocrites. The antagonists are beyond irritating. They are so damn evil. Nowadays, some antagonists are still made pitiable as well to make their actions justifiable somehow which I kind of hate but here, they are plain evil. The chairman is the creepiest and most irritating of all but surprisingly enough, he can be really funny to me.

    About KAIJI
Another exciting and interesting about this kind of stories is that it is also about a person who will amazingly prove to those people who play with people’s lives just for pleasure that it is a horrible decision to make fun with a trash who has nothing to lose. I just love stories about underdogs like Kaiji. Most of the characters are extremely irritating so whenever Kaiji prove them wrong, it also feels extremely good and exciting. Particularly the fight between Kaiji and Tonegawa. Kaiji’s character development really makes him an ultimate survivor thus the title of this wonderful series. Kaiji is no doubt really admirable but later in the series; he becomes so full of himself perhaps because of his continuous winnings. It just so irritating that he still dared to gamble again despite what he’s been through. I don’t know. Maybe he’s a masochist or something.

    About the ANIMATIONS and SOUNDS
The animation can be quite different but it is still made amazingly. The characters’ design is the most different but don’t be deceive by how they looked. It is true that the illustrations looked like it was made straight from the manga but like they said that don’t judge a book by its cover. Well, like I did because the looks of the characters made me somehow doubt the quality of the series. Thank God I watched the live-action film because I would’ve miss an amazing series. The sounds made every important scene such an intense and exciting moment. Plus, I believe the seiyu made the characters a lot more authentic, specifically Kaiji’s. Wonderful job Seiyus!

It is no question that it’s been a while since I’ve watched something like this one that would make you really think about life. However, I honestly think that it is still enough to be compared to the amazing series such Death Note and Monster which are beyond amazing.

Life is indeed a gamble. This series is about temptations, failures, chances, risks, insanities, and gambles; things that human beings knows very well. But more importantly it is about LIFE. You will learn or even think a lot about life with all its amazing teachings, wisdoms and lessons. And surprisingly enough, most of them came from the extremely irritating antagonists.

Note: Let me just say that you wouldn’t understand let alone appreciate this adaptation if you haven’t seen the amazing original live-action series.

Supernatural is not only one of my favorite series of all time but it is also one of the very few genuinely amazing series I’ve ever seen since the first time I’ve fallen in love watching tv series when I was still in high school. It is very dear to me because I’ve been following it since the beginning. Never in my wildest dream that I would see it in anime form.

The thing about supernatural is that it is so complete with some touching drama, some nice dose of humor, a little bit of romance, intense action-adventure, endless mysteries, and of course, lots and lots of supernatural things. Every each of them is very well balanced with one another and so the end result is one hell of an interesting story. It is certain that there are some massive modifications from the original story. There are even some added side stories and let’s not forget some added Japanese twist into it as well. For someone who knows the original, the modifications and additions somehow made it interesting and unpredictable. Another reason why I love this series is their very episodic style. There’s always excitement for every new story that comes with every episode. It is also a lot more gruesome compared to the original.

Another amazing thing about this series is the characters. The Winchester Brothers are one of the most interesting and amazing characters among all the tv series characters I’ve ever seen. Sam is the smart, serious, and soft one while Dean is the simple-minded, easy-going, funny, and strong one. They are very opposite but their personalities complement one another. They have their own fair share of mysteriousness. Both judgments can be really clouded by their emotions but they can definitely be strong because they have each other. Not only they are very interesting and amazing individually but their relationship is very admirable as well; one of the many reason why I just love their characters. Their very strong brotherly bond is something very touching and no doubt very admirable. And if you know the original story, you will understand how admirable it is. In the original version, they’ve proven their love and care for each other countless times in the craziest ways.

The animation is not the typical Japanese anime but it is pretty well done. Most of the characters’ design is different from the original. The only ones resembling the original are the main characters. Although, I am afraid they didn’t captured how gorgeous Jared and Jensen are. I am more than grateful that it is still Jared Padalecki who dubbed his character. Too bad Jensen Ackles only dubbed the last two episodes because his really my favorite. However, I still believe Andrew Farrar did a great job. It feels so exciting and surreal hearing their voices in anime characters. I am also so delighted that some of the sounds are from the original. It reminds me so much of it.

I will admit that this adaptation was able to show the greatness of the original for the most important parts. But it is no doubt that this is not even half of how magnificent the story of Supernatural is. Anime and Supernatural; I would never imagine that I was able to see two of the dearest things for me come together. I am so glad I was able to see Supernatural in a whole different way. This adaptation is making me miss the original series even more.

After Blood+ comes another series from the successful Blood Franchise.

    There’s a long review coming………..

    About the STORY
Blood+ is one of my favorites and belonged to my top lists of best anime ever so I am so excited to see another story from the famous franchise. The amazing thing about Blood Franchise is the stories are always packed with almost all elements needed for an amazing and very interesting story. There is supernatural, drama, a little bit of romance, psychological, mystery, suspense-thriller, and tons of actions. Plus, it is about a female in action. I just love stories about female in actions, particularly girls with katana or a sword for that matter which I really love. And because it is supernatural it is very mysterious. The mysteries keep on piling up with every episode which make the story absolutely exciting and interesting. And because of that, the revelations at the end is very anticipating and worth the wait. There is a lot difference from Blood+; from the story to characters to the animation. The story is more mysterious, dramatic, psychological, and a lot more gruesome or there’s more blood. Well, the title is blood so it is given that every new adaptation would have more blood than the usual. However, because of its mysteriousness the storyline can be really confusing. Well, the story is made by CLAMP which is known for their very confusing yet so damn interesting storyline and plot. Their work can be really confusing but in an amazing and brilliant way.

    About the CHARACTERS
Aside from the main character, literally all the characters are very much mysterious and so interesting. There’s even an important character that you wouldn’t understand if you are not a CLAMP works follower or if you don’t know the series which the character is from. As always, that character crosses over in this series as it is a very well-known trademark of CLAMP. Characters that crosses over to many different series is one of the most amazing and brilliant work of CLAMP. With all the confusion with the story, his character somehow can be considered as an assurance about the revelations later. In the previous Blood franchise, all the monsters looked almost alike but this time it varies with so many kinds.

    About SAYA
Compared to the previous protagonists, Saya is cheerful and naïve to what really is happening around her. More than being so mysterious, she’s the most confusing of all because even after people die she can just have a nice coffee or sing a song or say good morning the next day. It is pitying and pretty irritating that bodies are keep piling up around her and let it happen even while watching. It is not very heroic at all considering she keeps on mumbling that she promised that she would protect everyone. She would make some cool moves right after everyone is dead which is extremely useless. AND SO I THOUGHT………………. It turned out that she’s the most pitying of all. There’s nothing more horrifying than finding out that everything you knew was just one hell of a lie. And what’s even worse, she is just being played by literally all the people she thought she knew.

    About the ANIMATION
The animation is the best so far among all the Blood Franchise. It is very latest and you really can feel that it is very now. The fight scenes are just heart-pounding and so amazing. That’s one of many reasons why I love Blood Franchise. For someone who has been following CLAMP works for so many years, somehow I practically guessed that the characters are designed by them even before knowing it. You can definitely feel that it is their work. And the characters are probably one of the most gorgeous characters I’ve ever seen.

Let me just say that waiting for another work from the franchise is so damn worth the wait. Blood Franchise never ceases to amaze me. It can be really confusing for almost all parts of the whole series but let me tell you that the revelations at the end is just so worth it. This is one of the amazing things about CLAMP’s stories; they will give you so much mixed emotions with their work and later will amaze you with its true plot. With the combination of the two most successful in the world of anime and manga, Blood Franchise and CLAMP definitely brought us an elevated anime experience. With a very irritating ending because of the villains getting away, the movie is genuinely anticipating.

I just love stories about underdogs who will try their very best to stand up to sick and greedy people who take pleasure on playing with people’s lives. These kinds of story are always nerve-racking and would boil some sense on you. The drama is always so authentic because it is very realistic in many ways. It is always about social behaviors, profanities and let’s not forget, the amazing psychological part of it which I genuinely love. The game is so simple and not hard to comprehend but because what at stake is so big, the story becomes so interesting. Plus, Tatsuya Fujiwara is just so amazing with this kind of genre, much like Death Note.

I’ve already heard about Kaiji’s anime and manga but because I am not fond of gambling and to be honest the look of the characters are not that appealing so I end up ignoring it. (BAD JUGDMENT) But because of this, I am definitely going to watch the anime version.

After waiting two seemingly years, after the successful Ponyo the much awaited next film of Studio Ghibli is finally here.

Ghibli had brought us to a castle in the sky, a warrior princess in the mountains, a world of the supernatural, moving castle, underwater world, and now they will bring us to the world of small people. As always Ghibli brings us to another unique adventure in a fictional world of small burrowers. They always know how to make a very heart-warming, exciting, and adventurous story. Another amazing unique idea by Ghibli which is actually they’re trademark that’s why people are always anticipating their next work. Their works are always complete with drama, comedy, mystery, supernatural and there’s always a hint of romance. It is always touching and very innocent. And the adventure that’s come with it is always exciting and interesting. It always enchanting and magical.

As always the main characters are either the other one is from the supernatural world and the other is a human being which is always interesting because interaction or a story between human being and a fictional being has always and will always be interesting and sure hit. The characters this time is about burrowers or small people who struggles to live in world for people who are much bigger from them. The adventure that comes with it is always interesting and exciting.

I am just so amazed by the animation. The details of how the world would look like for small people are just so amazing. The illustrations of it are very detailed and you can see that it is done meticulously. Hard work is very evident. Just seeing the characters would make you think that it is a Ghibli’s work. They have their own trademark characters’ look that would make you think that it is theirs. And as always the music is so wonderful. Somehow it genuinely feels like watching a Ghibli Film. They always have heart-warming and best sounds.

Ghibli never ceases to amaze me with their every work that’s why I always anticipate their next project. Whether the stories are from them or not, they always know how to make such brilliant film. I am always wondering what they would make next. Their works are always worth the wait.

I am just so interested with stories about conspiracies like this one which is the conspiracy of the “to good to be true” city. The shocking revelations behind what you have always believed about your world are always so exciting and interesting. It is always intriguing to know what’s behind the seemingly perfect city. However, it has the tendencies to become a little bit boring. To be honest, there are strong signs of it being a shounen-ai story. Though it is not directly mention, it is strongly hinted.

