I don't know why this anime is standing on the number 1 or the rating. Surely I has watched the first season, it was great, but comparing the second to the first, it's a joke.
First, talk about the story, sure the story is great and all, talking about "guts", "never backing down attitude" and "rival compassion" like in the 1st season but this is where it falls, let's call it "old concept" which grants you nothing new...
Animation: yeah the animation is smooth, ofcourse we're talking about 21 century anime, it must be better than the ones in the ninety decade. But it's art stlye doesn't give me any impression like it was in the first season, where you can clearly see the extraordinary muscle of the boxers, the chills when they are exchanging punchs.
Sound: The MC's voice sometimes is so annoying!
Enjoyment: I had a good time watching it, but it didn't make me hooked my eyes in the screen like it did in the first season, the action sure was fast paced but it was lacking something, something that make you jaw-dropping "OMFG I didn't know that was possible". Sometimes, the flow in the anime is so obvious you can predict what will happen next, so where is the fun?

Overall, this is a great anime, but it's not as good as the first season. Anyway this is my own opinion, watch it and rate it yourself. Oh the encode is still at it's best! :D

If you like Code Geass, I recommend you watch this anime. They have the same thing in common: a person acquires a god-like gift and want to change the world.

The anime has a dark atmostphere through out every episode, yes because the anime is dark itself. When you watch this anime, sometimes you will wonder yourself: is doing evil for a good cause evil?

The story is decent and well plot but only till the episode where Light defeats L (sorry for spoiling you). Afterthat, I find myself the anime is boring to watch, I even think they added those episodes later just for extra season. So I got bored at the 2nd half of this anime.

Overall, the anime is good, a must-watch, yeah, it's not too long or too short, perfect.

Story:
The story is good with unexpected twists and turns, good plot.

Animation:
Very smooth, I like it but I don't like Clamp style much.

Sound:
Well the sound is good, actually I noticed there wasn't much variety in music but the right music was played at the right moment, kept the story flow.

Character:
With detailed background, yes, make you hooked up. Eventually you'll feel like you have connection with them. Lol

The anime is about one person with a god-like gift and he wants to change the world willing to sacrifice anything including himself to accomplise his goal. Imagine the world is like a chess table in which every person is a chess piece with a role to play.

IMO, this is a must-watch anime. If you haven't watched the 1st season, you'd better watch it before watching this, you'll have a better grasp of what's going on and why it's like this. The main things that make this anime great are the characters and the story with well plot. It makes you want more and more after each episode wondering "what's the next move?". And what can I say about the encode? It's the best for it's size.
