thanx to my good friend ivan, i have been able to get past the taboo with "not watching bad remakes" - which on the surface what brotherhood looks like.....

needless to say, fma was a very very long manga , about 70% of which was discarded in the epic anime, and it didn't give a damn....(it shudn't have either...lol) .... brotherhood starts off at the exact same position as the first one, but the characters are introduced in the anime way - through a fight scene...... in a different first episode, different as in not being in the FMA.......

surprisingly, the elric brothers are the only one here who looks grown up and acts more mature, and everyone else - mustang, hawekeye, even scar and the homunculus act real , real stupid.... (scar goes all ninja...haik huik with his hand ...never shows that dark determined face, is never gloomy in times in between......mustang acts like a total jerk, without his past explained in detail, hughes not getting an visually charming part where his brilliance is shown, only when he goes babbling about his kid....aaargh)

the music was really, really, bad....the japanese voice acting and the english is worse than the FMA.... and i really wanted to kill those MOFOS who decided to go with this dimwitted theme....... FMA still, has the most hauntingly beautiful and fittng score among animes and tv serials alike.....

now , for the good part, since the story is now porolonged and taken on a different path, a new villain, who is more fitting and more deserving takes the throne, and the stories of all the homunculus'background change, in a good way.... their powers also change....damn....even the homunculus change.... and that has worked just fine.....

the best part probably is the action sequences.....well drawn and very well directed.......very very well choregraphed action sequences dominate brotherhood.......

so , that about sums it up -

FMA is the summarization of a beautiful story , done in over-the-top detail and charater detail, and interrelations and awesome sound

Brotherhood is the original, kinda dull story, with many twists and turns, told in a stereotypical anime-ish way, with bad voice and sound, with superb action

i dunno how many of u have seen the first one, but it is recommended u do so if u wanna watch this one..... it lacks many things from its predecessor, but is still quite good......

ok, first of all, the animation is now all funny and weird, which somehow looks kinds like poorly drawn hentai .... :( :P ....... but the character design are still good, the guns look good, though not as good as the first one, and the animation is not at all fluid like the first one, thats where it looses two points

at the same time, the story is now more mature,a longer and even better story with more characters, filled with more bad guys and more boom boom , and a pretty good psychology within the characters, which makes the story even more enjoyable than the first one, and gains a point.......

i have seen many reviewers saying its not like the first one and i agree, its different, but the animation is NOT repulsive, the backdrops look good, and underneath those googly eyed, the designs are ok, so..... if u r willing to give it a try, go ahead

ok.....i LOVE mecha ..... i also like funny..... but i don't always like when they are intertwined ...... FMP, being a very very hyped anime of the moment, i had to try it, even though it didn't stun me with brilliance, it was pretty damn good.....

okay, so the story is like exactly what you have written in the description....any more would be just spoilers....

so, here goes the summarized revierw : action sequences are good, but could have been way better..... the starting 5 minutes of this anime it still haunts me and i rank it among the top 5 openings ever among animes.......but i couldn't find any scene remotely as good during the rest of the episodes

the sound effects and background score was mediocre, so was the overall story....

and here is the letdown of the anime : it is VERY good when its funny, it is good when its all mechas, but it stinks when it is switching between them....arrgh.....1 minute u r busting up things, the next moment you are acting all ridiculous and weird???in the same episode????how is that supposed to make u feel?

i dpn't go for animation straight away....but the trailer of this one blew away my mind..... i was always "ga ga" for guns, but i skipped the whole "girls with guns" genre -the thing that creeps me out about these kinds of animes . One google eyed girl comes and blows shit up ..... WTF?

but wow, GSG was different, as i saw in the trailer, and amazingly, this one turned out to be even better than the trailer.....

the story revolves around a couple of girls, who were on the verge of dying and then given bionic parts and trained as assassins, these girls develop the midset of an adult killer, stuck in the body of a little kid...

so, as you can see, this anime is quite fascinating when it comes to psychology, and they have handled this part quite magnificently...... the whole fiasco with the girls growing up with another bunch of girls could have been messed up, stereotyped....but it was played out superbly over there......

the details of the guns' design blew me away....the action sequences were very few in numbers, but they were, like, WOW!!!

the background music was awesome, the sound effects are also pretty damn realistic....

the overall was such a surprise, it still haunts me....

well....lemme get one thing outta my chest first, as a neutral reviewer, i shouldn't give gilgamesh more than half in any criteria.....but since this is my review, my rules apply and there's no point in NOT making it personal....

the anime IS one of the slowest animes i have ever seen...i literally had to check my sliding bar at times to make sure the video file was moving........and what about the story then?
the story IS what kept me glued to this awful anime......wow!!!! simply wow......the way it is told, the way it is unfold .....simply awesome....... the whole anime is drawn in a very dark and grim tone and which is the exact definition of the anime's nature..... it doesn't create workarounds for really dark subject matters and psychology...it keeps with them pretty simply like they are nothing special..