The main characters are the complete opposites. One is very airheaded and has the tendencies to be a hypocrite and the other one is realistic and so bitter about the world. But one thing for sure; both has strong feelings for each other to the point of becoming romantic feelings. I didn’t know that this is a shounen-ai series. I am pretty shocked because this is my first time to actually watch such genre. Besides I am a girl so it is pretty surreal. It’s a little bit disappointing because Boy! These characters are just so hot particularly Nezumi. This kind of mystery always challenges the characters’ sanity and would always make you wonder of what character development they will have after knowing the truth.

The animation is fascinating as this is one of the latest series of today. It has the feeling of very NOW.

Though the plot is very much interesting and intriguing, there’s definitely lost of interest along the way. Surprisingly enough, the shounen-ai part can be really interesting for me. I think that would be because it is done tastefully and not so obvious. This series can be quite nice. I don’t love it but not hating it.

The comedy is just so clean and sophisticated that anyone would laugh so hard even for the first 10 minutes of it. What I love about green jokes is that the humor part is already overwhelming the ecchi part so at the end it didn’t matter whether it is ecchi or not because you are already having one hell of a laugh. So I strongly believe that it would not be too much for conservative people or those who does not appreciate green jokes. And another amazing thing is when you thought it is a serious moment it turn out it is another hilarious moment. I just love when they do that.

Kintaro is one of the most unique and most hilarious characters I’ve ever seen in my many years of watching animes and reading mangas. Though his type of character, which is very perverted but still very kind, is already common, it is still very rare that they are incredible smart as well. You would never even imagine him being so smart and one hell of a quick learner because his very ordinary looking. His not all perverseness but he actually love to learn that’s why the series becomes very interesting with its episodic style. His humor is just one of the top and can be considered genius. It is so damn natural. Plus the voice for his character is making it a lot more hilarious. It is making me crazy and I just want to hear it over and over again. (Seiyu! GENUIS JOB!) I think overall his character is very well-made and very likeable. And I am extremely in love with his character.

My biggest disappointment would be that, HOW COME THEY DIDN’T MAKE THIS INTO A SERIES?! Six episode is not even nearly enough for this amazing and hilarious story. I just want more of it.

This absolutely brings back the memories as this series is one of the earliest animes that I’ve seen when I was younger in the television dubbed with our language. I was still naïve then with the anime world and would just enjoy animes with the television and be contented with it without even knowing if they will continue airing it until the end.

    There’s a long review coming…………

    About the STORY
I just love series that has most of the important elements in it. There’s comedy, drama, supernatural, fantasy, adventure, a little bit romance, and of course, tons of actions. Even for an old series, the action can still be considered sophisticated. This is a proof that even before, action series can still be tasteful. Though the storyline can be cliché or something that we’ve already seen, the plot is definitely original. It can be genuinely interesting and exciting. That’s why every revelation is very interesting and anticipating.

    About the CHARACTERS
For a tournament kind of story, of course it is given that there is a huge range of character in this series. Some are mysterious, some are likeable and some are interesting but for some reason almost all of them can be really irritating. They really can work up a nerve because most of them have their own share of hypocrisies and that’s even with the protagonists themselves. The villains, particularly Hao is very irritating but the most irritating of all is the very hypocrite X-laws, particularly Lyzerg. But among the characters, one of my favorite is Chocolove. He may not be funny most of the times but when he hit it right, it’s genuinely hilarious. With so many episodes, there is obviously enough time for massive character developments whether for main or recurring characters. And most of it is because of Yoh or because of their interaction with one another. That kind of set-up might be kind of cliché but it is very effective that’s why it is always a sure hit. However, their skills development can be really incredibly far-fetched. One moment they’re so weak then the next minute they’re unbelievably strong. Perhaps, that’s to make them look cooler but it doesn’t work for me. Some characters can be extremely irritating when they force their beliefs with others, much like some hypocrites would do particularly the X-Laws. Characters that are obsess with their own righteousness. I really hate that. But boy it just feels so good when they are proven wrong by the protagonists.

    About ASAKURA YOH
Yoh is one of the reasons why I just love very laid-back protagonists alongside Luffy of One Piece. They are very simple-minded, easy going, and not complicated characters. And the most amazing thing about them is that they are usually very strong and because they are easy going characters, their powers are not obviously shown or they don’t look so cocky about it. For some reason, they look a lot cooler when they are like that. Imagine very powerful characters yet they are very simple and stupid looking characters. I just love it when protagonists don’t boast about their skills. Also, they are always positive and carefree despite being in a dire situation. That way they are a lot more interesting, amazing and definitely likeable. And as always, this type of character is always able to make his enemies into his allies. If you would think about it, this kind of ability can be considered as the most terrifying of all. Being extremely charming and influential has always been a terrifying ability of human being. Hitler is a very good example of it. It is just so weird that his goal is to be lazy and have an easy life. It is funny yet admiring in a weird way. I also think that Yoh is the most laid-back and easy going character I’ve ever seen in my many years of watching animes and reading mangas. He’s too much laid-back that it is becoming irritating at times and he has the tendencies to become so hypocrite.

    About the ANIMATION
Considering it is an old series, it is to be expected that the animation was not as amazing as of today’s animations. I also love how the spirits are made particularly when they are being used by the Shamans. Every spirit is very interesting.

Just like the others, this series also has its fair share of flaws even more now that I’ve seen so many kinds of series already. Though this series has almost all the important elements, the story has the tendencies to be far-fetched. Sometimes the storyline can be very predictable, boring, and runs in a very slow pace as well. The drama also oftentimes can be overly done and becomes so cheesy. Some characters can be over the top and become very hypocrite. And I am not saying all this just because I was younger then. Just like this series I’ve also watched and planning to watch all the series that I’ve encountered when I was younger. What I am trying to say is that there are still few series that I still find so amazing or I am even more amazed now that I’ve seen the original version. There are few series that from before and until now are still so amazing.

I think this kind of series works before and it was really amazing back then but unfortunately now, seeing it after so many years it really does feel very off. And I am not saying that series from before are all far-fetched because there are some series before that are absolutely amazing even if you watch it again now or watch for the first time like Hajime no Ippo, Detective Conan, Naruto, Cardcaptor Sakura, and of course One Piece which is much more older than this series. However, I strongly believe that with right improvement and with it’s no doubt very unique and interesting plot it can even compete to the few series that are still amazing even after so many years had passed. And it is still exciting for most of its important parts. Nonetheless, I am still genuinely glad that I am able to watch its original version.

Just when you thought solving a mystery or crime takes extremely long, guess what! You can actually solve it in the shortest amount of time. Imagine solving a crime not a day nor half a day but less than one hour. If that’s not brilliant and ambitious then I don’t know what to call it.

From start to finish there is absolutely no dull moments. This is why I just love mystery or investigative stories. There is always none stop heart-pounding moments. The excitement that comes with it always makes you so interested that you almost forget everything else. It is just exciting and anticipating every time the revelations unfold. Plus, as you follow the story you also somewhat try to solve the mystery yourself. And it is not only about the serious drama but there is actually some comedy in it. And let’s not forget the very sweet romance that comes with it. This movie is definitely complete with the much-needed qualities of what a movie should have that will give anyone an amazing experience by watching it. And Yoo Seung-ho is one of my favorite young Korean Actor. He is one of the most talented and versatile actor that I’ve ever seen and that’s not only in Korea.

If in Fumoffu there was no real plot, this time the story of Full Metal really continues. And as much as hilarious and light the storyline in Fumoffu or even in season one were, the drama in this sequel is heavier than ever. There are even some profanities, a healthy dose of nudity, and some gore scenes. However, even if this time it is a lot more serious and mature, it is not overly done. It is tasteful and every element is well-balanced. The excitement is tripled as more revelations about the plot is starting to unfold.

Of course, for a new season there are few new characters. Some are just twisted and some are definitely mysterious. This time, the villains are nastier, more powerful, more skilled and a whole lot more twisted. As the protagonists are force to separate, there are some huge character developments for them in this sequel. You’ll see them like you’ve never seen them before. Sousuke, in this season has lots of first times. It is first time ever that we see Sousuke loses his cool when his feelings and decisions become so messed up when he is force to leave Chidori. We see him at his lowest time and it feels very surreal to see him make so many mistakes during a mission and that’s all because of a GIRL. Never in his life that he encounters such feelings and he doesn’t know how to handle it. Also, we see him get mad about his orders something that we never see from him or even think that he would do as he is such an “all missions” man. And most importantly, first time in his life that he would make a decision for himself and not because of some orders. Chidori, learns to do things on her own and protect herself after being left alone and knows no one to rely on. She realizes how safely she feels when Sousuke was around and by her side. Anyways, the incident makes them realize some important feelings and realization about themselves. It also makes them a lot closer.

The animation improves a lot since the previous seasons. It might not be that huge but the difference from the first two seasons is still very visible. The fight scenes are intense and exciting even more.

This is absolutely one of the very few series that I really want to see and continue to follow in anime form so bad. It is one of the very rare times that you feel so frustrated that you won’t be able to see it in anime form already and you have to follow it in the original form. As much as I love the original, I am definitely a very visual person so I genuinely want it so bad to see in anime adaptation. Hopefully in the coming years!

Like I always said that there is ALWAYS an expectation for sequels to be at least a little bit better from the previous. Honestly, it doesn’t feel like a sequel. There are no sign of improvements whatsoever. I even think that it was more hilarious before. Though, it is A LITTLE BIT disappointing that there is no difference from the previous season. Well, I guess it is way a lot better than making the sequel different in the worst way. But my biggest disappointment would be that it is only a freaking 8 episodes. It’s as if making the last season short wasn’t enough, they made it even shorter. Come on! Why can’t they make more episodes for this amazing series? How come the amazing ones are always made so short and the boring ones are always way longer?

However, I am still genuinely glad that I get to see more of them as I really love this series. I just can’t get enough of the so irresistible, cute and hilarious characters of this series most especially Yoshioka, the one with thick eyebrows. Plus, the voices give more cuteness to their character. (Excellent job Seiyus). What I love the most about these characters is that even though they have their differences and would quarrel or bicker a lot, they still have a very close relationships and deep down care for each other.

This is most probably the first time I’ve encounter a story about primary students because most of the series about students today are about high school. There are even middle school students.

