General Rules
^{Note: The General Rules applies to all sections (eg. Chat, Forum, Listings, Blogs, Poll etc.) of the site.}

- MiniTheatre is aimed at a general audience. This means our site is designed for 13 year olds and older. Everything must be aimed at this age and older. Explicit, vulgar language, drug talk, nudity, porn and so forth is not allowed.

- Treat others positively and with respect this also applies to private messaging (PM) and chatbox.

- Do not mini-mod. We would like to encourage and thank members to use the report button but not add their own criticism.

- All publicly displayed messages are only limited to English. This includes posts, titles, signatures, profiles and other forms of public display.

- Do not spam, especially spam links. If confirmed, then staff(s) will automatically delete your spam and a possibility to get you banned immediately. The following are just a few examples of spam:

- Posting re-encodes from other sites
- Promoting a rival sites URL link (example a site that provides re-encoded anime)
- Posting referral links is also considered spam.
- Posting advertisements

Submission Rules

General Rules:
- All encodes must be your own encodes.
- You cannot post an listing present in the same category but if its better quality for example a blu-ray rip or dvd-rip or high quality manga scans. then you can PM a editor, publisher, helper-editor to post your links besides/inside the already present anime/manga/dorama list.

Anime:
- All re-encoded SD and mtHD episodes less than or equal to 30 mins need to be less than or equal to 100mb in file size

Dorama:
- Dorama varies in length so to check if its mini-size be sure the bitrate is around 300-500 or if you use CRF the value should be in the range of 25-29

Manga:
- Just be sure to check the manga reservation thread first you can even reserved there -> Manga Reservation Thread

Requesting Anime Rules
- For now, no points are required to make a request
- You may only request one (1) anime series at a time.
- You must provide the HQ download links that you wish to be re-encoded and make sure that the links are working. This also means dont provide anime that are re-encoded already like less than 100mb files for a 24 minute episode and dont also provide RMVB files as HQ source for re-encoding because RMVB anime are already re-encoded

Here is a list of websites which are recommended to find HQ videos. If you are unable to find the anime, it might be listed under an alternate name (ie Hajime no Ippo aka Fighting Spirit). You can find alternate names on Anime News Network or My Anime List:

- Don't expect an anime to be re-encoded just because you don't like the given file size
- The Encoder will determine which host to upload the videos to. However, you may request that it be Mirrored (copied to another host (ie RS to MU)).
- Be sure to search Minitheatre -> Advanced Search
and the Anime Reservation Section -> Anime Reservation Section
to make sure that the series hasn’t already been or will be re-encoded.

Requesting Manga Rules
- For now, no points are required to make a request

to make sure that the series hasn't already been uploaded

Reviews Rules
- Do not post one-liner messages as reviews we encourage you to make atleast 5 sentences
so that means don't post reviews only that contains "Great" or "SUCKS!"

What is the purpose of MT?

Minitheatre's goal is to promote Japanese media like anime, dorama, etc in small sizes so that people can watch this shows in low to mediocre quality and if they like it they could support the Japanese media companies through buying the original high quality media files.

How to submit anime for MT?

Every registered member can post their OWN mkv/mp4 encodes on MT (Submit an anime from top menu, anime - if you have uploaded your files, if you haven't uploaded them yet, use Reservation thread).
You can reserve animes you want to encode in future from anime menu, reservation.

Put Download Links in description section. Move your mouse over (i) icons to see tips on filling fields for anime. In order to choose the right section for submitting anime, read the information on encoding.
You can find information about an anime (or ....) from MyAnimeList.net

Do NOT post links from other sites, ask them to post their links here on MT by themselves.
To edit, or remove your own anime listing, you can use "Submission Management" in community, control panel (or Anime listing application from community, applications) , then using "Edit" or "Delete" links next to your name, you can edit or remove your anime respectively.

If you want to encode a currently listed anime to a diffrent size, contact it's author and if you didn't get any answer for a long time, send your upload links to one of editors -> List of MT Staff

If you want to encode an anime, already listed on MT but missing some episodes (it should have dropped for its status), use the thread in Forum, MiniTheatre, Announcements, "Volunteer for encoding dropped animes".

How to encode anime?

If you are new to encoding, and want to upload something for MT but don't know how to encode, go to: forum, encoding, general chats, guides; there you can find MKV encoding guide for some video conversion softwares. Or you can use MiniCoder, it's really easy and you'll get a good quality encode.

Before encoding, check that it's not encoded before, use the search box on top of all pages (we can have three versions from each anime/movie: sub, dub, dual audio), if you want to encode an already listed anime with different size or type, send your links to its first encoder or to one of editors.
Do not forget to check reservations,
there you can see who is encoding what, and list the animes you want to encode.

Maximum encode size is 100mb, preferred size is 40-60mb each episode. And check the mini-size encoding guidelines stickied on the encoding guides section

If an encode has English audio, it should be posted under either Dub or Dual audio, it doesn't matter if it's ongoing or movie as long as it has English audio.

So if it's a movie and has English audio track, under dub or dual, but if it has only Japanese audio under movie. If it is a series and has only Japanese audio under sub (completed airing) or ongoing (still airing), but if it has English audio, under dub or dual.

mtHD section is for high bit-rate or high resolution (720p and higher) animes, it's not important if it's ongoing or English dub as long as it is HD resolution, all HD ones go into mtHD section.
So if an anime is RMVB or mtHD, nothing else is important (it doesn't matter if it has English audio or it is still ongoing), it will be under RMVB or mtHD.

If you want to continue encoding an anime that has been left uncontinued for a long time but it's status is not dropped, you can contact one of MT's editors and send your encode links to him and tell him that it's been dropped.

If you want to encode a currently listed anime to a diffrent size, contact it's author and if you didn't get any answer for a long time, send your upload links to one of editors -> List of MT Staff

How to requests animes and report broken links?

Please use "Contact Writer!" to inform listing writer/encoder/uploader about broken links as well.
Reporting broken links can be done in forum, minitheatre, helpdesk, "Report broken links here!"
(it's better to send a message to its encoder first, then if you didn't get any answer post it in forum)

How to change your profile settings?

To change your profile picture, go to community, Profile, Change profile picture.

To change your signature in forum, use "signature setting" link in forum.

To see your favorite animes, your anime reviews, and those animes you have posted, go to your community Profile Page.