....so there you go...the story is awesome, and the animation is semi-perfect with loosely drawn characters and very good animation and perfect stylings

the soundtrack is sometimes awful and sometimes just what u need......so forget about some music to blow u away.....

the actions are awful at times ..... (i actually felt spongebob could have done better) ... but some were ok...so will give it a passing score

if u r into dark-themed animes ..... or good sci-fi animes....gigamesh is a must for u....but keep in mind about its slow pace and lack of good character design

hmm.... one of my advantages was i didn't hope for anything good from gonzo after afro samurai ..... but boy , was I WRONG!!!

the starting, the pacing and the ending were like three completely different animes.....and that is perhaps the best thing about blassreiter....the anime is based on multiple genres and the parts don't conflict a single bit with each other -
the energetic , fast paced action and sci-fi part ,
the slow and emotional and the moral justification parts
plot twists around the characters, heading towards a darker anime

the hero looks quite like bk201 and some other guy i can't remember .......and other characters also look like poorly hatched , given with the fact that all their designs had not a single thing new.....and thats the ONLY bad thing about the whole anime

the action picks up in an urban place, from the very first episode, and the emotional stuff and the plot twists start pouring in , all from the very first episode and the anime becomes hard to let go....... to tell u the truth, the story had cliche'd parts throughout , bit it didn't even bother me because the characters were so deeply involved in them......

same goes for the moral justification parts...the sorrow and suffering eating people up....the ancient "anime emo" ...... believe me, at the start of every one of these parts i was like "dude...not again (i just opened a hue thread in forums saying how much i dislike these) ...... and u will end up relating something to the character depicted to someone or some incident around u ..... u will feel something for them (of course, this is all based on the assumption u r not a nerd with big teeth who watch anime to rate it's "value" and define a level of criticism......lol )

the action scenes are completely CGI , making them eye candy and perfect and sometimes a bit odd....

the soundtrack and dub is good..i mean really good.....

the character designs are pretty common and normal but there are some really cool mechas, which include designs from ur giant mechas to transforming ones with a huge gun ...... just like i said before, the action rocks.....

all in all, a reaaaaaallllly awwwwwwesome action/sci-fi anime

well....i'm writing this review after a reaaalllllllly loooong time.....when i used to write reviews, there weren't even 10...now there's a top 50 list......sigh....

let's get back to the topic....as always, this is going to be a summary of my opinions about this particular anime

first of all, it's a two part OVA....and there's one thing you canhara say about most OVAs, if it has more than one episodes, and there's the word "action" in the genre, u will expect nothing less than an action and gore filled anime with lots of good things.....well...in my opinion, karas lives up to about 80% percent of it

the story isn't completely about fantasy/horror theme....it's a very ,very dark themed anime that uses these two types to mix several characters with completely different outlook and background to blend in with the story, and it doesn't quite work out for all the characters there and the story kinda falls out in places.....

but on the bright side, that's so far the only bad side considering u loving enjoying ur anime....

the animation is awesome, the hand drawn parts are really detailed and glossy , and mixed with pretty good CGI, the fast paced and unique action sequences (which are well choreographed btw) is a real treat for those who love action animes.....

i think i have already explained about the story, just one thing is left to say, and that is the story, in itself is consistent......apart from some weird falling outs at places, it is quite awesome , given that you are into dark-themed animes.....

oh....and the soundtrack isn't pretty good, but not so bad...but the dub could have definitely been better....

all in all , it's a pretty damn good action-horror-fantasy-sci-fi anime with good animation.....