As young as they may seem, surprisingly the storyline is very much for adults. There is so much ecchi-ness or censored materials in the storyline. It is so hilarious yet so surreal that the ecchi-ness comes from little children. Although, it is so surreal to see so much ecchi-ness from children, the comical acts and mature lines are still nicely done and could be considered tasteful. The comedy is well made and definitely not far-fetched. I just love how simple misunderstandings make things complicated and hilarious. The misunderstandings are also brilliantly made. Every episode is just hilarious. There are definitely no dull moments in this series.

If you think that because it is about primary students they are a bunch of innocent angels then YOU ARE HORRIBLY WRONG. I’ve never seen characters with so much ecchi-ness like this and they are even children. That makes it a lot more interesting and for some reason more hilarious. I never thought mature jokes would blend well with very young characters. It becomes a lot more hilarious because the mature lines and comical acts are well delivered by the characters. Sometimes you would think that with their unique hilarious antics, there must be something wrong with them at their age. I love the character of the Yabe-chi who’s usually the target of torture and weird antics of his students. Even the father is hilarious with his own way. Well, almost all the characters have their own role and own way of bringing laughter to the table. All of them are just so adorable and definitely likeable characters.

Let’s not forget the most hilarious and ecchi of them all, the Marui sisters. Each three are very much different. The eldest is very tsundere like, the middle is so strong and air-headed, and the youngest is weird and scary. Though there are very different, all of them are very ecchi in their own unique way. And even if they are weird, they are still kind and nice children in their own weird way. They have their differences most of the time but they still genuinely love each other and care about the welfare of one another. Particularly the eldest, Mitsuba, whose very egoist but deep down cares a lot about her younger sisters. But my favorite is the very cute and most hilarious character, Futaba. She is just too much. A bundle of cuteness and weirdness. She’s incredibly strong and extremely air-headed. Her personality just makes her a lot more adorable and hilarious.

The animation is not the typical like the ones of today’s. It is quite different but in a good way. The unique and nicely done illustrations absolutely bring the most adorable characters I’ve ever seen. Even the adult characters are very cute. I also love how the opening theme is made. It is cute and fun as well.

I enjoyed it so much I just can’t stop watching and actually wanting for more episodes. There is absolutely no end for the cuteness and hilariousness for this bunch. I even wanted to just grab them from the monitor and cuddle them.

First, let me just say that sequels are always as in ALWAYS expected to be at least a little bit better from the previous one. In other words, it is only natural to have expectations from sequels particularly if the previous one is an amazing one. With that said, I strongly believe that the season one is way better. It’s not even that funny at all. Most of the time, all they do is have the dog-cat fight among the boys and girls that Harem stories have which I really hate. From being one of the most hilarious series, it seems to me it just becomes more of a Harem series. If last season there are absolutely no dull moments, this time there are too much dull moments that I end up skipping a lot of scenes or just forwarding it. Even the comical acts and lines are sometimes very far-fetched.

I don’t think there’s even a development with the characters. Some stay the same which could be just fine but some becomes extremely irritating particularly the girls. They’ve become a nuisance, annoying, and forceful especially if it comes to their love interest. Because of the girls’ repeated outburst, the storyline becomes very predictable. Though, it is nice that some of the characters have their background and past revealed it still does not make them any more interesting or likeable. Yoshii, Hideyoshi and Kouta are the only ones very interesting for me.

I believe the only thing that improves a lot is the animation. From the graphics to the amazing battles among summoned beasts; everything is elevated.

I am extremely disappointed because I was genuinely anticipating the sequel. It is no longer the nice and hilarious series I’ve seen before. If it’s the other way around and this one would be season one, I wouldn’t even consider watching the sequel because I won’t be interested at all. Even the Matsuri Ovas was way better.

First, let me just say that this is not a continuation of the story’s plot. This sequel is all about the lighter and comical side of the series. It focuses on the simple school life of the characters, hilariousness of Sousuke and some romance between the main characters.

This time, Sousuke’s unique antics are more hilarious than ever. His seriousness, military obsession and naivety to the normal world bring more comical acts to the series. It’s as if his doing it on purpose or he’s just extremely dense which I think what makes him even funnier. This sequel also shows the oftentimes irritating but most of the time sweet relationship of Chidori and Sousuke. It is very obvious that they have mutual feelings for each other but because the guy is extremely dense and the girl is extremely “tsundere”, both can really be irritating. Well, mostly it is Chidori who is irritating. But the most important character in this sequel is no other than the extremely cute “BONTA-KUN”. He is so important, that this series is name after his very cute phrase. He is even a lot cuter because of his cross mark on his face as to make a resemblance to Sousuke. But his cutest is tripled because all he says is fumoffu.

The story is very unique and original. This could even be the first time I’ve seen such storyline. If not, this is the rarest among the rarest. The idea of battles among students using very cute avatars is so brilliant. And they are actually using their grades so it is very school-like. Plus, the comedy is not far-fetched at all. It is not overly done and it is very effective. There are absolutely no dull moments in the series. It is absolutely funny that they would make small and simple issues into big deals. Well, when we’re talking about “BAKA” people it could really result into one hilarious series.

One of the things typical and great about school life stories are its wide range of characters. Each of them is very different from one another in a way that they are interesting and funny in their own way. Their hilarious antics are just unbearable, most especially when their making fun of Hideyoshi as being a girl.

Another great thing about this series is the amazing animation which is very rare for a typical school setting. Well, it is different from the typical because of its battles of summoned beasts. However, regardless of the summoned beasts or anything fictional, the animation of the characters and landscapes are already nice alone.

Nowadays, I know very well that with a story with a school setting, it is very hard to make an interesting enough storyline and plot that would make any viewer continue watching it. So it is definitely amazing that they are able to make it interesting, fun and unique despite the cliché setting that they have.

This is one of the first anime I’ve seen when I was younger on television dubbed by our language. I am watching this again with its original version.

I am not very fond of Mecha series but this one changed my view with this type of genre completely. Of course, when we’re talking about Mechas, it’s always about war which is very interesting and we all know that it is always a sure hit. Though, there is lightness in the storyline, the main plot is very serious and equipped with heavy drama. However, it is not overly done to the point of being far-fetched. Every element is well-balanced; from the drama to the comedy part to the romance part, everything is well-incorporated with one another so the result is such an interesting and nice story.

Even for a typical 24 episodes series, there are a wide range of interesting characters in the story. From civilian to the military; there are quite few that would really make an impression. Kaname is the very cliché “TSUNDERE” heroine that would always get angry at the male protagonist because she won’t admit her real feelings towards him. Well, usually the typical dense guy is always partnered with a tsundere girl because it is no doubt very effective. Though, sometimes she can be really irritating. She always gets mad at Sousuke when the truth is, she just wants him to notice her. And in important times, she would play “hard to get” act or even deny what she feels for Sousuke which extremely irritates me. With that said, she is still pretty much likeable character. Plus, her character is somewhat interesting because of her mysterious abilities. And her relationship with Sagara is still very sweet and cute.

    About SAGARA SOUSUKE
I think Sousuke is one of the rarest and most original male protagonists out there. All he thinks about and knows are things about the military and ironically it is mostly the source for the comical acts in the series. He becomes extremely cute and funny because of his stiffness and seriousness in almost all things. However, this personality and his amazing skills are the reason why he’s very much effective in the military field, though it is also the reason why he’s having a hard time dealing with people outside the military. And after meeting Kaname, little by little he learns different things that are quite new to him particularly when it comes to emotions.

Considering it was made around early 2000’s, the animation is not that great compared to the ones of today. However, during those times it was really amazing. I still think it is made well. It is clean and not complicated or to the point of being far-fetched. The Mecha’s are also not made too complicated. Somehow, it is made realistic and believable as much as possible.

I just love horror stories because there’s more excitement to the storyline and plot. It will always get your attention so bad. And let’s admit it, even if we know how much it would scare us, we still want to see it and know what really happen and what will still happen.

    There’s a long review coming……………..

    About the STORY
The horror element of this series is the most hardcore I’ve ever seen so far. It is clean, not far-fetched, and so terrifying. Because of that you just anticipate every minute of it. Another great thing with horror stories is that they are always accompanied with different elements like psychological, suspense, mystery, and supernatural. All of that are present in this series. Plus, every each element is balanced and used amazingly. You could say that it is well thought. It is not overly done just for the sake of making viewers scared. And as if the elements are not enough, the style is investigative which make the storyline even greater. Also, let’s not forget that it is episodic which I genuinely love. Episodic series always gives 10x more excitement. The different stories come with a different kind of excitement and thrill. The mystery that comes with every case would make you anticipate what would happen next. It is also amazing that it is not always supernatural phenomenon because they would explain some incidents scientifically as much as possible which make it believable even for a fictional series. The explanations sometimes are very thorough that’s why I said that the storyline is clean. It is not all horror as well; the drama is well made too. It is not overly done that it would become too heavy or far-fetched. There are a little bit of comedy and romance also. The well-balanced elements of the series make the plot and storyline perfect. It can also be very knowledgeable.

    About the CHARACTERS
It is interesting and amazing that every incident is explained in different views because the character is not limited with just one department. There’s a monk, shrine maiden, medium, priest, and there’s even with scientific explanations. Despite their differences, they can still work together and finishes work together. Naru is the stereotype male protagonist that knows everything, knows what to do, very calm and strict, handsome, very brave, young, enigmatic, would ask for help but would still do things by himself, and usually don’t show what he truly feels with others particularly with Mai. And as always, usually the type of character that Naru has is always partnered with a very positive, cheerful, kind-hearted, loud, expressive, would always jump to conclusion, naïve and most especially very emotional girl like Mai. Their very complicated yet cute relationship might be very cliché with the type of characters they have but it is no doubt very effective that’s why it is a sure hit. Though, both their type of characters can really be irritating at times. And Mai is always the source of comical acts and lightness for the series. The most intriguing and weird of all, for some reason Mai would always be the one to know something and would give a hint about the case without even knowing it.

    About the ANIMATION and SOUND
The most effective way or rather, the only way to make a brilliant horror story an amazing series is to give it an equally brilliant animation and sound. You wouldn’t be scared enough with reading it alone. The animation and sound of this series made it a lot more terrifying and hair-raising which is the true key if you want to make a very effective horror series.

