Chobits really isn't much of an original series, the same concept has been done many times. So I had to dock points in the story category. However, I think that what it does, it does well for being unoriginal.
It's filled with cute moments. and comedy. and fanservice, which is probably my least favorite thing about the series. way too much fanservice. There is also quite a few recap episodes, while I think we wouldn't need that many. but other than that and the unoriginal thing, I dont have many other complaints.
The art's done pretty well, but why I gave it such a high score is really because I love how detailed the lolita-style dresses are. They're so cute!
The sound...the OP song is a pop song called "Let Me Be With You" and suits it pretty well, I think. I also think the ED songs were chosen well also. Oh, and I LOVE Chii's voice. It's adorable and is perfect for her.
Personally, I really liked all the characters. I also really like the decent amount of character development and relationship development throughout it. It fits characters you would think will have nothing to do with eachother, and makes characters main characters that you would've thought, in the beginning, wouldn't really play too big a role.
I also really like the morals in it.
Also, I'd like to mention that, while I do like the anime, I think the anime pales in comparison to the manga, the manga explains a lot that isn't explained in the anime.
Regardless though, overall, I personally enjoyed it a lot. As long as you can get past the initial unoriginality, it's a good watch, I suggest it.