When I say, Baccano isn't that good, i say it with an invisible sidenote that says "for serious anime lovers".
When i downloaded and watched the first episode of baccano,i was watching my previously downloaded GITS SAC, and i thought i should take a break from the really heavy and dry stuff.At that moment, Baccano didn't seem too bad, so i completed SAC and then watched baccano, and man, was i D-I-S-A-P-P-O-I-N-T-E-D.
why? and if i felt so repulsive then why am i recommending Baccano? well...thats actually what the review is all about
First of all, the characters, yeah i get it , aniplex wanted to create something out of the ordinary so they made an anime that revolves around one single incident ; but the incident itself is made of speks of events which are actually seperated over time; so u can't actually co-relate the characters as you do in the mainstream animes.This idea is annoying at times, like how on earth two idiotic immortal thieves and a crybaby gets involved with psycho killers from the mafia and another psychotic group after immortality??? ... though the idea seemed dull at the beginning, during the end, (eps 10-13) it was really awesome to see how all fitted together like Sin City.

Speaking of Sin City; Baccano boasts aniplexes trademak ; gore, some more gore and then a little more gore.....the violences are top notch and new since this time its no futuristic weapons or samurai or stupid vampires....plain ol' tommy ... some knuckle sandwitch, and knives...and hands..mostly...so it kinda gives you the scarface at 30's feeling

The greatest thing about baccano is its complexity and the worst thing. The storytelling style is brand new.Like Sin City, some awesome long stories and remarkable short stories composed of some ifferent characters come together at one grand event.But since the grand event (i'm not gonna tell u what it is and ruin all the fun, go ahead and watch it)itself is covered in a myst of different angles, people pice together all the info to make it whole.So the whole story makes unpredictable and quick journeys back and forward in time.It sometimes look cool and sometimes it is utterly stupid

One particual thing in baccano I found totally stupid ; i mean absolutely no good sides were there about it.It was the psychotic characters.They were so psychotic, i myself was felling like having a nervous breakdown.Weird laughs, weird talks, repeating same thing for thousand times, doing crazy violent shit all the time and you wonder "damn! those guys watch too much jerry springler" or "dude....they are so crazy..they'll make hannibal lecter look like a hotdog man"

thats all there is about it..baccano is an anime composed of some pretty good sides and a few bad sides, allthough i can't explain why on earth it got so high on ann's rating

p.s : baccano ova's are done...these are nt part of the main storyline, just some dvd extra to emphasize the brief ending, but unlike wolf's rain, they don't offer much of a story, so watch them if you really like the anime and hope for a better ending, otherwise, don't spoil it

jin-roh is a masterpiece, there's no doubt about it...i nfact, it is so good, it gets over the boundaries set by good animes, it is something u can only see in akira or ghost in the shell,
yes,i'm saying its a goddamn classic, and i think at some parts it has proven that it has as much depiction of life,greed, crime as flicks like goodfellas or layer cake (i mean only the defree o depiction of a dark world within)
Jin-roh, hmm...lessee...the animation is top-notch, i myself didn't believe it was going to be any good after i first saw it.The colors were dull and gloomy even though it was from 1999-2000; and there u have a twist, they kept the color like this in order to be more accurate in drawing the picture; because it is set on an alternate version of Tokyo set in the 70's ... in fact the animation is kept so realistic , you will even see the 70's dress-up and hairstyle among people.The cars are of 70's sedan model, ven the weapons, they use plain british stens, mausers, mp40s, i believe i have seen mp44s during a training session and the machine guns carried by the special squad are mg42's ; german standard issue Machine Guns , all of these were 70's trademark weapons for a normal-fitted militray force
Jin-Roh, isn't anybody's name , in fact, it's just a symbol, the real meaning of which you will find at the end of the movie.
The main character is Fuse(Pronounced Foos-A)...part of the "elite special squad" created to protect the government.The movie may not seem like much, but these guys are badasses, the MG42'S do as much damage as you have seen in saving private ryan, hell yeah, the movie has a decent amount of violence.

What makes the movie so special is its characters.They characters are way too deep compared to your daily anime.They are complex, they develop , and they have unrevealed sides...wowwieee

the soundtrack is somewhat boring but perfect for the movie's "classic" look ;philharmonic orchestra.
tthe level of symbolism used, the dark and gritty ending, the slow , yet complex storyline makes it a perfect choice for people who like to use gray matter in front of tv, i repeat, this anime is not for people who watch anime for Naruto

Ahh....my most favourite anime/OVA in the whole wide world.i have watched it so many times , i have actually lost count.