With my fascination with horror stories, I’ve encountered so many already and very few as in very few can really be scary even for a little bit. Not that I am boasting about it but when you’ve seen so many already you would really tend to be somewhat used to it. But this one is different; the horror is very sophisticated and hardcore that anyone would be so terrified and would constantly hold their breaths which I absolutely love. The more I am scared, the more I love it. I’ve never been scared this much since seeing “SADAKO”. I am just wishing and hoping that there’s more because 25 episodes seems so short for such an amazing series. If you are easily scared then this one might be too much for you, “BETTER NOT WATCH THIS AT NIGHT OR ALONE”.

But of course, as the last season is so much as a one hell of a cliffhanger, it is given that we want to see what really happened.

    There’s a long review coming…………

    About the STORY
Just when we thought the team was disbanded with the disappearance of our beloved “OJOU”, the team is gathered again for more revenge than ever. This time the drama is tripled and much theatrical than ever and when I say much theatrical as in way much theatrical compared to the previous ones. It even looks like they are actually enjoying it when it is more theatrical. And as weird as it seems, it is even funnier. Things are more complicated and twisted but so much more exciting when Enma Ai is seemingly retiring and actually has a replacement already. But of course, let’s not forget the revenge of the “CLIENTS” which are the most exciting part of this amazing series. It is a lot more anticipating, twisted, complicated, and exciting. Every story genuinely leveled up from the previous seasons. It’s a little bit different now as literally almost all the “REQUESTS” are happening in one place or at least around the one with the connection to Enma Ai. That is why the main characters are in one place all the time which never happened before.

    About the CHARACTERS
I am really dying to know what happened to the companions of Enma Ai after what transpired in the last season and to my delight they are living normal lives. Enma Ai’s family gets even bigger with the arrival of another mysterious being that also joins in their very theatrical revenge. There are very mysterious recurring characters such as the nurse who we should all be familiar with and of course the most mysterious of all, the girl who have a connection with Enma Ai much like what the mysterious nurse had when she was younger. Both had very unfortunate and tragic fates. There characters are very much intriguing and interesting. The bad doers are a lot nastier and as always there are more twists to their characters. The “CLIENTS’” backgrounds are more interesting because of more complicated and twisted things so it is more anticipating. If in season two, Kikuri was a lot creepier, oddly enough, this time she serves as a comic relief in the series. I just love it whenever Ai says some amazing yet so harsh lines. There is so much reality in her words which is why it really becomes so cool.

    About ENMA AI/JIGOKU SHOUJO
I think that Ai is still perfect for the role of Jigoku Shoujo because she knows very well that their work is neither a punishment nor justice. She doesn’t let any emotions cloud her judgment and put some crazy hypocrisy with their work. She knows that it is neither a noble nor a curse job. It just happens that it is their job, as simple as that. This is the very reason why I just love their group because they are not necessarily the best characters but at least they are not hypocrites that would put silver linings with what they do but still have pride about their work.

    About the ANIMATION
The animation just keeps on getting better and better. There are a lot more artworks compared from the previous season particularly when Enma Ai and Yuzuki are separating during a revenge. They made sure to live up to the great animation of the previous ones. Oh! And let’s not forget the much anticipated change on Enma Ai’s beautiful KIMONO.

For the last time, let me just say that this series is not about whether it is right or wrong to have revenge because in reality the world is not as simple as right and wrong. It is way more complicated than that more importantly when it comes to human beings which I strongly believe what the series amazingly had shown us. Like what Enma Ai would always say that REAL HELL is inside of every each of us. A crazy reality checked that every character in this franchise learned in the most painful way when they tried to stop the revenge. And Tsugumi explained it amazingly with so much truth and reality into it.

Well, THAT’S A WRAP EVERYBODY. This concludes to the very tragic yet still so amazing journey about grudges and revenge of human beings. No one showcased the human behavior like this franchise did. I am more intrigue, interested, and eager to study the human behavior even more. As much as I am hoping and praying that this series will never ends, this season really gave such an epic closure for this brilliant series. I am going to miss Enma Ai and her family so much.

The story is very simple. The plot is not as spectacular like those famous series of today where you have goose bumps following the story. In fact, it is one of the simplest common stories in any type of series. However, it is no doubt very interesting. This is one of the very few series with a simple storyline and plot but still can manage to get the attention of viewers. And even if the storyline is simple, there are no boring episodes. The elements in the story is made well and not overly done. I rather have a very simple series but manage to balance everything and the result is something really nice and interesting than have a very amazing with exciting plot series but almost everything is over the top. Its simplicity makes the drama not on the heavy side but rather on a heart-warming side. And though it is simple, it is not boring much like the series “WORKING!!”. It can really be funny as well, in a kind of weird way. And because it is about how different people cope up with their situations and works hard despite everything else, it becomes very realistic because it is something we can relate to. It definitely becomes very inspiring because of that.

As it is not a story with a complicated plot and storyline, the characters are very ordinary and common. Each character is very different from one another and has a role in the story. They are not particularly memorable character but at least they are not irritating so you won’t hate them. Even then, they are still very interesting characters in their own way and some can be consider likeable characters. And just like a typical protagonist, Ohana changes almost everyone around her for the better without her even knowing it. And she herself, changes after arriving and started working in the Inn. She is nice and kind not to the point of being a hypocrite or over the top protagonist. Instead, she is sweet, honest, fun and straight-forward. You can see her growth as the series progresses. These types of characters are always inspiring for any kind of viewers that’s why it is always a sure hit. I also love the Landlady who knows everything and would say the right words at the right time. Usually I am not fond of old people but I really love her very sharp and strict attitude yet still very kind and caring nature.

Considering it is one of the latest animes of today, it is to be expected that the animations is really great. I am just amaze how detailed the Inn is made. I also notice that the opening themes have lots of running and movements involve which I think really nice and refreshing. The sounds are nice as well. Somehow, it reminds me of the sounds from Honey and Clover series.

To be honest, with a huge list of series nowadays, very few series with simple plot and storylines can really be still effective. It is not boring but not too much. In many ways that’s a great thing which make the series amazing. You will be inspired about dreams, ambitions, love, and of course about life.

Now, this is a different story from your everyday wholesome and innocent series. But I wouldn’t say it is a breath of fresh air. And let me just say that this is definitely not for someone with a faint heart.

    There’s a long review coming………

    About the STORY
First, let me just say that I am so fascinated with psychological type of series but I am absolutely not very fond of gruesome series. I know very well that some of psychological series are accompanied with gore and gruesome killings but I just think that it is not healthy for the subconscious mind. With that said this series still has a very unique and interesting plot which is why I got interested in the first place despite its gruesomeness. It is definitely not a wholesome series with all the dark elements of it. Despite having too much gore, the plot is interesting enough to make you want to follow the flow of the story as to know the truth behind all the mysteries. Let’s admit it, stories about a set of complete strangers fighting together in a somewhat survival game is always a sure hit. Anyone would always wonder on the whats, whys, whens and hows on the story. What the hell is happening? Why are they chosen? When will the game ends? How the story will unfold in the end? And when you are already on these questions then you are indeed interested already with the series and will surely follow it. It might look cheap with all the gore but unlike others where you’re already at the 100th episode and it still boring, this series will surely get your attention from the very first 10 minutes of watching it which I strongly believe is one of the important qualities a series should have. And this is coming from someone who hates gruesome series so much. Still, the drama is really so cheesy and over the top. It’s very hypocritical.

    About the CHARACTERS
The disgusting side of human being is very much shown here which unfortunately makes the characters somewhat realistic. There’s a wide range of characters; a very hypocrite guy, an extremely irritating and useless girl, a perverted guy, an extremely bitter guy, and there’s even a dog involve. But one thing for sure, there’s not even a single decent character. All of them can be very irritating most of the times. Well, that’s to be expected because of too much profanity in this series. Like I said, it is what makes it very realistic. Though, I said that, I still strongly believe that human beings are not that bad as the series portrays them. I guess it is a little bit too much. I really like that the characters literally took so much time before getting used with the survival game because unlike others where as if magic, the characters can already kick butts the moment the survival game starts. It details how the characters little by little learn to survive the mess-up game. This way the storylines are more realistic and believable. Though, that makes the storyline somehow flow in a very slow pace. Well, at the end of everything Gantz is the worst of all and I really hate him!

    About KURONO KEI
Even the main lead could be considered the worst type of character much less a decent enough protagonist. He’s the type who doesn’t care about others and would just move if there are no choice at all. He also tends to become so arrogant. Plus he is extremely perverted. Most of the time, he thinks nothing but sex. The worst of all, the second he got dumped, he just had sex with the most available woman. He’s a very good example of anti-hero character. Though, some anti- hero can still be amazing and memorable like Lelouch, Sebastian, and of course LIGHT YAGAMI. They are indeed can be really irritating but it is no doubt they are amazing enough that you would remember them even after so many years but Kei is just an anti-hero character, nothing amazing about him but instead my irritation for him is tripled. Seriously, there are even times when I really wanted for him to just die. The funny thing is, he’s one of the lamest protagonists I’ve ever seen and one of the worst characters of the series personality-wise but for some reasons he always end up looking so cool in every mission.

    About the ANIMATION and SOUND
I don’t know much about CGs but the animation is very different from the typical anime. It is very interesting and could even consider like from a movie. It is no doubt made so amazing. You can really feel that it is a science-fiction series from its animation. The uniforms are really cool as well. The sounds are just great and so cool. It really compliments the science-fiction theme of the series.

There is no doubt that this series is one of the most exciting series I’ve ever seen. Every episode is just exciting and anticipating. In fact, among all the gore series I’ve seen, this is the best made. HOWEVER, I definitely wouldn’t consider it amazing. Even for someone who have seen so many series with profanities, nudities, and gore, this is still too much to the point of I am more disgusted by it than amazed. The exciting and interesting part of this series is overwhelmed by the too much profanities, tragedies and worst characters in it. It is unique in many ways and some elements of it are really well made but it is not amazing or memorable at all that would even compete with some of the average series of today.

They are so back! This time more exciting and the characters are nastier and more irritating than ever. With some revelations about our beloved main characters.