Animation/Violence - Top notch, from the facial expressions, to the parts where people are sliced, the animation is actually so solid u will actually be able to tell the difference when kenshin thrusts his sword (he cuts through the bones in one slice) and others do it

Sound Effects/OST - Awesome, both the japanese and the english dub are out of the ordinary.People were serious when they tried to imitate a stone cold killer, for the first time, the OST is also good, instead of some overzealous pop music, they used traditional and ancient flute and drums music, and they leave you in such a condition, u will want to watch t again and again

Storytelling - Like all great animes, this has a solid story built around one guy, kenshin, but it revolves around everyone except kenshin, which means it will show you what kenshin is, what he was , and what he will be.They make ocassional jumps in the past and present to figure out the events and add more beutiful complexity and artisti touch to the story.If the huge story (as you can see it is of 4 parts) was told at once, it would have lost the charisma, so don't get annoyed at sudden jumps from the stry, after you have completed watching it, u will adore it

Story - Aha....the story...the greatest story ever told in any anime is perhaps the story of trust and betrayal, The story is gorgeous , and it is sad, The story is awesome and at the same time is full of wonderful fights between one and himself, in a word, i haven't seen a melodramatic story so moving, so full of action and romance at the same time.I really wish i could say more, but every bit of story u hear from me will ruin your fun tenfold

My verdict - Watch it....or i'm literally gonna shoot you...the encoding is awesome and i wud preffer you watch the japanese if you feel like getting a romantic touch or the english dub if you feel nostalogic about The Last Samurai

whether u like mechas or not, u like sci-fi or not...even if you hate macross u must watch macross zero...even if you don't watch animes at all...its worth watching.
macross is something so big and one-of-a-kind that i will not dare to say something like which was bad, although about macross 7, i must say it felt like goddamn pokemon with mechas and adult characters....it had lost its charm back then....
well...before starting this review ..lemme tell you about my anime life...the first anime i had watched was robotech, back in 92-93 ,when star network deiced to air the animes for teens/kids...it was the very first time when i saw "fluid animation" .... the zentradi,or whatever the aliens are called and the transforming valkyries...man....i can still feel goosebumps....two different transforms for one fighter plane ? (gerwalk, the plane with legs and hands, and the full mecha) ....then came the awesome dog fights, and there was a bit of easy romance that everyone understood....so that was actually the firt time when i understood japanese animes are unique and can easily surpass hollywood when it came to storytelling
well...after 10 years...out of nostalogia , i watched macross 7 and was so disappointed i actually stopped watching mecha and became busy with other animes like samurai x and cowboy bebop

at 2008 , when i found minitheatre, i was hooked into downloading stuff...and out of curiosity i watched macross zero.....
man...what an experience that was....macross zero had everything ...only it had grown more mature since robotech...it had a really ...really touching story....an awesome story to be exact...and did i say the most wonderful dogfights ever??
macross dogfights are not like gundam or geass...nossireee....they are one of a kind because transforms take place inside the battle and the battles are varied in background....from the sky to the jungle...from the aliens...to well...lets not spoil it.

macross zero is set in 2008, so the backgrounds are a bit "realistic" compared to other macross...and here the characters are more involved with the mature way of life than other macrosses,
"u have to risk your life at least once for a woman"
the dogfights, and the armies, are therefore mainly built from the modern war machine concepts...u will not see mechs for washing underwears!!!! ....what i mean is they are awesome in the sense that they really depict the scenario where the transforming fighters are rare and hold the key to winning a war and are small but overwhelming ...in a nutshell...macross zero is about the fighters and the pilots...and the concept goes from just the un-anti un, to a really cool, arthur.c.clarke-styled sci-fi

what more can i say??? perhaps a lot...but nothing wud be enough...believe me...so just wath it for urself

Witch hunter robin ...is an unique anime ...in the sense that it is similar with so many animes and yet...it is also too much different from them

a secret organization...again...but this time they are hunting witches...this has been really eduactional for me in the sense that i got to know "witch" doesn't only mean people who look like pamela anderson 20 years from now....but people with extraordianry magical abilities...who are born with it......hunting them down are the organisation with some kind of green substance (can't remember the name yet....)...and robin is their youngest hunter ...(she is told to be 15 years old...but she looks at least 20...lol)

the thing that amazed me really is the concept of witches.....if u can think of having powers....what will u have?
whr features a wide range of these....from occult spells to telepaths.. people who can suck others life force or people who can re-animate dead objects
there are also people who are human but can use certain magic like robin who is a pyrokintic....
another great thing for this anime is its not arced...but follows a pattern of seperate stories...each story with different magics and all....thats gotta be interesting right....
this is one of the best rmvb encodes i have come accross and the dub is also good.the soundtracks are not so bad....you musct watch it for a change of pace

was it something like , wow, what an imagination!!!! ??
then this is just the anime for you.wolf's rain is more about an imaginary, but realistic parallel world which looks and feels really great.