Every story is a lot more exciting. It is made more complicating and so every each story is anticipating. There are even more twists and details in every story which makes it a lot more exciting that the previous season. Serving the revenge by the main characters is a little bit different and more exciting. It is more theatrical and more dramatic. There are more important revelations. The truth is gradually unveiling. We get to see how our lovely yet terrifying “OJOU” recruited her companions in Jigoku Tsuushin. The disgusting side of human beings is shown and so the profanity is even nastier. And even if there’s too much profanity, it is not overly done to the point of being so disgusting. I just love how the plot at the end of the series is made. Though it is sad and irritating, it is exciting how it unfolds. We see how twisted people can be and how unfortunate chains of events leads to the suffering of a single child.

The bad guys are nastier and a lot more irritating which makes the revenge a lot more exciting as well. The main characters are explored more. If in the previous season, Enma Ai’s past was revealed, this season her colleagues’ pasts are tackled as well. We get to see how and why they became Enma Ai’s companions. Enma Ai and her companions are seen a lot more together and you can see very well how close they are together. Much more, how they respect and treasure Enma Ai. They are even more investigative when it comes to their “clients”. They are the ones who gather information on why the clients are requesting their help. You could say, they are even more involve to the characters rather than just appears during the revenge itself. Let’s not forget the new addition to their group who I think is way creepier than any of them. I even think her character is more appropriate to be a hell girl with her very creepy face and nasty personality. And for some reason, she’s afraid of Enma Ai. Revelations shows that the main characters are not bad at all. Enma Ai is still as calm and poker face as ever. But strangely there are even times when she can really become funny while investigating clients and while doing their very theatrical revenge. It’s weird yet funny that while investigating, the whole main characters looks like a family. There’s also a new character whose situation is much like what Enma Ai’s had before with her village. Somehow you can really blame Jigoku Tsuushin because his character is being blame for their work. Well, I guess at the end of all, it is still people’s fault.

The animation is a little bit better and that includes Enma Ai’s new KIMONO which becomes a lot more beautiful. Ren and Hone Onna are not only very beautiful looking characters but they are very fashionable as well. As always, the sounds are so great. In fact, I think it is even better. It is really appropriate with the style and theme of the series. The ending them is really beautiful as well.

I do believe that it definitely live up to the greatness of the previous season. I think it even surpasses it. It is no longer about the revenge like the main focus of season one. There are more twists in the series which make it even more amazing and so exciting. I am so looking forward to the next season!

After waiting two seemingly very long years, a sequel is finally here. Oh! I genuinely miss this series. Though, at the beginning they will explain it a little bit but still you wouldn’t understand it much less appreciates how great this series is if you haven’t seen the previous seasons.

The different stories are polish even more. I could say that it lived up to the greatness of the stories from the previous seasons. It is more dramatic, heart-warming, and touching especially when Natsume’s past is revealed. Things get a lot more exciting and interesting when Natsume has to deal with bothersome and extremely irritating exorcists. Very few can really balance a serious drama, heart-warming, and touching yet so funny series which I strongly believe why this series is so famous even with a not so spectacular plot it has like those famous shounen series of today.

Is it me? Or Nyanko-seinsei seems a little bigger and fatter now? And for some reason, he’s a lot cuter and fluffier. His a lot more hilarious as well. This time, not only the supernatural creatures but some recurring characters are explored more so we get to see more of their stories. I love that this time not only the supernatural creatures are the focus of the story but some of the characters as well. It really balances Natsume’s relationship with both worlds. I just love his families and friends who really accept him despite knowing that he still keeps everything to himself. It is very dramatic yet so touching. Some of Natsume’s past is revealed and we can see how sad and unfortunate his past is. It is really great that now he has some really important friends and family who accepts him, both human and supernatural creatures. Finally, Natsume is gradually letting others know about the youkais and ayakashis. He no longer shoulders everything to himself because he already has people who accept and love him for who he is. You can really see how his character gets better. His more open to others, talkative, optimistic, and more importantly happier. And because of that, his a lot closer both to humans and the supernatural creatures.

But of course, after quite sometime after the last season, the animation is even better now. I love that they maintain the style of the ending animation like the previous seasons. And as always, this series has one of the best sounds amongst today’s animes.

I strongly believe that this time, this series is way even better. Every element of it is polish even more; from the genres it has, the stories, characters, styles, and even the sounds. It genuinely surpasses the greatness of the previous ones. I could definitely say that it is so worth the wait. Though I am so grateful that they are making so many seasons for this series, I would have really love it more if they make more episodes for every season. I am going to wait for the sequel even if it will take so many years!

It’s already bad that the first season was very short, so when it ended I was genuinely sad yet irritated. Why can’t they make this amazing series longer! So I am so much grateful that it continues.

Every new story is much more dramatic, inspiring, interesting, exciting and of course, touching. There is more twist to every new story so it is more exciting and anticipating. Some would be funny, some is scary, and most of it is very touching but definitely all of it is very interesting.

Madara is still denying that he cares for Natsume so much that his actually thinking that it will be hard to part ways because human life span is very short compared to his kind which I think is extremely cute. He is as cute and hilarious as ever. Even though he keep on saying his a high level creature, his acting more and more like a cat which is so hilarious and cute. Natsume is treasuring and accepting his abilities even more that he already feels sad with his very short encounters with different supernatural beings. He is still bothered with his past and though his becoming better as a person already after encountering Nyanko-sensei, he still can’t open-up with his very kind family and some close friends about his abilities. But he is actually worried now with the idea of not seeing the supernatural beings. Every encounter with the YOUKAI makes Natsume a better individual. After understanding and supporting each other for quite a while, Natsume and Nyanko-sensei are even closer. It is so great that even though his friends know that he is kind of weird, they still stay with him and accept him.

The animation is not very different from the previous one but you can still see that it is a little bit better. The sounds are getting better and better, especially the ending theme which I absolutely think so beautiful.

Ah! I can’t believe that ended so fast. This is one of the very few series that I am so puzzled why they are making it so short. Come on! At least make 100 episodes per season. I am dying to see more new story. I am just hoping that there would be a sequel. PLEASE!

I’ve been in love with Japan for a long time and supernatural series is one of my most favorite genres of all so Japanese Folklore is really one of my addictions. It’s not only scary but more importantly, it has unexplainable sophistication to it. Among the folklores stories I’ve encountered, the Japanese is the most interesting, very knowledgeable, exciting, mysterious, and you can really see the Japanese pride on it.

    There’s a long review coming………….

    About the STORY
Japanese Folklore is one of the commonly used elements in supernatural series. Well, that’s granted because manga and anime are JAPANESE. However, only very few can really showcase the greatness of this type of genre. Some would be too scary and some would be too boring. The plot can be considered as cliché but how it’s reinvented is no doubt amazingly done. It is somewhat episodic so every new episode comes with so much excitement and anticipation. The supernatural element is done nicely so it is not scary to the point of being over the top because if it’s too much, the mysteriousness will lose its greatness and would be just SCARY alone. Much like how Mushishi was done. The scary and creepy part is not overwhelming the mystery part which I think is very important because supernatural should not always be necessarily horror. It’s more on the mystery of it which makes it very interesting. The drama is not overly done and can be really touching. You could say every element of the story is well-balanced so the result is one amazing story. But more than being exciting, every story is heart-warming, touching, and inspiring.

    About the CHARACTERS
The characters are very interesting; be it humans or supernatural beings. The assortment of supernatural creatures whether they are bad or good are very interesting which make the story very exciting. I really love the character of Natsume’s Grandmother, Reiko, who started all and the one responsible why there is a story in the first place. Instead of hating herself, she finds a way to help the creatures which make her much stronger than Natsume. And even though she acts like she’s putting a fight with the creatures and collects their names, the truth is, she’s actually helping them that shows how much she treasures the beings in that world. While Natsume’s is gradually accepting the supernatural beings, they are also gradually learning that not all humans are bad.

    About MADARA/NYANKO-SENSEI
Nyanko-sensei is one of the best characters in my list and of course, one of the cutest. He is so hilarious with all of his antics. Though, he started with motives on why he approaches Natsume, he also gradually gets fond of him. Throughout the series, he would often say that he’s just using Natsume but deep down, he already cares a lot for him. I just love their unique yet complicated relationship. Because of their relationship, Natsume learns to love the other world and Nyanko-sensei gets fond of the human beings as well.

    About NATSUME TAKASHI
Natsume’s character is probably one of the most cliché types. However, this type of character is always a sure hit because it is always inspiring to see characters that started off with hating themselves because of their difference from others but throughout the series learns to accept it. He is weak at the beginning and very alone because of his abilities but improves a lot as the story progresses. Instead of considering his abilities as a curse, I am so glad that he learns to consider it as a gift. Because hating ones true self is like denying who you really are. He finally finds joy in the world different from most people and truly treasures it which I think the very reason why his character gradually improves and so he gets stronger and stronger as the episodes goes by. And that’s not just physically but more importantly his whole being as well.

    About the ANIMATION and SOUNDS
The animation is nice and the illustration of the supernatural beings might be somewhat common but it still made as original as possible and very nice. The landscapes are also great. Hiroshi Kamiya is perfect for the character’s voice. He is so amazing when it comes to monologues and delivering very nice lines. The great sounds make the series even more amazing. It becomes a lot more heart-warming and touching, most especially the ending theme.

Now, who said serious supernatural series can’t be fun at the same time? You will have mix emotions watching this series. You will laugh, cry, be scared, get excited, touch, inspired, and amazed. This is a very good example of an amazing series which resulted from the combination of episodic and supernatural. It doesn’t have a heavy and spectacular plot like those of famous animes but it is no doubt an amazing series which will make you want for more.

Jigoku Shoujo was one of the very first episodic series I’ve ever seen and it was the first time that I realized how magnificent episodic series are. For the first time, I realized that not having a concrete main plot is not bad at all. Instead, it is a lot more exciting and anticipating.

    There’s a very long review coming…………

    About the STORY
Almost all types of genres are present. Horror, mystery, supernatural, drama, psychological and there’s even a little bit of romance and comedy in some of chapters. This is the ultimate revenge based-type of story I’ve ever seen. It is just so frustrating and very much irritating when we see this different type of bad people. So it is also just so sweet and exciting that we get to see them being punish in such ways. Plus, it is episodic, so we get to see many different exciting stories. And because of that, every new story comes with so much excitement and anticipation. I just love how different stories are expressed. Every each of them starts from detailing why the characters have grudges and how they are push to the limit and ended up relying to Jigoku Shoujo. It is quite amazing how modern the supernatural things nowadays. Be it by phone, videos, and internet; they are gradually entering the world of gadgets and modernization. Setting aside the extremely exciting revenge of the different characters, I strongly believe that more than the sweet revenge, it also tackles the consequences that come with such actions. At the end of the day, just like there are consequences in doing good things to others, there are also consequences in doing harmful things to others regardless whether the reason are right or wrong. Like they said, everything that we do in our lives always comes with consequences. I think that’s why Enma Ai would let the ones requesting know the price that comes in making the contract. To be honest, it sucks a little bit. You get so irritated by those types of characters but at the end the ones requesting it also have to pay the price. I don’t think that the series is about whether Jigoku Shoujo’s actions are right or wrong. I strongly believe that the series whole point is WHY people are push to the limit and force to rely with Jigoku Shoujo. In a way, no matter how you justify it or be against on it, for them she is definitely helping them. And like what Enma Ai would always say that it is for them to decide whether to pull the string or not. And more importantly, it is also about forgiveness which is one of the hardest things for human beings to do. Lastly, regardless of all the hypocrisy and righteousness, it still definitely feels great when we see them get punish which I think one of the strongest edge of this series from others.

    About the CHARACTERS
Because it is episodic, there are very few recurring characters. In fact, literally the main characters are the only ones who are always shown. If there is recurring characters aside from the main leads, I guess there are two or three who plays very important roles in the story. Most characters that are the focus of the revenge are no doubt made extremely irritating which make it more exciting that they get to be punished. But that’s not the case all the time. It is not always about the bad guys getting punished and happy ending for the good guys who asked for the revenge. Actually, there are some twist to it which makes the series a lot more exciting and interesting. There are even instances that it is the other way around which I think why Jigoku Shoujo’s actions are question if it’s really right or wrong. The main characters are just a bundle of too much mysteriousness. Because there is no specific plot, we really can’t figure out who they are. I admire Hajime’s determination to stop people from pulling the string and with all his self-righteousness. Though, I pity him because he would always fail. Unfortunately, life is not as simple as what is right or wrong. It’s a lot complicated than that most especially when the human emotions are the ones involve. It’s not as black and white as a lot of people would consider it. There’s always gray matter for all things in life.

    About JIGOKU SHOUJO (ENMA AI)
And the most enigmatic of all is of course, the protagonist with the titular alias as the hell girl (jigoku shoujo). It is no doubt that she has this very mysterious aura that really makes her scary but for some reasons she’s not creepy at all. It’s like she’s in between being scary and being charming at the same time. Plus, she’s very gorgeous as well. Her very calm gestures and poker face expressions makes her even more beautiful. In fact, she’s one of the top 5 best characters in my list of best female characters. Her very enigmatic character makes her even more likeable. Among the very few anti-heroine characters out there, my number one favorite is Enma Ai. She’s even in my top 10 out of 50 in my best characters.

    About the ANIMATION and SOUNDS
I like how their version of hell is illustrated; it’s quite different from your typical representation of hell. For something as an image of hell, it is very beautiful. There are even flowers, streams, trees, and even mountains. Though, I am not sure if it is hell or purgatory or just the dimension where Enma Ai and her companions reside. But for a place which is no doubt not a paradise or the opposite of paradise, it is still very beautiful. I think the sounds are very appropriate with the theme of the series. It gives a whole package to the greatness of the series most especially Enma Ai’s character song.

I’ve never seen a series which literally packages most of my favorite genres. And every elements of it are made so magnificently that the result is one brilliant series. This is one of the very few series that you would want to continue even after realizing that it is already the last episode.

First, let me just say that you wouldn’t be able to understand this let alone appreciate it if you haven’t seen the anime series or followed the manga.

For people who really loved and followed the story, it is really exciting to see the story in animation once again. It is hilarious as ever. And of course, the battle scenes are fascinating as always. Like what you expect from an original plot about roller blades with advanced capabilities which is almost unbelievable. It is very ambitious yet still fascinating that they are able to create story about using roller blades. The executions of tricks and every movement are the biggest reason why this series is very popular. However, as always the only problem with this series are the storylines. I strongly believe that the storylines most of the times are mess-up and very far-fetched. There are even moments when you don’t understand what the hell is happening. One moment they are fighting and one moment they buddies. You even sometimes questions what the hell are the characters doing and why they are doing it. And when you think that they are finally explaining, they would just say some over the top lines that sometimes you don’t understand. Almost all the characters even have this very dramatic monologues which are very far=fetched. it is almost like they would just have those moments to make the storylines dramatic which I personally consider over the top.

It is also great to see some of the important characters in the series that we didn’t have the chance to see in the anime series before. The animation is very much way better considering it is latest. The every tricks and movements of characters are illustrated better.

To be honest, I am not too delighted to see this one.

Air Gear was one of the very first anime that I’ve seen when I was younger. My only means of watching it at that time was on the television with our language dubbed. You could say it was one of the reasons that sparked my great fascination with animes.

    There’s a long review coming………

    About the STORY
It is very much inspired by students and delinquents who have street fights using fictional and advanced roller blades which are very Japanese-like. It is quite ridiculous yet funny that they are practically flying already with just using roller blades. I guess that’s the whole point. It can be hilarious as well. I am also amazed on how the mangaka was able to create a story with using roller blades. The story is pretty much cliché as we’ve seen so many stories like this. However, during it’s time, it is no doubt one of the most popular series. You could say that if it would be aired for the first time nowadays, I don’t think it can compete head on with famous series of today. It was definitely better that it aired before when this type of storylines were not overly-used yet. The storylines might be very typical but the plot is still absolutely original. The lines made the characters cooler but it has the tendency to be so cheesy.

    About the CHARACTERS
For a 26 episodes series it has a wide range of characters. Simca is absolutely the most irritating character among the characters with all her schemes and manipulations. Ikki is an example of the stereotype male protagonist who usually starts off as very weak then throughout the series becomes stronger and stronger. As cliché as it is, this kind of character is always a sure hit because it is really inspiring when we get to see characters who despite so many obstacles still manages to get stronger. It is exciting in its own way. Ikki has almost all the clichés that a male lead has. He’s like an idiot who thinks nothing but getting stronger. He shouts when his fighting and usually easily manipulated. He can be extremely irritating because of being cocky and arrogant most of the times. Like most male protagonists, he also has the strange ability to persuade his enemies and make them his ally. He also makes his own group of strong individuals. And to top it up, usually even though they are initially weak, they become strong because somehow they have very unique abilities; its either fictional abilities or just physical. Actually, these characteristics usually become very irritating however it definitely works for this type of character most especially for shonen type of stories. The very reason why until now it is still a sure hit.

    About the ANIMATION and SOUNDS
The illustrations of how magnificent a particular character, is very much exciting but it has the tendency to be over the top. By the way, what’s with male protagonists having one hell of a spiky hair? Most of the famous male protagonists have spiky hairs. Does that make them a lot cooler because I really don’t think that is the case? The sounds are very much appropriate with the theme of the series which are about teenagers and delinquents. It gives a lot more spunk and hip with the series. It made every movement a lot cooler.

I genuinely loved Air Gear during the first time I saw it when I was younger and still very much naïve with the anime world. I had these very wonderful memories of it when I was watching it in the television with our language dubbed. However, now that I’ve been watching animes for a very long time and already encountered a lot of different stories, I just can’t find myself appreciating it the way that I appreciated it before now that I’ve seen it in the original version. I absolutely don’t want to sound arrogant now that I’ve encountered so many different series but it really does have a very typical storylines. This couple of years, there are tons of typical storylines like this one but despite that they really can compete head on with famous series of today. Thank God that I’ve seen it for the first time 5 years ago and not now because I believe I wouldn’t be able to appreciate it. Plus, it really does look like the story is just beginning after the last episode.

Part of my everyday life is watching animes or reading mangas and I’ve been doing that for a decade already. I am not very picky when it comes to the type of series I would want to see but love stories are the very least genre that I would want. But for the very few love stories that I’ve seen, Kimi ni Todoke is the most brilliant and magical.

Kimi ni Todoke is not only the best love story I’ve ever seen but one of the best among all the famous series of today. So when I learned that they are making a live-action version, I was definitely excited to see it. The movie version is no doubt nicely done. Even its version of Sawako is almost a like. The actress almost manages to be the original Sawako. Not to mention her voice which is almost like Mamiko Noto’s who voices Sawako in the anime version. However, I honestly think that it didn’t live up to the greatness of the original version. I am not saying that the movie is boring but the original is just so great. I think it is a problem of comparison. When you’ve already seen another version, you always tend to compare it from each other. Though, that is the case, I still think I wouldn’t be interested with the story if I’ve seen the movie first and next the anime or manga version. I would still prefer the anime version.

You wouldn’t appreciate this if you’re not open with very green jokes.

It might be a very r-rated film with all the sex scenes but you would forget it with all the hilarious moments of it. This is probably one of the most hilarious films I’ve ever seen. In fact, there are even times where you would think it is a serious scene then it turn out to be one hilarious moment. I love how the seriousness of the story balances with all the hilarious jokes. Even with a different language, I think any culture can relate with it. Plus it’s not just all lewd or funny things but there is actually a drama in it. An interesting and nice story.

Well, sequels are always exciting and expected to be even better that the previous season. And this sequel is way even better than the season one.

    There’s a long review coming…….

    About the STORY
The very adventurous journey of the group continues in this sequel when new worlds are a lot more exciting with actions, laughter, romance and heart-warming drama of the main characters as well as for the characters they meet. Even previous worlds are further explored. But of course, the most anticipating and exciting part for the sequel are the revelations. Questions are slightly answered, truths slightly unfold, and the main plot is slightly hinted. The lines are more inspiring. The romance part is also further explored.

    About the CHARACTERS
In this season, because they’ve been journeying for so long, the main characters’ bond is even stronger when they gradually open up about their pasts. They appreciate, understand, and trust one another even more. They even influences and give advises with each other. Even Fai, who’s the hardest one to understand because of his poker face, gradually let others in. He sometimes uses his abilities to help others when he himself said that he vowed not to do so. In the previous season, Sakura was very frail, weak, and quiet because the memories that have been returned to her were still very few. But in this season, she is a lot more cheerful and strong-willed. And even without her memories of Syaoran, somehow she still feels the same way for him. On the other hand, Syaoran admits that he does not only stay beside Sakura because of the feathers but he himself wants to. Even when their pasts are slightly hinted, most of them still have a very mysterious aura about them but among them Syaoran is the most mysterious. When the plot is gradually unfolding, his identity is becoming more and more confusing and because of that, every revelation is just so exciting and anticipating. But of course, the most fun part is still the gathering of other characters from previous worlds and another anime.