If u look at the genres u will find it amazing.Too many genres have came across at one place and that is perhaps the best genre mixing i have rarely seen.The magical and fantasy elements are really great, and are the real catalysts for the anime.The sci-fi is for the excellent background setting,but not that much of it is inside the anime, so don't watch it as a sci-fi anime, its an anime about magic, i.e. alchemy and basic spells .
the four wolves, kiba,tsume,toboe,and higei are really different aspects, so i guarantee that u wont get bored with characters.

i have heard people complaining about this cause it was too slow...and i agree , but u must have to understand, this anime is not about action or romance, it is about introducing the world (remeber how restless we got after reading the first 3 potters about when will he grow up!!!) where the anime takes place....once it is down...it moves pretty fast...at the same time, you will also see some much needed voilent action ....yay!!!

during the last few episoded, i mean the last 4 ovas, it will get really emotional unlike many animes u see, all negative and shit....so brace urself for that...or don't...i have found this anime a good choice to be emotional over

CB's movie is not ur not ur typical anime continuation...first of all...this is just a seperate story that took place between the times of the main series that has defined the adult nature of animes.
In fact the genre is what is the most unique aspect of CB, and i cannot but love watanabe for this....the movie is sure as hell an awesome sci-fi....the depiction of futre world , as seen in the series , quite realistic , and the movie takes it a bit far....the bazars, the highways, thje battle scenes, the final combat, im not gonna spoil anything...go see for urself

theres not much to say about the animation of CB, they have always been top-notch,u can see the full movements of the slides in pistols during gunfights!!! and i must say watanabe did an excellent job in keeping the animations exactly as it was before in the series.damn...i'm gettin nostalogic...

same goes for the main characters...the new characters...vincent, a hacker, a runaway professor, a hacker, are all so well placed and well built, u may stop and think about someone close to you who resemble them....that is just another magic that watanabe delivers us

yoko amazes us yet again with his awesome jazz....the excellent dub is also present in this movie.
my only regret is that they didn't continue after the series...with someone like watanabe , it shud have been a piece of cake.

dont know much about the encode because i have allready downloaded the hdrip avi version....since it follows the same sorce..it must be good

did i say this was a must watch...well...it is

GITS is not for everyone....no matter what the anime enthusiasts say.This is a hardcore scifi anime made for only those kind of people who love complex stories like the ones from isac asimov and arthur c clark, and of course...who love a really really realistic future....

GITS is not about giant robots,but cyborg, and they explore a helluva lot inside the "human" side of the cyborgs/andorids.So in a sense this anime movie is also psychological
there'sot much to see if you are into romantic/goody two shoes themes, the title characters , motoko, batou are nothing of this sort.they have their own view of the world and they follow that all the time, so expect dialogues that u don't expect from other animes

there's lot of computer oriented stuff like hacking, cyber brains, cyber existense, which makes it too complex for audiences who watch their animes in a relaxed mood.There is also not a lot of action.but the few ocassional ones are awesome...thats because GITS is considered to be the most complex work of anime upto now...(for a 1995 anime...it was almost impossible)

the ost is not much to look at...it is one of ur ambient animes.....

the vgpd encode looks a bit dull, and steveyk's encode, as seen from the first 10 mins is better by an inch...so download after choosing ur pick....i recommend the hdrip jap audio version

and again...if u don't like stretched , complex, and story-driven anime movies, this is not for you...but if u haven't seen much, or into stuff like this...get it asap.

first of all, this anime is a shounen....but it is not ur average shounen.....if u watch the first episode, hell...not the first, about the first 10-12 episodes, u may try to slap ur face because u'll think that u have wasted precious bandwith.......i did too....but fortunately....i had 28 episodes downloaded on hdd and had an enormous amount of patience....and u know what? it finaly paid off too......

when u think of it....it does have 50 episodes...so they can fool around for the first quarter with stupid things such as detailed character introduction and the setting of the theme...

eureka 7 hits it off just like vampire knight....u almost deleted my entire 26 episodes of vk after seeing the first two episodes...then...just then it turned into an awesome thriller/vampire anime froma stupid girlie anime

eureka 7, after about 13 episodes, it will get normal, and after 26/27....it will go over the top.
the title character is weird...(my confusing memory....i cant remember his name...i only remember the girl was named eureka....lol) is stupid , and troublesome....more or less like the early ichigo...from bleach....he will make u laugh....and suddenly...the spects will change...and thats worth seeing

the animation is somewhat fluid...but the encode aint that much though....but since u r looking for 60 mb versions...this is the best that u get...so stop complaining about the square blips that appear on corners ....lol

well,,,for mecha fans...u have to be a bit of disappointed...its not gundam and neither has it any similarity with code geass or EVA or rahxphon, for that matter. the mecha design is somewhat weird ...thats okay cause the mechas are not ur typcal war mechas...they are mostly for mecha-ized version of surfing...in the air

the dub is quite good....in a nutshell...it has almost everything to be an unique anime except for the very thing that is required for most of the adult-oriented action/sci-fi animes....bloody bloody bloody battles

this anime is really one of a kind....how???
just see the first few episodes ... there are animes like detroit metal city, and there are animes like basilisk...but there is nothing like samurai champloo....yess....it is more like those two combined ....a hip-hop theme with samurai slashing....the only downfall i have noticed so far is that the fight scenes are too predictable...like samurai x, but that aint a problem since champloo is ot about the swords, but the people carrying it.......this is where watanabe's talents come in handy...he creates memorable heroes out of nitwits.Take our two heroes for example, jin and mugen.

jin is silent ....mugen is a nuisance...jin is too fast and smart....mugen is slow and reckless....so on and so forth....but as the end draws closer....these two become more bonded and start sharing aspects ...and thats one of the things why i recommend watching watanabe only if u are into characters

there is only a little bit of romance...and a lot of wacky humor....so dont push the muscles in your face too uch when u watch it coz u wont get a "samurai moment"....most likely a spoof ... like a guy will make scracthing sounds out of bamboo for the "mood music" of a warrior......u partcualrly might wanna recommend others to see and share episodes like baseball blues ...coz that one is really over the top hillarious

the soundtracks are also excellent....hiphop ....i really ddin't think itll go well with animes...but it does!!!


oh yeah...did i say this is the best encode ever to be in 55 mb???.....

Okay....what makes hellsing...hellsing?
thats an easy one...its the cutthroat voilence and action.The theme of the anime is derived from the europian genre of bram stoker's dracula...its not about hugh jackman with a stupid monk.Abraham van hellsing...the main hunter from the original novel creates an anti-vampire organistaion that works in secret (aint that obvious, its always secret...secret mechas...secret ;ittle girl androids...so on and so forth)

well...even though i don't like to inclde part of synopsis in my reviews , i did so because i want to make my points clear

first of all...yess..hellsing is a bit of overrated and cliched/corny in the sense that a vampire is killing of other vampires with silver bullets
well...thats where it ends too....and the fun aspects this anime begin.This anime has some of the gruesome violence ever (not considering the ovas/movies), and the violence has some kind of demented entertainment in it....coz i kinda likked it

Well...the soundtracks are kinda stupid....not much there is to say about it....the opening and ending themes are somewhat better...but needed more of a "rock" punch to match the theme.

the weapon designs are awesome...alucard ...the main vampire uses two handguns....both with differently matched stopping power...
the story is not at all slow...but the tv run is somewhat weird at the end coz then a really expanded story gets shut down all of a sudden and u found urself saying "yo....wtf ? "

the side characters are also with unique aspects...so it will now get boring..
one last thing...since it has dual audio...i wud suggest you to watch the japanese audio...coz crispin freeman does an awesome job with his "wolverine got mad" impression but everyone else just suck ....like some kids trying to imitate english accent

DMC is nt ur average monster buster anime.....its also not like those animes where someone just copied a storyline from the game and forgot to expand it

The soundtracks are something i would like to say about something first.....after black lagoon....this is something that has the most excellent heavy metal soundtracks.Rungran really kicks ass....

The episodes are not divided into arcs like black lagoon or gits, they are individual....and thats where it surpasses most animes....short stories, particulary in animes has a very good premise and appeal...u have too see it to believe it.....oh yeah...and in case u get bored...there is a "arced" storyline during the last 3 episodes , which will show a great deal of dante's real power....most likely a great teat for the lovers of the game like me

the action sequences were what kept the game series running...and that aint so different here......dante ....with his sword...and ebony and ivory....man.....i have never seen an anime where you can actually make something out of those hack and slash moments with ur joypad....yeah...those "blood gushing out everytime u slash and then slash a little more....and then shoot em to kingdom come" is the sort of action u will see here

not much to see about character development and romance...but it is kinda good coz that wouldn't have worked ...the monster design is also prettuy damn goodhere...the encoding is also excellent.