    About the ANIMATION and SOUND
The animation is also even better with breath-taking landscapes of every new world. Well, CLAMP has one of the best illustrations and artworks in the history of manga and anime world. Again, with the sounds. The sounds are just ridiculously amazing. It does not only give the final touch to the series but it is one of the biggest factors why this series is such a hit. It’s unique and very much original but most amazingly, it is magical, beautiful, and just so brilliant.

With that all said, I guess my only slight disappointment would be that the plot is just slightly revealed. And when I say slightly I mean very much slightly. I’ve read the manga form already and so I am anticipating for the adaptation of it in anime form. As much as I love mangas, I am a very visual person so I just love to see the story in anime form. And if you think that the revelations in this season are plenty already then you are horribly wrong. I would say it is just around 20-30% of the real thing. Well, setting aside that, this is definitely one of the most amazing series ever in the history of manga and anime world.

From start to end, you will laugh your hearts out. For something that has been made manga and anime first, this live-action movie is very well-made. The comedy is genuinely so hilarious. Plus, the actors are just so talented and so every act is so hilarious. I still haven’t seen the manga or anime version yet, but I am sure it will be as hilarious. I just love Japanese humor so much.

It took two seemingly long years for Bleach to have a sequel from their very much successful third movie. Finally it is here!

Be it in the anime series or the films, Bleach has taken us to different breath-taking and magnificent worlds. And this time they will take us to their version of Hell. As always, the film is packed with overwhelming actions and non-stop fight scenes which is no doubt one of the greatest factors of Bleach that made it one of the best and most famous anime and manga series of all time. If in the previous films, Ichigo, despite being the main character, is not directly involved with the main plots but this time, Ichigo is once again the center of the plot as him and his family is being targeted by unknown creatures. Though, we’ve seen Ichigo loses his cool or down, we never see Ichigo breakdown in tears so much like in this film when his sister almost died because of him. The drama is polish at its best. Not that I didn’t love how the drama was made from the preceded ones.

The new characters in this one are very much interesting. I am just so amaze that Bleach can always come up with new exciting and interesting characters. Can’t wait what they can still create in the future. One of the edges of Bleach from the others is creating a villain. For some reasons, they can always make the most irritating villains in the anime and manga world. In the fight with Ulquiorra, I am just so thrilled with Ichigo’s transformations so I am more than delighted that I get to see it again in this film. Moreover, we get to see another magnificent transformation of Ichigo which is very much appropriate for hell. Plus, one of the things that amazes me about Ichigo is his ability to make people side with him; soul society, hollows, and vizards. And this time, even hell sides with him. I also notice that unlike the previous films where almost all the important characters were present in the films and were very much involved in the fight scenes, in this film, the main characters are the only ones part of the main plot. Even though, some are shown in the later part of the film, they did not even participate to any action scene. I am a little bit disappointed but not enough to view the whole thing negatively. I guess, it is quite good for a change.

Like I said before, Bleach’s greatest edge is its Hollywood –like animation. Bleach is not only one of the best but in fact, the best animation of all time. And if the anime series is like that, you would drop your jaw how magnificent the films are. The animation of this sequel is just nothing like I’ve expected. Bleach always amaze us of their versions of different worlds, so when I heard that they are making their version of hell, I was like “HELL! ITS ABOUT TIME”. The illustrations and graphics of their version of hell are just phenomenal. It’s a whole different type of hell than what we see before. It is so unique and original which is a trademark of Bleach. Making their original versions is always breath-taking. Plus the fights scenes are at its best. It is heart-pounding and very much so exciting.

Bleach took long enough on making us wait with so much anticipation for their fourth movie but it is so worth it. Every film always lives up to the greatness of the preceded films. It always surpasses the others. I just don’t know how they can still make ones in the future when it is already this great. It just shows how creative they are. They never feel contented with the success of one film and they always know that there are still rooms for much improvement. I just can’t wait for the next one.

Love as the most cliché of all, is no doubt the most important, strongest, and sweetest feeling in the entire world. That is why since ancient times, love stories are always a sure hit for any kind of people.

    There’s a long review coming…………

    About the STORY
As popular and cliché love stories are, the romance between humans and non-humans are always a big hit. Why? Because love as we all know is something that is exclusive for human beings only but sometimes we tend to forget how great and wonderful it is to love and be loved. And as we know as well, non-humans doesn’t have such feelings and so because of them, it reminds us how extremely lucky we are as human beings to have such emotion. What I really love about this particular series despite having a very typical plot is that, it is able to express the drama of that kind of plot magnificently and not too simple nor too dramatic. It is able to convey in details how would a person feel when they fall in love with a robot and how a robot as well would feel when they are able to finally know how it feels to love. It is shown that human beings despite knowing the risks of being so hurt because of falling in love, they would still do it. Which only shows how strong we are. Even after failing with love over and over again, we would still love. That is the proof just how it is still so wonderful to love. I also love that they used, “The one only for me” because that is the very definition of love. Whether it is human or not, you will love them for who and what they are. Like what they always say that love comes with different forms. Plus it also has the element of comedy in it. Both the drama and the comedy are not overly done. They are well-balanced and so the result is one amazing series.

    About the CHARACTERS
There are lots of likeable characters in the series and there are almost none irritating ones. Each of them has their own stories with regards to the plot of the series which is about persocoms. And as always, CLAMP characters are always kind-hearted and very honest people. It is very rare nowadays to have almost every character to be nice or have likeable characters because most of the times there are some non-existent or very irritating characters in the story. I really like the character of Hideki. Usually his character is very cliché because you would always encounter characters like him; a very perverted character but at the same time very kind. But usually they tend to become so irritating because they are almost all the time indecisive characters. Hideki is very different. He is not that smart in academics and in life. However, he let himself properly digest the situation in his own time before making a decision as not to hurt somebody. That is why he never does things half-heartedly and would surely protect his decision until the end because he thought about it properly. There are lots of characters nowadays who do things half-heartedly or become so hypocrite that they become so irritating even if they are protagonists. Hideki is simple and the epitome of just pure kindness.

    About CHI
I believe Chi is one of the very few non-human characters who is genuinely so cute and honest. Not only she is cute physically but her naivety to the world brings out her cuteness even more. Her actions and gestures are just so damn cute that I end up watching her scenes over and over again. I just so love it whenever she would copy Hideki while using only the “CHI” words. Plus her way of speaking in a robotic fashion is probably the cutest. And because she is a robot and learning a lot of things, she is so honest with what she feels. I am glad that at the end, she is able to realize that what makes human beings humans is that they are still able choose to love despite the pain and sufferings that comes with it. It serves as like a sign that at the end being a persocom doesn’t matter any longer.

    About the ANIMATION
As this is a CLAMP work, you can definitely see their signature work on it. The illustrations and artworks might be somewhat different but you can still feel their touch on it. I am just puzzled on why all the characters’ eyes are the same whether they are humans or persocoms. The only exception is Hideki. Chi’s character is the most wonderfully made. You can very well notice not only physically that she is a persocom but she is the most human looking among all the characters. She is so cute and gorgeous at the same time. Well, I guess that would be because she is supposedly the best persocom made in the story. I also love how the seiyu delivers Chi’s voice. It is very convincing that she is a robot. It is very robotic like but at the same time it is made so cute.

Indeed, CLAMP has done it again. I can’t explain it well how they create such amazing works considering I’ve been watching and reading CLAMP works for many years now. It is always heart-warming, touching and amazing. You won’t have dull moment or even irritating moments in their works. Plus, CLAMP always creates one of the best love stories of all time. They have this signature way of expressing love stories that you won’t see in others. Something that you know is a CLAMP trademark. I am not so fond of love stories but this one is definitely one of the best I’ve ever seen.

Indeed, the world is filled with unknown life forms which is why supernatural stories are such a big hit to any kind of viewers.

I’ve always love stories about supernatural things particularly Japanese folklore. Plus, this series is an episodic type of series so you could say that watching this series is like a jackpot for someone who’s been watching animes for so many years like me. I just love episodic series because it always gives you a new different excitement that comes in every new chapter. And because it is episodic, there is no specific plot in the story. It is really just a compilation of different amazing stories. The drama for every story is nicely expressed. It is not too heavy or dramatic. Even when the ending of a specific story is tragic, the drama is not overly done. And I like that the endings are not always a tragic one. All the important elements of the series are well expressed and not just the mystery or supernatural part. But what I love the most is that the mysteriousness that comes with every new story. It is something to look forward to. Whenever a chapter ends, you anticipate the next one because you are assured that it will be an amazing one like the others. You also learn something in every story so it is very knowledgeable. It’s like learning Japanese folklore even more. The lines or dialogues are nicely done as well, its’ like listening a story from an expert storyteller. Somehow it gives an extra excitement to it.

Because it is episodic and does not have a particular plot, there are only very few recurring characters. But even with Ginko being the only one who we constantly see, it is enough because he is packed with so much mysteriousness. Even if knowing that the series does not have a plot, you somehow wish to know more about Ginko. His enigmatic personality makes him a very likeable character. Well, almost all of us just love the characters that make us so curious about them.

I am so amazed how the supernatural things or phenomenon are illustrated. It somehow has the Japanese touch to it. You can really feel that it is Japanese supernatural stories. Let’s not forget how the sounds matches well with the type of element this series has. It makes the series very supernatural and very Japanese like. The sounds give the series more mysteriousness into it.

There are very few supernatural series that would really make someone interested in the series. Some would be too simple to make it interesting enough and some would be too complicated because it is so far-fetched. This series manages to balance everything and so nothing is overly done. You would genuinely appreciate every moment of it and elements that the series has. It is no doubt one of the best as of today. This is one of the very few that I truly wish would continue to air for so long.

Most people would understand what teenagers go through in their puberty but not everyone would truly understand what a teenager having identity crisis goes through. So it is very good thing that there is an actual series which tackles this kind of issue.