i have seen all the gits series and movies....but this one i will recommend for everyone coz its so damn good.
normally the problem arising from gits saga is the stories are too hard boiled and hardly makes sense with a bag of popcorn...u had to wake up and listen carefully to what everyone was aying to make out the story ...specially the movies and sac

but this is where individual 11 crosses the line...this story line was so great...i actually downloaded the shole sac 52 episodes to watch what sac really is....welll...that didn't go too well...thats why i recommend it even more

this one explres more of the "human" side of motoko...which makes her appear human...has very good romantic atmosphere...and helluva lot of action...yesssireee!!! ...action is gits...aint that just great?
the contination of the stories is what will catch your mind...even if u are watching the compilation, u wont need to worry about the characters...they will reveal themseles....and will ultimately become a great sci-fi, romantica and action movie that goes well even with a bag of popcorn

if u have seen the previous movies and didn't like them just because they were too dim....this is made for yo...go for it

get backers is a crossover of "teen oriented" animes like air gear and animes where u have some stupid caharacters with powers and they get evolved with the story.
This is one of the very few animes which has 50 episodes and all can be stated as equally good.i loved it the first time i saw it on animax.they did cut off a few violent secnes but that was okay since get backers was not about the violence.
get backers stands high because of only one reason...the mixing of different types of stories....some are single...some are arced...some are funny...some are really emotional...i'm not gonna tell which one...go see for urself...some have really jaw dropping hand-to-hand and special combat

the action and the animation are somewhat fluid...i guess u don't have to do much when the powers are just lightning and super strong punches....lol
no kidding...those two are really quite a piece of work...they'll make u laugh...and they'll make you wonder...the series does have a similarity with cowboy bebop there...it can get serious very quickly from a dull situation...

side chaarcters, the soundtrack are excellent when it comes to comparing the synchronization with the story's pace

and one last thing...subwoofa did and awesome job.....u can find dubbed rmvbs here and there but his mkvs are small and also better

did i say this is one of the animes that made me interested in animes...well there u go...this is one of those animes that u'll love for a change of pace

there's a lot to see in blood+ if u like oddball supernatural stories.
Even if u can see the word "blood" this anime will not turn out to be about some guys with fangs...nope this anime was quite tense and one of the masterpieces by aniplex/production I.G.....the character development is what makes it so awesome......i have rarely seen any anime where the characters go trough this much transition........beleive me...from the offshoot brother kai...to saya's lonely chevalier haji....they will develop in pace with the story.
Even that is not the greatest thing about the anime....it is the music...i personally am not a fan of japanese rock.....but i was compelled to "collect" all the opening themes.....and thats not it either....it is marc mancina...yeah the guy who made tracks with hans zimmer, made soundtracks for this anime and they are simply AWESOME

yeah...i guess the anime was TOO long but it was required....because of the complex and evolving nature of the story....when you think of it...the same thing goes for DBZ,Samurai X,InuYasha....

so this is not a must see for all....but the kind of people whom i described earlier to them....it is something to die for

thi one of those animes where u sit and watch for an hour after u have watched...a perfectly executed sci-fi by none other than anime legend shinchiro watanbe....this is the second anime i have watched and craved for since dbz
not because it was too complex...becuase it was unique...just like they claimed in the titles "the one which will became a genre itself" ...because of the plots....smalll stories packed into a great premise...i don't know how else to put it but thi simply the best animation before the complete computer generation was produced...it was flawless....the music by yok was outstanding...u will forget that the characters,the sequences are hand-drawn!!!!

this is not shabby , not overrated like people claim...it is just that movies like Matrix and GITS are purely about the theme development...not about sequences...so if you are hot blooded...calm yourself before watching this

Basilisk is such an anime......
the action is out of the ordinary....the story is awesome...the animation is jaw-dropping...the sound effects are unbelievable...the dub is the best since FMA and Black Lagoon...the fight sequences are not quite like Samurai X or Berserk....they are quite unpredictable...and unique...well u have to see it to believe it...im not playing with you!!!!

Basilisk's shining glory like great animes is its overall appeal...it will not get dim,boring in between...that i assure you...if u are bored out of wits with titles like afro,kenshin,berserk...try this one for change....just watch the first 10 minutes of the first episode...

and yeah...the encode kicks ass!!!! awesome!!! this is the first 60mb dual/audio dub Basilisk encode...thnx guys

the similarity with other movies is the killer depicted here looks real....and feels like one too...and this is one good reason to watch the whole anime...however...if you don't like that kinda movies...it may seem overcliche'd to you....the dubbing is quite ok...but nothing spectacular....the encoding...well i must say even though i preffer x264 encoding...this one is not so bad compared to other rmvbs...but it wud have been better with mkv...but since it is the first dub i have come accross ...i wud say...hell yeah
anyways....there is actually nothing more to say here...the story is fast paced and u may like it...same goes for brief action sequences...this is a good anime unless you are allready bored with stuff like Leon,Hitman etc

I had some superstitions about japanese paranormal / sci-fi animes...it was they are always about alien invasions and a bad guy becoming good and saving the world....well....but....

the characters are diverse....unique and have quite the unpredicatbility within to make u watch every episode with keen vision...the japanese voice acting is also something i have found quite amazing since blood+ ...the plot is awesome...so are the complexity of the characters...the best thing for this anime is perhaps the overall ipmression...it goes beyond the limits set by the traditional fantasy/sci-fi animes and goest towards a completely new kind of story
whether u love the fantasy/sci-fi animes this one is a must watch

well....i thought vampire knight was a bit too girly/shounen....but the sequel certainly hits it off....lotsa plot twists that give the good story a bit of "mature" push ahead...and the best thing is you get to see more violence
i kinda like the animes that offer violent fights....but i still loved vampire knight for its unique way of presenting the story...u know ...the thing about kaname...mixed with the dark aura of zero...the loopy chairman cross...the hunter master...all of them does excellent for this second series...the ending was good, really...a satisfying one...if u have liked the first season...this one...u r gonna just LOVE

oh...and yeah...the songs at the start and the end are pretty good too....what lacks here is the quality of animation...i don't mean that in bad way...its just that they are too "so common anime-faced that u cant tell a irl from a boy"

The second season is even more recommended , even if u don't watch animes i will urge you to see just one episde at leat and i promise you, you won't be able to stop

The first season was all about the underworld...the second focuses heavily on the impacts underworld has on people....from a money launderer to a high school student...believe me...this anime will blow ur brains out with its ultimate ingridient, its violence....

nope...i'm not talkin about kill bill, you won't see a guy bleed two buckets of blood just beacuse he has shot in his wrist....but there will be more violent scenes than those in kill bill (remeber o-ren ishi's anime about her origin?)

The characters here gets more complex than the first season so don't watch if u haven't wached the first season...in second season the characters will get more aggressive (it is about crime)...and more realistic...even if u are into movies like the godfather..u will be able to tell how much MORE realistic characters are here ..u won't be able to deny its powerful rush of adrenaline...the best thing is ... there are stories presented in a fully neutral view...more than the first season ...... if u are really into chibi-animes ...get lost ... or better wach this one and i guarantee you...unless you are under 12...you will consider this the greatest anime you have ever watched

do you remeber scarface? yeah....the movie where al pacino was screaming with a m16/m203? ever wanted a movie that made much more sense with the same kind of violent theme?

The characters are reallly..really diverse....u will have a heard time comparing any two of them....and there are lots of em cause the anime is arc-based (u know...2/3 episodes for one arc).
There are Guns...there is raw violence and there is a lot of swearing...this is efinitely not your garden variety anime...people will die in here!!!!
the dialogues are wity....almost as if taken from an american gangster movie but even better....u will like it even more when the story advances cause its theme is fast paced action and violence from a total neutral viewpont through the diverse characters.it has only 13 episodes in the first season and another 13 in the second...the first season is all about the gritty introduction to the underworld through an unique style of philosophy and sophistication....if u don't like this anime there is no hope for you

This anime is definitely one of the best anime dubbing i have come accross

Even if u are too much addicted to the giant sized cool-lloking gundam/robotech (mecha) animes....this one will definitely cheer u up....
the plot is not that great....compared to animes such as death note or cowboy bebop...but one thing sure lights the fire....it is the character development.
i hav seen very few animes in my life where the characters are put through this much transition, a good example will be FMA...the story gets matured with every advancement of episodes and the action gets tense....some episodes turn out to be melodramatic but they will bring out the best in the mecha-anime genre if u watch all the episodes

the dubbing is not that great compared to death note/fma/black lagoon but sure packs a great punch....code geass r1 is the must watch anime when you are an anime freak who loves plot twists and mild action with mature pace and complex characters