    There’s a long review coming……

    About the STORY
Let me explain why it is simple and rare and how it made this series an amazing one. It is simple because unlike your everyday story with explosive plots or heart-pounding revelations in the storylines, this series tackles one of the most common issues in our society. And because the plot is simple it becomes a lot more realistic and some can truly relate or understand the story. The drama becomes natural and not over the top because it is realistic and simple. While the plot is a very common issue in real life, it is very rare for manga or anime to have this kind of plot. It becomes a breath of fresh air from your typical series. But what I love about it is the chosen rare plot of it about gender identity crisis. For homosexuals or transsexuals, there’s nothing harder than the first stage of their realizations and that is during the time of their puberty. This is the stage where a lot of manifestations of being a girl or boy occur in our body. And there’s nothing more horrifying for someone having gender issues to experience changes in their body which literally shows their gender. It’s like biologically, their body is literally telling them their reality. And it is the worst time for teenagers because they’re in a very young world where people around them are not mature enough to understand what they’ve been going through. I think it is even harder for transsexuals particularly boys. I strongly believe that this kind of issue is something that literally can never be granted. Some can dress up, change sex, or even try so hard to look like a boy or a girl but literally they can never become what they truly desire. I can only imagine what that feels like. To want something so bad and yet nature literally can never give it to them. And even for someone like me who have gay friends, I won’t be able to genuinely understand what they’ve been through or still going through. The drama that comes with this kind of plot is really inspiring and touching. It is definitely great that there is series like this.

    About the CHARACTERS
Almost all the characters are very inspiring. And because the plot is simple and realistic, the characters are someone that anyone can truly relate to. Each of their stories and how they handle their issues are really inspiring even for someone who doesn’t have this kind of story. I believe compared to the other protagonist, Nitorin’s character struggle more on the issue or manifested gender identity crisis a lot more. Setting aside dressing up, he even falls in love not once but twice with the opposite sex. Plus, it is so weird that despite almost all his friends knows that he loves cross-dressing and yet three girls actually like him. Though, I just want to mention that oddly enough, Saorin’s character is the weirdest of all. As much as it is common for me issues like gender identity crisis, her issue is the most complicating one. I mean, still falling involve with a tyranny and even help him dress up. Seriously, that’s weirder I think.

    About the ANIMATION and SOUND
The animation is quite different from the typical animation of today. It even feels like old but somehow it is still great. The sounds match well with the drama of the story. It gives a final touch to the greatness of the whole thing.

More than a breath of fresh air, it is a very inspiring series. One that very rarely seen. If not relate to, at least understand a little bit of their world.

Gintama is the most hilarious series I’ve ever seen in my more than a decade of watching animes and reading mangas. It is number one on my top lists of best animes in comedy and in the top ten on my hundred lists of best animes in the history of anime world. So when I learned that they are coming back, I was more than delighted, I was so thankful for the whole production who decided to bring them back.

    There’s a long review coming………..

    About the STORY
First, I strongly believe that you wouldn’t be able to appreciate this to the extent if you haven’t watched the previous one. Let me also just mention that the last episode of the previous one didn’t felt like it was the ending and so this new anime adaptation is really like a continuation. And the very first episode is really a blast, a very appropriate opening episode for this amazing series. The jokes, comical acts, and most especially the parodies are more hilarious than ever. Not that I didn’t love the hilarious lines from the previous one but this time it is polish even more. Not only they are making parodies about several other famous series but this time they are doing some international TV series as well which are extremely hilarious. The arcs are even better and a lot more exciting and interesting. As much as I love how the different arcs from the previous one was made but the truth is, there were a lot of moments that it became so dramatic and too cliché. The lines were also too damn cheesy when they were trying to make it cool but instead it became so mushy and cheesy. But to my surprise and delight, this time the arcs improve a lot and when I say a lot as in drastically. The drama is more expressed in a way that it is no longer over the top. It is a lot more clean and very much touching. Even the dialogues or lines are nicer; it is delivered so well that it really brings out the coolness of the words and the characters who are delivering them. It is also so amazing how the serious lines are well incorporated with hilarious lines. It makes the lines even greater. Until now, it is still bewildering yet very much amazing how the mangaka is able to create such jokes and parodies. Sometimes, it is just insane how he is able to that because there are even jokes and parodies that you wouldn’t normally think would be funny at all. But for the mangaka, he can even make the smallest things and most ordinary in our everyday life so hilarious.

    About the CHARACTERS
Like I said, you wouldn’t understand this if you haven’t watched the first one. That also goes with the characters. In the previous series, even for a very long airing time or many episodes, there were very few characters whose backgrounds were expressed enough. I guess, the protagonists and main characters were the only ones who had revelations about their pasts. In fact, even for them it was still not enough or not everything about them was known. So I am very grateful that this time, even the supporting characters’ backgrounds are being revealed. The characters are made even cooler and a lot more amazing most especially Gin-chan who I love more and more. Not that I didn’t love his character from the previous series but you could say his character is even more polished.

    About the ANIMATION and SOUND
I really don’t know how to express it enough but for some reasons the animation is definitely even better. It gives off a feeling of watching an anime film. Let’s not forget how the fight scenes improve a lot as well. Even for a comedy type of series, Gintama has one of the best fight scenes in the anime world and you could even compare it to some famous action series of today. And in this new adaptation, it is just brilliant. It could even be compared with a film. It is very detailed which brings out the amazing movements of the characters while fighting. Even the sounds are greater than ever. It gives the whole thing a complete package. The amazing music gives the final touch to the series.

Indeed, there are tons of improvements and almost every element is polish. Not that I don’t love as much the previous one but I will admit that there were really space for improvements. I could definitely say that this time, Gintama is at its best so far. I was really sad when they’ve decided to end the series because this series is one of the very few which I genuinely want to continue watching in anime adaptation. To be honest, I just want it to continue even for so many years. Even when the time comes when I am too old to move much, I would want to still watch this magnificent series. NO ONE DO PARODIES LIKE GINTAMA DOES.

First, let me just say that I decided to give my review here in the last movie because I will review everything here as a whole.

    There’s a long review coming…………

    About the STORY
All 6 movies were almost made like as an anime series. You wouldn’t see it individually as every movie literally needed the other ones in order to understand it as a whole. Every ending of a movie was a cliffhanger as so you definitely need to see the next one. It’s as if it was a single film divided into six parts. You could say it didn’t have the sense of individuality. That is why I said it was almost like an anime series. The plot and storyline was not unusual and you could even say it was typical or cliché. However, it was still interesting and amazing enough on its own way. Plus, almost everyone just loves mecha, right? And when there are mechas involve, it is always about war. And war as cliché it may seem, it is still an issue that everyone can relate into as it is still happening in the real world. I guess, my biggest disappointment would be the ending or the last movie. It was nothing like the other movies. The first five movies were definitely amazing and every time I was watching it, I was genuine thrilled and had too much excitement which made me anticipate every sequels. But the ending didn’t live up to the greatness of the preceded movie. It didn’t feel like it was the ending. In fact, it actually felt like there was a sequel or a continuation.

    About the CHARACTERS
The characters were not that special. The typical characters you see in your everyday series. Well, at least they were not irritating as some characters or even protagonists can really be irritating at times. I mean they were not particularly likeable characters but I definitely do not hate them. I guess, they were interesting enough in their own way.

    About the ANIMATION and SOUND
I think the animation was really the one which gave the feeling of a film to it. It was the one that separates it from an anime series. Its amazing visual effects gave the feeling of a movie to it. Plus, the sounds were just so amazing which is absolutely very rare. Not all series or movies for that matter have sounds that are decent enough. The sounds gave an extra touch to the whole package of it.

It may not be the best but it was amazing enough. Well, except of course for the irritating ending. You see this is the problem when watching or reading an amazing story. You get so hook to the whole thing then they will give you a very disappointing ending. Endings are as important as the beginnings and climaxes. For some it is even the most important part. It is the one that gives you the feeling of closure to all the amazing things you witness all throughout the whole thing. In fact, sometimes when the ending is so disappointing, you end up hating everything else. And more than the disappointment, you get so irritated to the whole thing. I absolutely think that the manga version or the original story is a little bit better.

At the beginning, the girl wrapped in a mattress piqued my curiosity so much that I wanted to continue watching it. Unfortunately after that nothing more. The storyline was puzzling, not in a good way. In my many years of watching animes, usually being puzzled about the story or plot is a very good sign of being interested because it means the series got your attention. But in this series, I was so bewildered in a very complicating way. It’s not even interesting enough for an average story. There were moments when it felt like senseless. Before I knew it, I was already yawning like I didn’t have any sleep when in fact I had.

The characters just kept on talking and talking about senseless things. It’s like watching a very boring conversation between two very awkward people. I could not comprehend what the hell were they talking about. Plus, almost everyone was so weird that they were talking and acting like they had their own worlds. Though, I am going to admit that they were very cute and gorgeous characters most especially the female lead. I can’t define whether she’s cute or gorgeous. It felt like she’s too cute for her age but too young to be considered so gorgeous. It’s like she’s at the peak of being cute and already going towards of being beautiful.

Well, at least the animation was so great given that it was one of the latest animes of today. The graphics and how the characters were beautifully done was definitely one of the best.

Seriously, I am very disappointed because almost all 2011 animes are not amazing or interesting enough. Oddly enough, for some reasons almost every each of them are pretty much famous but in the end almost all of them are not interesting at all. I am so puzzled why are these series so popular?

Too be honest, I was expecting so much from this season as the previous season was not really interesting but I guess, I was expecting too much and I ended up disappointed!

I strongly believed that the story was made so out of proportion. Too much tragedy and too much drama which was not justify until it finishes. Most of the time I was irritated by lots of things like the story, characters, dialogues, and most importantly the ending which is very important whether a story is good or bad. Every scene had too much tragedy and drama almost like Elfren Lied. It was no longer healthy for the subconscious mind. Most of the characters did stupid things almost all time that’s why they always end up killed or beaten up. To add it up, they would always say such too cheesy or too mushy lines. It looked like they were trying so hard to be cool or heroic which didn’t work for them. And as if it wasn’t enough! The ending wasn’t justifiable at all. It doesn’t give you a closure at all. The villains revealed something and it turned out he was really the victim. That was too much of a CLICHÉ. Just because it turned out that the villains were just mere victims, that didn’t justify their actions. It even ended with the lead female and main antagonist just clashing their fists while the female lead says over dramatic lines.

I only finished this for the sole reason of finishing something that I started but not that I was anticipating the ending at all.
